Annie smiled more at that and answered, softly, "I love the sound of rain. The way it hits the pane of glass, or leaves, or just the concrete...or even itself. I just love the sound of the rain."
It was the way she said it, going off into her past, that made it seem more mystical then it really was. She settled lightly on the ground and leaned over slightly, as if half curling over on herself. She wondered if she could hear his smile, which she could only do sometimes, when people were incrediably excited or happy over something that was happening or going to happen.
She laughed softly and looked at Nick/Haze. Or, she did in a fashion. She wondered what it would be like to meet someone's eyes on accident. She had once wondered about that, but the way her mother sometimes reacted, she knew it was something to not bring up ever again. "Nick...did you ever wonder what a star sounded like? I mean, everything has to have a sound, rgiht? Well...except you, in your silence. It's still is a little unnerving," she questioned quietly, looking over at him.

The sound of rain. It was almost as good as the sound of a creek in Haze’s viewpoint. Annie’s smile had gotten even bigger too. He let a large smile crack over the Holoform face too. He wasn’t a human, but he should get used to acting like one while using the holoform. It would be good for future disguises, and possibly acting stupid for his employers.
He shut the eyes of the holoform. It was peaceful, especially since he cut off the optics of his true body. That meant he was just as blind as Annie, at least until he opened his eyes. He did just that when she laughed. He would’ve swore the holoform had met her eyes, had it not been for her being blind. Her question. Yes. Yes, I have wondered about what a star sounded like. Everything should have a sound. At least I think it should have some kind of sound. That confused him a little. She said that how quiet he was was unnerving. But everything had to have a sound. Didn't it?

Annie smiled a little. "You are quieter then most other people I've met though. It's...odd for me. But, yes, everything should have a sound. Hmm...I think a star would sound like....a soft fire, with a quiet crackling and the quiet flow of a brook behind it. A contridictory," she murmurred quietly and she looked over at him.
She inched over a little and slowly lay back down. She enjoyed the feeling of the grass on her face and she closed her eyes. She was going to enjoy the feeling of the grass and the way it was soft. "It is obviously a rich summer. The grass is so soft this year," she murmurred softly with a smile.
She shifted and curled up a little more. She seemed to be enjoying both the conversation and just the sensation of touching. She seemed to love that sense the most. Probably because it was less confusing then her other senses. She shifted a little and her blonde hair was soon decorated with some loose grass blades and she smiled a little at Nick/Haze. "You're not as quiet as before though. It's like you livened up a bit," she added and closed her eyes, as it was more relaxing that way.

That is an apt description. If only we truly knew, instead of just guessing. But, seeing as space was a vacuum, no sound could be heard out there. And if a star formed on a planet, then that would also mean that, while they knew what it sounded like, the planet and everything on it was doomed. That would not be good. Haze gave a little nod, mainly to himself.
He watched as Annie moved over a little, before laying back down. He didn’t really feel like replying to that. Plus, it wasn’t really something that he felt would be necessary to reply to. He was watching the lake until she moved more. Then his ‘eyes’ moved back to her. That’s good. I think. Do you have many friends? Sorry fi it’s a sore subject for you.
[ooc: It's kinda short. I was going for longer. Sorry.]

Annie smiled and shook her head. "Outside of you, no. People become really self-consious around me and that just makes it difficult. So, I know people, but none are my friends," she responded softly with a smile.
This was a different smile. This was a bitter-sweet smile, as if she knew people who couldn't set aside being uncomfortable weren't worth being friends with, but she wanted friends. She snuggled, almost, into the grass, and she smiled a little more. "People fear what they don't understand. Or get confused or get lost. I'm just so used to it that it becomes second-nature to me," she added with a small shrug and she opened her eyes, as if this would give an impression she was focusing on Nick.
She always did, but give "eye contact" was easier with eyes open. She shifted a little more and she smiled a little at him. She looked towards Nick and asked, "Do you have any friends Nick?"

Outside of him? Haze guessed that meant Annie thought of him as a friend. She was doing better than him. He didn’t know a single person (other than her) that wasn’t a giant robot. Or seeing as he was a transformer, that could mean they were equal. He would have to think about t that sometime. Technically, she was more of a friend than any of the Decepticons he knew. Of course, he wasn’t sure if he could call her a friend. But while he was wondering this, she gave a more bittersweet smile. As if some sad thoughts intermingled with some happy thoughts in her mind.
Haze agreed with what she said. He knew some Cybertronians who were like that. But him, he was curious. If he didn’t know something, he tried to find it out. If he didn’t understand it, he tried to figure out what it was. After she was done speaking, Annie opened her eyes. He figured it was more of a subconscious movement. But then she looked at him and asked if he had any friends. He considered this for a second, and then decided to answer Annie’s question with a quote. As you said, ‘Outside of you, no.’ I don’t really know many people.

Annie shifted and laughed a little. "Sorry...I've never been quoted before. I must be getting famous," she commented with a grin and curled up slightly on the grass before hearing her mother call her.
She let out a soft groan and slowly began getting up, her cane hanging slightly off her wrist. She groaned again and shook her head slightly at her parents. "I'm coming!" she exclaimed before looking at Nick.
"Want to join us? You don't have to eat, promise," she inquired of Haze, her eyes just over his shoulder, but at least in his direction.
It was time for lunch, really, and they had already made sure that there was nothing that would make Annie look...odd while she ate. She shifted and continued to look in his general direction, waiting for his responce. She wasn't usually this quiet, but...that would be because she was waiting. She didn't often wait either.

