''Tell me about it
Hey there, my name is xlaulax, but you can call me La-la, Laulie, Laula, Miss X...anything that you wish so long as it isn't vulgar. I've been on this planet somewhere between teenage years and adulthood (do I really have to put that?) years, but have been RPing for 4 or 5 years. Along with this character, I tend to make the lives of so far, I am going to recreate Annie Light, Nightracer, Maltese, Leo Spitz, and remain TempBee a living hell. Just so you know I found this site by Googling.
''Damn I'm good

Character's Full Name: Annie May Light
Biological Name: Winifred Annie Jones
Nicknames: Ann, May
Age: 14
PB: Holly Bodimeade
Species: Human
Side in the war: good
''There is more to them then meets the eye
Personality: Annie is a thoughtful person who spends a lot of time listening instead of talking. She likes to joke about the fact she is blind and tries to keep people at ease. She picks up easily on people and their moods, mostly due to her heightened senses after being born blind, adjusting to a world for the sighted when she can not see.
She lives as much as she can and no longer fears, except when she is faced without an ability to cope. When she loses her cane or her way, she begins to panic and can actually freak out a little, which usually results in her injurying herself.
After these "episodes", she is often shakey and it takes awhile for her to settle back into her normal routine.

Your Greatest Strength: Annie’s greatest strength is her heightened senses, mostly hearing and touch. Her hearing allows her to track people easier and find where they are, having focused into understanding people by sound and touch. She pieces together between those two the most and is able to get a good grasp of who a person really is, even without the aid of sight. She can hear a difference in voices and can feel the slightest change of motion, if it is close enough. Otherwise, she has trouble.
Your Greatest Weakness: Annie’s greatest weakness is that she can get easily distracted if she catches an interesting sound or smell. It is usually what causes her to lose her concentration and gets her lost. Sometimes, when she catches these sounds or smells, she immediately turns towards what she thinks it comes from and perks forward, ignoring everything else around her. It is also usually what gets her in trouble, as it causes her to ignore the teacher in class.

Family:
Alexandria Rose Jones, Annie’s biological mother. Now 28, she has spent Annie’s entire life as far from the girl as she could possibly get and Annie knows nothing about her. They did meet once, however.
Annie’s biological father is unknown.
Lisa Ray Light is her adopted mother and the person she considers her mom. She is 40 and wanted Annie more then anything.
Henry Alex Light is her adopted father and the person she considers her dad. He is 45 and had to be convinced to adopt Annie after learning she was blind. He’s never regretted the decision.
History:
Annie was born to a teenage mother who didn’t know what to do. She put her daughter through the ‘no questions asked’ program and made sure that she was named. Annie has no idea about her real name, as she was often having it just shortened to Ann, or even Annie, since the people at the orphanage didn’t think the name ‘Winifred’ fit as ‘Annie’ did.
It helped that she had been at a smaller, nicer, orphanage then most, and when the Lights came, they immediately were taken with Annie.
She thought that they were nervous (which they were) as they had been trying, for years (and unsuccessfully) to have a child and they felt that Annie was perfect. They adopted the small five year old girl and had her name officially changed to Annie May (May for the month they adopted her) Light.
She never knew of her real mother and they never really told her. They did tell her about being adopted, but as they never met Annie’s real mother, they didn’t really have anything to tell about her, beyond the fact that she had been ‘too young’ or so they thought.
When Annie was seven, she got lost about two feet from Mom (Lisa) and began to cry, panicking slightly. It took well over an hour to calm the girl down and Lisa learned that she was freaking out because some kids at school had forced Annie to get lost while on her way to class, often having her freak out actually just outside the class.
Which explained a lot of the calls.
After that, they began to focus on aiding Annie to adjusting, though she’s now so ‘adjusted’ that her parents often forget she is blind. It helps that Annie is so flippant and easy going about it. She rarely gets angry over people not realizing that she is blind (she works hard to not have people notice it) and loves to work with people.
It’s just an issue at times.
Last year, she sort-of met a young woman by the name of Alexandria Jones, who was a recently graduated cosmetology student. They passed on good terms and Alexandria promised a free make-over should she get a job in Tranquility.
Anything Else?: When she touches things, she can tell the difference between ‘living warmth’ and ‘sun warmth’.

RP Sample:
Annie twitched lightly as a rouge breeze, made by a madly dashing child, ran across her exposed arms and she let out a soft sigh.
She was listening to her iPod, if that helped any, which it didn’t. The soft streams of classical poured at a good level so that she didn’t blow out her eardrums, but she wasn’t really able to hear the outside world, something that wasn’t the smartest thing when she couldn’t see but that was a conversation for another day.
Annie let out another sigh and began to shift through her songs, before coming across Green Day.
With a grin, ‘American Idiot’ began to play over her earphones and her foot began to tap to the beat, before singing along softly and, ironically, on-key.
“I don’t wanna be an American Idiot…”
