It was no big deal! Really! Sam deserved to go home and enjoy himself, with his super hot and sexy girlfriend. Really, it was…ah, who was Leo kiddin’? He hated having to stay at the school because his parents were just a little too busy for him to come home. Really, it was cool!
No it wasn’t.
Leo groaned and got up, heading toward the outdoors. He let out a soft growl and kicked at the tuft of grass. He shifted and shook his head. Man, he couldn’t even hang out with the Twins. Now, they were awesome.
A pair of really cool dudes, especially for being robots. Giant ‘effing robots! And they kicked ass!
Leo grinned as he walked out, thinking about the twins. He smiled brightly at the thought of the twins, his dorky smile, and looked around before falling out of his good mood. He didn’t even have his dudes around to help him with his site, they were all at home too.
He sighed softly and kicked out at the dirt, sending a few rocks skittering away. “Man, I see the real ‘effing deal, and I don’t get to see ‘em that often. Man, this bites,” he muttered out, sending some rocks skittering out into the road.
Not even a hot chick was around. Man, he put on his nice jeans and nice shirt (all right, nice plaid shirt, but still) for nothing.

Chris sighed, he had grown bored of the NEST base and after a lot of hackling had convinced Sideswipe to drive him to Turnberry U. He had a summer reading list, and he still had a few books that needed to be read. He read almost all of them but was missing a few. And the libraries in the New Jeresy town NEST was near were sold out.
Sure, he wasn't going to school next most likely. But he was just so damn determined he could convince his Dad to let him he had to try. He sighed, turning a corner he walked into someone. He sighed, seeing Leo was the person he walked into.
He was the last person he needed to see at the moment. Without Sam, chances were he was bored. Not to mention unlike Sam and Mikaela he didn't know he was Optimus's kid. So everytime something weird happened around him they played a rousing game of 20 questions. And considering, he was pretty sure Leo thought he was still living in California he was in for another round.
He sighed, figuring he may as well be nice. "Oh sorry Leo." He commented "Didn't see you there."

Leo nearly fell from someone crashing into him and he looked up with a beyond annoyed look. “Hey! Watch where…Chris! Dude! Long time no see! What’s new? How are you? How’s Sam and Mikaela? What are you doing out here? Did you move? How’s David?” he rattled out quickly, attempting to throw his arm around Chris’s shoulder.
He had a huge grin on his face and he looked relaxed. He swished one of his curls out of his face, though he refused to call it a curl, and he beamed. Finally someone he knew! He could stop being bored and at least there was someone who could understand that the real ‘effing deal was out there.
“Seriously, long time, no see. Tough, since you are, or were, on the West Coast? Sam okay?” Leo added, forgetting he had already asked about Sam.
He really cared about his best friend…his only friend, though he wouldn’t admit it. Those other two guys just worked for him, that was it. “How’s everyone at the NEST?” he inquired, grinning at the younger boy.

Chris sighed, and the twenty questions game began. He shrugged a bit then looked at him. "Haven't seen Sam or Mikaela in a while. You could say I moved, but it really depends on your definition of the word." He then corrected himself "Actually I did see Sam, he was at my eighteenth birthday part three days ago. He's good."
When Leo asked about NEST he had to be careful and he knew it. One slip of the word 'Uncle' in front of any of any of the Autobot's names and he'd be the next subject of 'The Real Effin' Deal' and he knew it. "Oh the 'bots are good. Stressed... Apparently Optimus has a kid and he's in some sort of danger." He explained, careful not to mention he was said-ki.

Leo looked confused for a moment, and also a little concerned. He hadn’t seen…oh, there we go. He had seen them. Leo almost let out a breathe of relief and smiled. “Oh…good! That’s good man! You on vacation or something? Eh, whatever! It’s good to see someone I know! This is good!” he responded happily, keeping his arm around Chris’s shoulders.
He looked over at Chris in concern and let out a low sigh. “Man, the poor big guy! I hope his kid is okay. Gah…why are you here? I mean, seriously, a college? You searchin’ out college grounds already?” he asked with a little laugh.
He was trying not to think about the fact that Sam could be in danger. No, don’t think about that part.
Leo let Chris go with a grin and fell into step with him. “Did ya drive or someone drive ya?” he asked with a tiny grin.
He was hoping for Mudflap or Skids, but…he didn’t know. He really got along well with the twins. He wasn’t sure if they were actual friends or not, but he liked the thought of having the Twins as his friends.
Well, those twins.

Chris sighed, Leo was being Leo yet again chipper and upbeat again. He thought for a minute, how did he answer and be ambigous. "No, uh... Uncle Richard recently died. So David and I were sent to live with our biological Dad a state away." He sincerely hoped Leo would not make the connection "No actually, I was here with Sam about a month ago. I did that already. But I need to get some stuff rom the library. All the libraries are sold out near my new house regarding books for my summer reading list."
"I drove... Dad gave me a car as a... Welcome home present." Chris really hoped Leo wouldn't see Sideswipe when he drove up. There was no way he could lie then. Leo would so obviously make the connection upon sight.

