Annie shifted, as if trying to avoid being in the rush of things, which she was basically.
She hated the fact that school was always crowded and her fingers tightened around her blind-man’s cane before she shifted, pulling it so it rested just on the outside of the toe of her shoes.
She looked polished, clean-cut, and like she was going out later, to a nice dinner maybe, before she shifted back, resting her head against the wall next to her, and her eyes closed, though that did not alter her perspective of the world, so sure of the fact that it would never change.
Her hearing picked up what her touch could not…she could live in this world of darkness meant for light.
She almost smiled over the irony of her name. She shifted back a little and she slowly brushed her hair out of her face. She calmed down a little as she felt her cane twitch, but ignored it before relaxing into her corner.
The perfect place for her.
