Stranded in the Middle of Nowhere [Jazz/Prime]

Jazz had to crack a joke right now just to cheer Chris up from this hard time. "What's hard to take in is the angry Autobot dad storming at you and shouting angrily for messin' with his lil' man. That's hard to take in. Only Chris didn't run off when I told him." He left out who did that and Optimus would most likely be very confused since he didn't know the story behind the joke. He chuckled a bit, his arms dropping back down to his sides as he watched the two.

"But you didn't do that with me." Chris turned to Jazz, then smiled a bit at Optimus "You guys are fine, it's just... Hard to believe sometimes." He sighed a bit, and thought for a few moments "Dad, I did something really stupid... I went out with those college boys you told me to stay away from." He said calmly "And that's how I got stranded... It was stupid, and if you want to ground me, I'll understand." He shook his head, unsure of how Optimus would react. He knew he deserved it, he ahd almost had sex for the first time with a college girl. And Optimus, if he had known, would have killed him. Which is exactly why he kept quiet as to that minor detail.

[Optimus Prime]

Optimus listened to Jazz, clearly not understanding what he was talking about. Some would just dismiss it as a joke, but Prime knew Jazz better than that. There had to be reason to his madness. It was clear Chris knew what Jazz was talking about. But he didn't. "Jazz, wha..." But Prime allowed the words to trail off as Chris started speaking. He got his answer soon enough.

Listening to Chris, Optimus shook his head lightly, but he would go easy on Chris. After all, the child had found out his father was actually Jazz and not Prime. That had to come as a shock.

"Chris, you're just a teenager. A child. Everyone makes mistakes, even me. But it's how we learn. Sometimes it's better to see for yourself by disobeying an order and take the consequences. You were already out there alone, and that's consequence enough."

Jazz would have tweaked that reply a bit more, he didn't exactly want Chris encouraged to disobey orders. But none the less left it alone. he had listened to Chris, just happy he told the truth. "You should get some sleep Chris, you have eh school tomorrow bud." There was no way, after how bad of a so called Dad that he had been, he was going to let Chris do bad in school because of him. Gah idiot, Jazz would have face palmed but decided not to. He kept him out til four, maybe he could drop by before he goes to school with some coffee or caffeinated sodas? He had no idea what day it was anyways, he was guessing today was already a week day, but he had just lost track since he had been out for a few days fighting 'Cons. He was sure f course though, it hadn't stopped him from spending time with Chris.

Chris looked at his watch and his eyes widened, he was right, he did have school tomorrow. He yawned lightly, he guessed Optimus may let him skip for once, but decided to go to bed anyway. He smiled a bit, and nodded at both. "Yeah, I should... Goodnight guys." He murmured, making his way away from the hangar, he headed towards his bedroom quietly.

Optimus stood back up, and watched as Chris walked from the room. As soon as the kid was out of the room, he turned back to Jazz. "I'm not going to make him go to school tomorrow. Sleep deprivation isn't a good thing." It was just common sense. Better off to allow the kid to miss a day than fall asleep during school.

"It's good to have you back, Jazz."

Jazz felt bad about keepin Chris out so late, but happy eh wouldn't have to go to school tomorrow. It would have been real hell for him to try and stay awake. Then as Optimus Prime addressed him, he turned. "It's good to be back Optimus."