Leo’s smile dropped when he heard that. “Oh, ouch. My condolences,” he responded quietly.
He didn’t really do anything other then that, though he was soon over it. He was happy again and he nodded. He looked thoughtful for a moment and answered, “Oh, yeah. I remember now. Of course, I had my site to look forward to then. My peeps went home too, so I had to lock it down ‘til they come back of course. Which, allows me to bury some evidence that I’ve found about the boys back in the nest.”
He smiled and let out a low whistle. “Nice dude! Man, my car was killed two days after I got it! You wanna know why? The engine was worth less then the money I paid for the car! I finally earned some of my own money, since my parents are paying for college, I don’t wanna bug about a car, ya know?” he responded, not seeing Sideswipe.
That, of course, might be more because he didn’t want to see Sideswipe then actually missing him. “Hey, I’ll help ya with your books!” Leo exclaimed.

"That would be great Leo, thanks." Chris replied to the books thing, but only nodded at everything. He sighed, hearing what Leo had to say he felt bad that he could so easily get a car through his Dad. He sighed, maybe he should just tell Leo and get it over with.
"Leo, I think it's time I told you something..." Chris said calmly as he began, his face getting a litte serious "But I don't want you to freak out on me ok? As in don't shout it in the middle of the campus."

Leo nodded happily and followed after Chris. He looked over in surprise as Chris went all serious on him however. He blinked and paused. He took a deep breathe and willed his mind to the special place that he had found when he went to go help the guys in the chopper. He smiled a little at the guy who was friends with his best friend and nodded, “Promise Chris. No shouting it across the campus.”
He actually sounded calm, serious. Saving Simmons, saving the guys in the chopper, facing down a giant Transformer (stupid Constructicons), had given him a spot in his brain for seriousness. He was a stupid frat boy the rest of the time, but he could be serious. He just rarely used that part of his brain. It was for serious matters, not picking up chicks.
Even if picking up chicks was a serious buisness, but not that serious.

Chris stopped and looked both ways, he rolled up his shirt sleeve revealing an odd birthmark. It was in the shape of the Autobot symbol. "I'm Optimus's son." He replied simply.
At any moment he expected a freak out by Leo. He probably expected a robotic kid not a half-human one. He sighed, rolling his shirt sleeve back down and waiting for whatever reply was coming. He watched Leo intently.

The first thing Leo did was shudder. "I could have done without that thought," he answered, though inside his mind, he was freaking out.
Oh, he was more then freaking out...he was flipping out. He wanted to ask a million questions and he found that the little corner of his mind was great. He shuddered again before answering, "Awesome dude...well, except for the...holy shi-...You're in trouble! Oh my Lord! You okay, right?"
He thought about the chopper guys again and immediatly took a deep breathe. "Sorry, being serious. Yeah...let's go get your books," Leo responded, focusing on that.

"Yeah, it's not a pleasent thought, but I'm used to it." Chris shrugged his shoulders a bit "I'd think that considering Dad's care for human life you'd have all figured out he met humans before in all honesty." He jested.
"Leo, I'm fine dude, been hurt a few times, but I'm alright." Chris rolled his eyes a bit "Dad is too protective for me not to be ok."
"Yeah, probably a good idea." Chris nodded "And the library is where again?" He asked, having forgotten.

Leo smiled a little and nodded a little. He smiled and began to walk with Chris. He was surprised that he was so relaxed. He felt a little worried at first, though he let it go. He wondered about it for a moment and he nodded. “True,” he answered.
He shifted and walked after Chris. He looked over at him as if to shake his head before Leo just sighed. “This way dude,” he answered and he pointed before heading toward the library.
“This will be good. I’ll put ‘em on my student account. It’s not like I’m late on the fees,” Leo offered.
He smiled and continued to walk to the library. He knew that the librarian was against anyone who wasn’t a student getting books. He just didn’t understand that and he sighed, “You can’t get books otherwise.”

"Thanks Leo, I owe you." Chris nodded a bit, smiling "I think I'm finally convincing Dad to let me go to public school next year again. So I have to finnish this list." He commented "Though I still don't understand why there even is a summer reading list."
It wasn't like Chris minded he loved to read actually. He just wished there were more modern novels on the list like 'Harry Potter' or something. He began walking to the library, and opened the door as they reached it. Walking inside. He was lucky he looked old enough to be a student he figured, or he'd be in trouble.

"Nah, you don't owe me anythin' man," Leo responded with a wave of his hand.
Leo listened more then talked about the second part however. He thought Chris was nuts, taking that chance, but he also felt that Sam should be locked away somewhere too. He didn't want to lose his best friend and he shifted slightly as he walked, though waved cheerfully at the librarian at the desk, who only scowled at him return. "One time the library gets destroyed and I just happen to run in first and she gets all angry at me," he muttered with a shake of his head before moving with Chris.
"Reading lists are fun though. Gives ya somethin' to do. All right, what do ya need?" he answered, bringing up the computer so he could search titles or authors.
Authors. Always easier to search by author.
