Justin still couldn't quite comprehend what had happened over the past day. Had he expected any of it to happen? Of course not. None of it had been expected, here he was, a homeless kid, now living in a huge millitary base. On top of this, a giant robot ahd offered to take him in and was now planning on adopting him. It was like a new start for him, a new beggining. And it had all happened over the course of a day.
That morning, he had expected to find out it had all been a dream. But luckily for him, he had woken back up to find himself still in Mudflap's room. The mech really did have a kind spark, taking in a kid he didn't even really know, let alone one from the streets, few people had the guts to do that, to trust someone enough like that. To trust them enough to take them into their 'spark' like they had.
"Never thought I'd get here..." Justin muttered a bit "Never in a million years.." He murmured.

Mudflap had snuck in a while ago while ago when Justin was still asleep. And now he was asleep, parked in his suv form on the floor by the opposite end if the berth. The mech had found Justin trying to snatch food from the kitchen while he was getting some High Grade-and the youngster had surprised him because he'd just shown up out of the blue. Immediately getting the basic idea of Justin's background from his appearance, and the fact that he was a familiar face, the kid was living on the streets and he'd somehow found it into the base with out setting off security alarms. Mudflap did not like seeing young kids stay stuck on the street-he didn't like a lot of things and this was one of them. It was one fact about life he never liked.
Mudflaps head lights flickered on for a little bit, their bright bulbs reflecting on the walls of the fairly metallic bot-sized room. "Blarg 'n stuff..."he snorted, muttering the words quietly as he began to wake up, sinking on his axles a bit more. Slowly he began to wake up and rolled out, nearly scraping against the side wall by the entrance. "Oh uh...morning homie."he chirped, though still sounding a bit tired."I got the paper work finished a while ago...snuck in to catch a few more z's."

Justin was slightly caught off guard, looking up from his bowl of cereal. He was surprised he hadn't even seen Mudflap in the room, otherwise he most likely would have said hi. At the mention of finnishing the paperwork, he smiled quite happily. That had meant he was officially in Mudflap's custody. Of course, the actual adoption would take a bit longer, but he could wait, he had no problem with it.
"Good morning Dad." The word 'Dad' almost sounded foreign on his tongue. However, Mudflap had been kind enough to give him permission to call him that. He had missed calling someone that, so he had no real issue saying it. "That's great to hear that you got the paperwork done..." He admittedly was relieved that Mudflap was quite serious about adopting him. "That's more relieving to hear then you probably realize."
(I was guessing you meant legal custody papers, if not, just tell me and I'll fix my post.)

[ah yeah. my bad. im a bit behind with how that stuff works so i forget-even after having interceptor adopt adam]
"Probably, my other homie has hung around since he was your size."he replied. "The kid's busy with sports these days. I swear it consumes him. It makes me wonder if he's keeping up wit everythin else."he transformed and shrugged, sitting on the ground. He looked even smaller sitting on the ground like this-Mudflap and Skids were among the smallest of bots, and therefore often looked less intimidating to some. "I aint got a clue who is in charge of all da paper work but there's STILL more to do tomorrow. But after dat ya have a real family. So as long as you dont start hatin us it'll be worth da wait. I think you'll like a lot of the kids at dis base. We got people from all sortsa backgrounds here."he said with a 'toothy' grin.

(Normally it involves paperwork and a court making it official. But I'm pretty sure you don't always have to appear in court, just have to send the paperwork to one and have it approved. So yeah, it pretty much works that way to my knowledge.)
Justin smiled climbing off where he was sitting and looking up at the mech. Even if he was one of the smallest mechs, being only seven years old, Justin still saw him as being gigantic. Not that the little boy really minded, he actually thought in a way that it was pretty cool. Then again, what little kid wouldn't think giant robots were cool. "That's awesome!" He replied, in regards to the fact it was being made official so quickly "I hope I can be a good kid to ye though... I mean I've been on my own a while." He then added "It might take a tiny bit of time to get used to." He pushed his thumb and one finger together gently for emphasis. Though he was positive the mech would understand that.
When Mudflap brought up his other son, he had to wonder, what would having an older brother be like? He had always been an only child, he hadn't had an Uncle or even a cousin either. His Grandparents had died, both sets. To put it simply, Justin didn't come from anything close to a big family. Now he had at least four family members, and the entire base. "I'm looking forward to meeting him." He noted "I've never had a big brother before, it should be fun." Justin said, plain and simple.
When he brought up the fact it would be worth the wait and said 'as long as you don't start hating us' he sat down. If there was one thing he couldn't hate, it was someone who had so quickly grown attached to him. Let alone someone who had chosen to adopt him so quickly after only a day, and already putting a lot of hard work into making sure he'd have a real home and life. No one asside from his real Father had ever shown that kind of caring or understanding, or possibly, if Mudflap already felt that way, love towards him. They had all either kicked him out after spending a night wherever they lived for shelter, or kept him for maybe 3 days and kicked him out when something happened to go missing. Both times, Justin hadn't stolen anything for that matter.
"So you mean I won't be alone... I mean, in having a not-so-great background?" Justin asked, curiously and hoping he had understood correctly, feeling that was a lot more relieving a thought.

