Chris was awakened with a start by Jazz shifting him and starting to drive. Before he knew anything else he realized he was within Jazz's alt mode and they were on the road. Yet again he appeared to be on the same seat as before, clearly, Jazz had expected him to sleep for a while. "Movie already over?" He asked, even though it was pretty much a stupid question.

Alot was on his mind right now, he couldn't help but relive the memory of being ripped in two, making him shudder slightly. That hadn't been fun at all, but he went down fighting with all he had. Fighting with all he had wasn't even close to be calling enough though which if he were in form, have been made to frown. He hadn't done much at all really. He still felt bad for letting those humans get away with Bee, but the Autobot had been well again later.
If Jazz were in his true Autobot form he would have jumped from being startled. "Didn't mean teh wake yuh, and yeah it is." He took a smooth left and kept going. "Anywhere else you wanna go or should I take you home sleepy head?" Jazz chuckled.

Chris rubbed one eye tiredly, he didn't sit up because his body was refusing to sit up. That pretty much answered his own question for him. "I think we should get home, I had a long night... And I'm really tired." He commented yawning lightly "Plus I don't want Dad to get worried or anything." He added.

"Home it is." Jazz replied.
It was about half an hour until they finally arrived at the base. Jazz pulled up expecting Chris to have fallen asleep again. As he did so, he had begun to transform again, being careful not to crush Chris, his fulled formed arm had reaches his hand to the seat and pulled Chris out gently before finishing the transformation into his original form. The silver Autobot held him carefully, walking around the side to where the Autobots usually pulled up. A large door lifted open, though usually they pulled up as cars, Jazz was unfortunately short enough to just walk through without smacking his head on it.
As he snuck in, he was hoping to get Chris to bed quickly before they both got in trouble. One, for Chris being WAAAY out passed his timing to be back, and two, being the cause of why Chris was out so late. It was at least three or four AM by now, and Jazz seemed tired himself. "Psst, Chris if you're not already awake wake up, time for you to hit they hay lil man." Jazz whispered to Chris before setting him down carefully.

Optimus would have gone out and got Chris by himself, but Jazz had offered to do it, and he was closer. So Optimus just sat back at the base, waiting impatiently for the pair to return. He knew that Jazz was the true father to Chris, and had planned on giving the son back when Jazz was stronger. But that was a long time ago. He did so much for Chris, taught him so much. And then the day came when Jazz was ready. But Optimus was not. The leader kept it a secret from Chris who his real father was, a bond forming the two. He knew that Jazz deserved to keep Chris, but how was he to give the only one he really could call a son up?
Well, this was running through his mind, and Jazz pulled in. The leader drove up to the pair, grateful the two were alright.

Chris blinked briefly, yawning lightly, he stood up, rubbing his eye again. He sat up in Jazz's hand but stood up on it, climbing down carefully when his Dad showed up. He sighed, looking at Optimus briefly before, turning to Jazz. "I'm going to bed." He grumbled. He began walking past Optimus. He really didn't feel in the mood to talk to the leader at the moment, he wasn't necessarily mad, just confused.

"Good night kiddo, call me up any time you want and I'll be there, promise." Jazz replied waving to Chris good night before turning back to Optimus Prime in his Autobot form. "I uh... I hope you don't sound to mad but, he knows." At the moment, Jazz wasn't sure whether or not Prime would sit there silently then pull out guns and fire, give Jazz the silent treatment, or growl at him. Or would he ask what he meant and completely know the answer? Perhaps he'd agree saying it was okay, that last one was highly doubtful. Jazz however, showed no fear, since when had he ever? If he didn't show fear before he died against Megatron, he wasn't going to this time with Optimus Prime.

As Chris told Jazz he was going to bed, Optimus thought nothing of it. "Ok Chris. Good night." The leader knew Chris hadn't talked to him, but still he gave his wishes. Prime didn't think anything of it, but maybe he should have. Chris knew who his true father was.
When Jazz told him that Chris knew, Optimus didn't understand at first. But realization hit shortly, and Optimus didn't say anything for several seconds. Chris knew. It hit Optimus so quickly, his gaze stared out into the distance. He had a wave of emotions running through him. But he approached Jazz, and put his hand on the bot's shoulder. "I was wrong to keep it from him."

