A giant mechanical scorpion was resting in the sand. Scorponok was still recuperating from a terrible injury he had received much earlier. An injury like that didn‘t heal too soon, even if he was equipped with self-regenerating molecular armor. As such, he had sent out a signal, hoping to get attention from a Decepticon, or even better, Blackout. His mental capacity was increasing, it hadn’t hit a wall yet but probably would in the future, but he wasn’t yet smart enough to have thought to encode the message to just Decepticons. Because of his usefulness in the past, Megatron had granted him more autonomy than other ‘cons would have gotten. That was why he hoped that someone would bother to come out and pick him up.
His instincts were primarily saying that he should be buried in the sand where no one would see him. The small mind he had already developed said that if he wasn’t on top in obvious view, he would never be found. The tiny intellect won. Barely. If an enemy found him, he would probably be killed unless he could burrow under the sand and escape.

The black and red jet overhead caught the signal, luckily for Scorponok...in a way. The jet overhead was a Decepticon, but not one who enjoyed taking care of anyone or saving those who were weak. However, he had weighed his options very carefully and with amazing agility that he really only got in his alt form, he turned around to go collect the annoying scorpion.
Transforming in mid-air, he landed, Atrocious still within his spot at Maltese's chest. "What did you do to yourself now?" he asked the robotic scorpion in a deep voice that sounded more annoyed then helpful.
He would help, however. He needed to have Megatron thinking that he followed him. He could almost roll his optics at that one. With that, he relaxed slightly and the robotic lion suddenly transformed out, landing next to the scorpion. With a shift, he rolled his optics. "Do I need to transform and allow you inside my alt-mode?" he growled out, sounding slightly annoyed at this prospect.
But, when didn't he sound annoyed?

Scorponok looked up slightly at the sound of a jet. He didn’t know this large transformer, but he could probably bet that he wouldn’t get away. If he was even able to think of escape when the jet transformed and landed, he probably would’ve dismissed the idea. But, he couldn’t really think of it anyway. His mentality just barely knew how to use the voice box for something other than hisses and other primitive sounds. Injured… Time… Back. A lion transformed from the cockpit of the jet. Like the way he could transform into one of the two engines in Blackout’s heli form. He wasn’t necessary for the transformation, as Blackout could simply grow the engine back (using self regenerative molecular armor), even though it was unnecessary, as that didn’t really power Blackout.
He couldn’t really entirely understand what the lion was saying, but he got the gist of it. He nodded his head, and almost began to transform into the engine that was a bit smaller than his Normal scorpion form. He wouldn’t be much smaller, but the jet could probably find some way to fit him in. Who are you? He didn’t need to practice those words too much, they were small and easy to find in his mind. He would transform when he got the go ahead. You… Like me. That was an observation directed at the lion, Atrocious, and was actually supposed to be: “You are like me.” Mainly because the cat transformed from the cockpit, ejecting from the bigger robot’s chest.

Maltese had only let Atrocious out due to the fact...he was speaking to another fragging animal-like contraption! He sighed and let Atrocious do a lot of the talking, though at the comment from Scorponok, Atrocious nodded. "Yes. Like you," the lion stated.
He looked over at Maltese and the larger decepticon sighed. He knew what the lion was suggesting and as Scorponok transformed into a smaller engine, the Seeker, although larger, nodded slightly.
"Easier. All right Atrocious, you know how to help. We've lugged enough of these guys around enough times to get the gist of it," he stated and transformed.
With some great difficulty, he managed to get his doors open for the engine, mainly because he rarely used them, sliding over so a ramp, one rarely used if at all, slid partially under engine Scorponok. "Feel stupid against you, but it work," the lion warned, stupid supposed to be strange, before moving behind the engine, then pushing up into what was the storage area of this alt-mode.
He looked normal, except he was missing his own engine, if anyone bothered to look. Atrocious was his other part and while he would not admit it in a thousand years or more, he cared deeply for the robotic lion who was now relaxing next to the engine. "Room," the lion stated while Maltese groaned quietly.
With a quiet rev, he began to figure how to basically take off without killing his passangers.

The lion responded in agreement to his observation. When the jet had finished transforming, Scorponok felt the lion, who the jet had identified as Atrocious, trying to push him up the ramp into the doors that the bird had opened. Two legs came out the side of the engine as parts, helping to move the motor up the ramp. Names? Scorponok’s programming had prevented him from learning more than a few things over time, and put his instincts in charge, putting him at a disadvantage. But, that had recently changed, even though his instincts were still strong and he wasn’t very bright.
After he was inside the jet well, Atrocious just sat beside him, lounging. Room? That was a strange thing to say. Oh well. His processor was just trying not to overpower itself .

Atrocious settled down and turned to explain something to the scorpion, or as best as he could through his own limited speech patterns. He could at least answer the question. "Designation, Atrocious. Jet, Maltese," he answered, his tail swishing quietly.
The lion growled quietly as the jet suddenly took into the air, aiming for the Decepticon base as fast as he could go. He didn't want to be labled as weak or sentimental, but it could go that way if he allowed the lion to talk. He shifted mentally and waited for Atrocious to explain what he meant by 'room', because Maltese knew and hated the fact he suggested it.
After awhile with Atrocious trying to find out what to say, with his limited vocabulary, Maltese finally growled out, "He means that you have room to transform and remain in your scorpion form, you just wouldn't have fit through my doors through that form."

As Maltese took off, Scorponok slid a few inchs toward the back. After that, and the explanation he got of "Room" he transformed. Okay He didn't know where they were going, and he couldn't figure it out. He probably could if he thought a bit more, but nothing came to his mind yet.
Where to? Scorponok didn't know most of what happened during the timeframe after the Egypt incident. He didn't know where most 'cons were, and he had been pretty well isolated for quite a while, not thinking to send or decode any radio signals at all.

Atrocious
The robotic lion stretched a little and focused on Scorponok for a few moments. He shifted and his tail swished before he answered the question. "We go with Maltese's safety," he stated with a shrug and shifted a little.
He slowly stood up and began to walk slightly. The movements made the jet shiver a little and Atrocious paused, focused on the jet for a moment before looking back to Scorponok. "Maltese...wind turbulance," he explained, as if confering, which is what he had been doing.
Maltese[/u]
He growled as he hit a bad piece of turbulance, causing his frame to shake slightly. "What that?"[/b] Atrocious growled though the comm between them and Matlese snapped back, earning Atrocious the right to tell Scorponok.
Maletese sighed softly and began to drop slowly, finding the correct flight area before speeding up. He began to use his jet's ability to speed through the air and the soft sound of engines could be heard, though not normal bloods.