"Fo sho. The humans and Cons alike out here aren't all da same after all. One or two humans even used to live with the Cons. We have some ex cons, some bots with interesting pasts and all dat jazz. I'm sure ya will find some you can connect with."Mudflap hoped the kid would have an easy time adjusting, but with just having met him out of the blue barely a day or two ago, Mudflap had no idea and was taking a risk he hadn't taken ever before. However, Mudflap thought what he was doing was right, and he didn't want to see another kid go back on the streets. Mud couldn't help all of them, but at least he had a chance to help one. "So time will tell everything!"
(sorry this ones kinda short and not so great >.<)

"I'm sure I will, I'm pretty easy to get along with. As long as people take the time to try and get to know me." Justin bit his lip, a lot of people judged by his appearence, or his past. But he hoped like Mudflap that wouldn't be the case here. He sighed a bit and looked up at the large mech. It was going to take a lot of getting used to, but it seemed to him that Mudflap really did care about him, and as such he didn't feel any type of fear. "So, what's there to do around here anyway?" He asked curiously, he hadn't seen much of the base yet, and was a bit curious about it.

"Well as ya've seen we gotta nice lounge that has gaming systems and a TV in it, we got shooting ranges on base, a rec center with some courts, a gym, a pool, etc. Off base of course, pretty much anything goes. The strips of woods around base are good for paint ballin'."he replied with a light shrug. "I've checked out a lot of the cool niches in a couple of the cities around here, and driven far and wide to other states in the south, along with checkin out the west from time to time. I know a lotta good places-some classy, some not so much." Mudflap had nearly gone broke once spending a large portion of money on gambling with his holoform in LA, checking out a few clubs, etc. Now having LOTS more free time, the bot loved to get lost and just roam the streets of wherever he was at...

"Wow, seriously big base isn't it?" Justin's mouth gaped a bit, not having expected all that stuff around, but not too surprised. It was clear to him that he wasn't the only kid of an Autobot and nor was Connor, meaning likely it was there for them, and Millitary men of course. "Well do you want to hang out or something? We can play video games, watch TV, or go out... I don't really mind." Justin asked the question hestitently, as he wasn't sure if he had a schedule. Mudflap said he didn't have much to do lately, but it was better to be safe then sorry. "I mean, if you're not doing anything of course." He added.

The toothy grin relaxed as he spoke. "I got nuthin else on mah agenda except to check the paper work and make sure Connor is all right. Hey ya wanna try shooting a pistol or somethin at the shooting range? There's always that or just goofin around town gettin lost. I do it for fun! I always see new stuff."he shrugged a bit. "Connor loves going out for dirt biking in the warm seasons, swimming, stuff like dat. It bein winter we could probably find somewhere in the hills to rent snowmachines or somethin. I gotta feeling you'd like ta do similar. I noticed lotsa boys like the sporty stuff. It's your pick really. Wanna go out somewhere ta eat too? I'm sure ya need to ta tune up yer diet after livin off who knows what..."

Justin listened to all of Mudflap's suggestions calmly, quite honestly, to him they all sounded great. He hadn't really been taught sports, but he had always wanted to learn really. He thought for a moment, going over all the options in his head. There had been one sport in particular he had always wanted to learn, but he wasn't positive Mudflap knew how to play. "Well I don't know how to play a lot of sports but I've always wanted to learn to play basketball. If you know how to I mean." At the comment about food. He couldn't agree more. Most of the time if he couldn't eat anything else he did have to rummage through any good trash.. The non-disgusting kind if he could. "Y-Yeah, food sounds good to me as well. I haven't had a real meal in a long time if we're gonna be honest." He admitted.

"Yea I know what ya mean. So how bout a nice meal den we go back here ta hit da courts fo some hoops?"Almost anything could entertain Mudflap, so he wouldn't mind going out on a drive, trying a bit of human food with his holo-form and play some basketball. He stretched, then opened the door and transformed, opening his passenger door. "I gotta get the next set of paper work done soon but it'll be a while. So we can kill some time in the city. Ready when you are!"
(sorry it's short, shifty muse right now...)

"OOooh something to eat sounds great right now Dad." Justin smiled, figuring it would be a good idea. He would probably need energy to go and try and play basketball after all. But at least Mudflap was fine with doing both. After all, he wasn't so sure about asking and it did help that he was ok with it. "Ok, we'll hang out until you do then." Justin quickly got inside of Mudflap calmly, strapping in and waiting for them to start off.

"All righty. So what kinda stuff ya wanna eat? Obviously it dun matter much ta me."Mudflap asked as he rolled forward at a steady pace out of the bunkers, into the halls and went down one of the main halls into the hangar. Once in the hangar, he avoided any necessary equipment and ladders in it and took the most direct route out, and entered a chilly atmosphere. It didn't affect him too much, as it was just a typical winter morning. Often times he was glad the bots were treated so well and had a base to go home too, else they would wake up freezing with creaky, frost bitten joints during the harsher months of winter. NOT fun. Needless to say he couldn't wait for winter to be over with. He used to not care about it, but he wasn't as wild as he used to be...

Justin thought for a moment, he hadn't had a real meal in a while, but he could remember what he used to like. Hot dogs, pizza, italian food, hamburgers. There was a whole lot he liked, but he couldn't remember anything else sadly. He sighed, and looked on, thinking a moment before speaking. "Umm... Hot Dogs sound good right now if there's any place to get one." Justin suggested, clearly being flexible. If there wasn't he would be fine with being flexible, even trying something new. Justin was never picky, as he was on the streets, he had learned to be this because you never knew when your next meal was coming.