Chris in truth didn't leave at all. He was hidden behind a few of the Autobots, careful not to wake any of them. He really didn't pay attention to who he hid behind. He just hid so neither of his Father's could hear or see him. He kept one ear out, and turned his head to the point where he could somewhat see what was going on. Optimus sounded hurt, and Chris didn't feel all that great now. He should have at least acknowledged Optimus he figured, what he had done was wrong. Way to go Chris... He thought sarcastically to himself.

Jazz also noticed the hurt and nearly gave away a sigh, his own trying to keep a straight face rather than frown, but seemed to be faking miserably at the useless attempt. "I'm sorry Optimus, he grew suspicious and I.. I hated lying to him, I always have to lie to him to cover things up. Then I took him to a movie to get his mind off it and brought him back here. It doesn't make any difference though, things will be staying the same of course." His straight face seemed to have returned, though at the moment he wasn't sure what to do with his arms. Crossing them would be more comfortable but he'd rather leave them at his sides which was starting to bother him. He was about to mention the college kids no longer going to be messing with Chris again, but held it knowing Chris would get in alot of trouble. It was that much he could do for showing up so late.

Optimus nodded. Their secret was out. Chris knew Optimus wasn't his father. Jazz was. The leader then started talking again, unaware of prime's presence. He was too occupied to know Chris was there. "He had a right to know. You did the right thing. I'll never know how hard it is to watch someone else raise your only child. I just know the other side of the situation, and it's hard to keep a secret like that."

Chris almost spoke up, but shut his mouth. Figuring it wasn't his place to talk when his Father's were discussing things. This changed nothing about his life. He'd still call Optimus 'Dad' and Jazz by his designation. He'd still invite Optimus to the school functions for parents, though he may ask Jazz as well now too. Though that may take some explaining as to why he has two Dad's in a way that didn't sound well... Wrong.
He sighed, standing up he decided, if he wasn't caught by either of them that he'd apologize to Optimus in the morning. He didn't want the mech who raised him to think he didn't still love him as his Father. I'd hate myself if he thought that.... He thought to himself quietly and began to try and sneak away.

Jazz nodded, happy for Optimus and his good natured understanding. "It is hard... But I wouldn't change it even if I could, I'm not the best for parenting when it comes to responsibility and such. I'm just happy to know he's grown into a great kid, that's all I ever wanted." He remembered how thankful he was when Optimus Prime took Chris off his hands to raise him better, and he was still thankful. He didn't always make the right choices, choices that could get Chris severely harmed or even worse... Killed. Plus Optimus was the better choice in protecting him and teaching him correctly.
Jazz this time, really had crossed his arms as he picked up vibrations from the hard flooring. "Chris shouldn't you be in bed?"

"I guess I'm caught." Chris sighed, walking over to them quietly, he nodded at his Dad slightly, this time acknowledging him and hugged his leg gently. "I'm sorry about that Dad, the way I acted, wasn't right." He commented, letting go after a fe wseconds "Guys, I hope you realize I don't love either of you any more or less... This is just a lot to take in." He looked at both of his Father's calmly "You got to give me time to get used to the idea of it all."

What Jazz said made sense. Sure he was the next in line to be leader when Optimus wasn't fit for the job- whether that meant he was dead, retired, or missing- but not everyone was right to parent. Optimus hadn't thought he'd be able to raise Chris, but here was a strong, healthy, bright kid. Sure the Decepticons took pride in capturing him, but that was just about with any Autobot child.
"That's all anyone wants is a good kid." When Jazz turned arount, Optimus turned around and looked at Chris. As the small Autobot asked him, and Chris came over to them, Optimus couldn't help but smile at Chris's words. The leader bent down beside Chris, getting as close to the child as he could. Sometimes things couldn't be so easy, especially when you're a giant robot, especially one as tall as Optimus.
"I know it's a lot to take in and I'm guessing Jazz and I aren't making it any easier."