Haze let out a small chuckle at her comment about becoming famous. And then she curled up on the grass, if only a little. But then he looked at her, trying to decipher why she groaned. It confused him some, until she pretty much yelled that she was going to her parents. Then she did something else he didn’t expect. She turned to him and asked if he wanted to join them. He was a little more at ease because she promised that he wouldn’t have to eat.
He stood there for a number of seconds, considering it. If he didn’t, he might just appear rude. But if he did, it could get awkward. Which was he going to do? Hm, it took him several moments to decide. He started walking in the direction of Annie’s parents, right before saying, Okay. I’ll join you. I’m just not really hungry. He wondered how she would react to that.

Annie smiled a little and held out her hand. "That's all right. Dad is usually not that hungry around this time either. If I know him, he's been sitting up there with a drink of some sort while Mom has been chowing away. Dad only has two meals a day," she responded with a smile.
Once up, she began to let her cane feel ahead. Up the hill to where the picnic was, where she was correct. Her mother, being the designated driver, was having juice, while her father was smiling around the neck of a 1/5 gone beer in a glass bottle. Of course, Annie didn't see that and she began to run her fingers along her cane as she settled down.
Handed a sandwich, she smiled and found the bottle that was shaped like an hourglass, aka, hers. "He isn't hungry Mom," she stated at the soft rustle of paper that held the sandwiches.
"Who is your new friend?" her dad asked with a grin.
She could hear it in his voice. "Nick," she responded cheerfully.

Haze just realized that he would have to stay down by the lake while his holoform went up the hill. Annie was talking and she had held out her hand. She described what her parents were likely doing. He had all audio sensors he had paying attention to what was happening up there. The holomatter avatar reached the top of the hill shortly after Annie, but even though he was perfectly capable of introducing himself, she got that done before he could. But, of course, the question about who he was was directed to her.
Hello. Nice to meet you. So far anyway. This could get good or bad. The person that was obviously the male parental unit was drinking what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage of some sorts. Probably beer. Her father was the one that had asked about him. And before that the female parental unit, her mother, had apparently been about to get him a sandwich but she went ahead and got to saying he wasn’t hungry. He really wasn’t, after all, robots didn’t really need ‘food’. He waited to see what those three would do.
ooc: Sorry about the "parental unit" mentions and few scientific terms. I thought about the first movie and couldn't resist.

Annie smiled a little and began to eat. It was in small quiet bites and she looked over at Haze's Avatar. She actually looked relaxed, even content. She was actually eating a cucumber sandwich, which was cool and made an odd crunching sound. It was one prefered by Annie, since it assured that she got as many cucumbers as she wanted in a bite.
She looked over at the boy, in a fashion, and asked, "Hey, what time do you have to go home?"
Her mother looked over at the boy with a raised eyebrow. She wondered who this boy was, but her daughter seemed to trust him. She smiled a little at the pair and nudged her husband a little who shook his head slightly at his wife.
Annie seemed oblivious of this and she continued to eat her sandwich. She paused only to drink some of her juice and shifted a little in her seat on the blanket, wondering if Nick would start asking questions again.

Haze had sat down when he noticed that Annie’s parents didn’t really disapprove. Annie was eating some type of sandwich, that was crunching pretty loudly. He couldn’t identify what the sound was. It did sound like some kind of vegetable, fruit didn’t crunch like that, and most crunchy foods wouldn’t be found on a sandwich unless it was a vegetable. He’d just leave that mystery unsolved. Meanwhile, she had looked at him and asked when he had to leave. Slag! He had missed something. He forgot a curfew. He quickly threw one together.
I have to be home by 9 o’clock on the dot. Why do you ask? That was a pretty good time. It made a bit of sense for the seeming age of the holoform. He was trying to think of any good questions he could ask of her, and couldn’t think of any. But why would she want to know his curfew? He had already asked that and wasn’t about to repeat himself, unless she asked. He was not letting his curiosity at that show on the holoform’s face though.

Annie grinned. "Oh, good! I am glad you won't get in trouble," she responded happily and she flicked a stray blonde lock out of her face while her parents shared a look.
It was the look that stated 'she seems to forget that people's curfews are different then hers'. Her mother looked up and was surprised to see that Annie was distracted by the party. "Usually it doesn't bug me this much, but that party is really getting to me," she commented, as if she could feel her parents surprise, or she could be answering a question she almost heard coming from Nick.
She shifted again and finished up her sandwich, as well as her juice, before looking over at Nick. "Walk with me?" she asked softly and her parents looked over at her in surprise.

This girl just kept surprising him. Annie was still distracted by the party, and it was really bothering her. He hadn’t really expected that. Haze was really taken aback by the fact that she had asked him to walk with her. Most human guys would probably have been surprised by that statement. When Haze responded through the holoform, he didn’t have to fake the stuttering. He was completely taken aback. S-s-sure. Haze also had a look of surprise on the face of the holoform, ‘Nick’.
He had the holomatter avatar stand up, and at the same time, had his hands and feet fold out of his alternate mode. Then he had the radio start to move nonchalantly around the base of the hill, careful not to be seen. ‘Nick’ was waiting for Annie to stand up. He even offered his hand, Need a hand?

Annie smiled brightly at his responce and nodded happily, almost as if ignoring his surprise. With that, she began to work on getting up, only finding it difficult. Of course, that might be because she wasn't sure if what was around her ankle was the blanket or just a cuff of her pants pulled oddly. She looked up slightly and nodded. Holding up her hand, she smiled and responded, "Please. I can't tell if this is blanket or pants."
Once he had her hand, she was up. Relocating her cane in her other hand, she began to head down the hill. She heard an odd rustling sound, kind-of, and brushed it off, figuring that it was a squirrel or bird. Not that she heard anything else, but yelling at the animals did nothing.
