It was late in the night on the back streets of Tranquility and the occasional street racing was beginning soon. A forest gren Lamborghini Gallardo with black over the head lights and from the top to the back drove up reveing their engine causing a few heads to turn. Stopping next to a few othe cars a driver got out but this was no ordinary human for the image flickered now and again, no one noticed luckily. *So this is a street race on Earth. I'm so going to win.* Sidedrift thought.
The image flickered as she smirked and then the hologram got bakc in before Sidedrift came to the starting line. "Racers!Start your engines!"SOmeone called, on cue the racers started with Sidedrift's being the loudest before she sped off when it was time.Speeding on through the city she went in and out of the traffic ignroing tthe yells of angry pedestrians as she drve.
Whether or not the police came Sidedrift wasn't afraid of them for being so cocky she thought it would be easy to out run them. "It's not like any Autobots will notice any how." She mummbled and drove on.

Several miles away from the start of the race, which started out on the hillside, a black 150 supercrew extended cab was perched up between two small hills. KITT was partially tucked away, scanning the players in the race. He detected an Autobot and grumbled inwardly. The femme should know better than to get too close to human activities...but she seemed to be relatively careful about it...He knew some of the Autobots frowned upon illegal street racing.
Back in his days with FLAG, KITT only joined races when some aspect of their mission called for it. KITT had no directive right now, so it was completely KITT's digression as to whether or not he wanted to A) stop her, or B) look like he was going to stop her and join in, or C) avoid all together. KITT didn't like the sound of choice C, so he was torn between A and B up to the point the race started.
Keeping out of sensing range from the Autobot, the pitch black pick up careened down the hills, drifting around tighter bends or when his rear tires lost grip, despite being in four wheel drive. He descended but did not go out into the open so he wouldnt be immediately be spotted by the Autobot.
KITT moved as fast as he could onto a different off road in his truck form on rugged terrain, jostling about like crazy, dirt flying everywhere. He descended further to much flatter ground up to the point where he got onto the off road, still well away from the race, out of eye, signal and earshot range, intersecting them almost perpendicularly with ever increasing speed. Several seconds later, KITT 's engine roared as he accelerated, shifted to a higher gear and transformed into his mustang form, initiating turbo boost.
A shock wave of bluish energy erupted from the ion boosters near his aft tires as he ducked behind a series of knolls larger than him that periodically blotched out his spark signal. Soon enough, the racers would near the city. And the racers had a very special sports car on their tail...

Totally unaware of the following Mustange Sideidrft sped up behind racer taking the draft ebfore coming out to the side and speeding forward to take first place, to which hadn't been hard. Of course Sidedrift knew she would be in for a lot of trouble later, so why not enjoy the entire race now? Reveing her engines she sped up alittle faster then she was emant to for a real Lamborghini Galardo. But the speed didn't amtter to SIdedrift only winning the race as she sped into the city going dangerously through traffic whethe rit was coming from one direction or the opposite.
Aead was a marker of where to turn so she drifted around the corner catchign a glimpse of the racers and...a black Mustange? That was odd. Sidedirft didn't rememebr seeing the Msutange at the start but she didn't think about it before KITT was out fo ehr seeing range and she sped off downt the highway.

~Status, after going through some updates, KITT no longer has the heli form~
KITT coasted through the slightly windy and bumpy road while the ion boosters were activated at full power, mini contrails of blue energy rocketing behind him. After deactivating the boosters and drifting around a sharp bend, KITT drove at impressive speeds up a shorter knoll up a head.
He tracked the racers. Their track angled away from him for a while, thus putting him in their blindspot and out of view again as he rounded another knoll, activating turboboost again, his speed doubling as it had before.
As KITT moved, he debated. He was debating about his first two options still. Join or stop. Stop or join. Which seemed more worth the effort for him? Granted these racers were causing ruckuss, recklessly passing through the intersections avoiding traffic by a hair at every other second, the sounds of their engines and squealing tires disturbing the peace.
KITT liked to protect his humans, but he also liked to have fun. KITT had one of his original abilities, an ability he'd had back when he worked at Knight Industries (the new FLAG) : the ability to shape shift and change his paint job, decals, and license plate thanks to his advanced nanotechnology.
KITT turned onto another off road around the farther side of the sector the racers were on to their right, angling in perpendicularly even more now. KITT shifted gears again, and transformed into a white police car that matched the others in Tranquility, and began to blare his sirens as he then drifted around a wide, nearly empty bend. He scared some pedestrians, but this was common with Cops when they ripped down a high way or the suburbia.
From an intersection to their right, Sidedrift would suddenly hear the wailing sounds of a lone cop car screaming down at abnormal speeds for a sports car down the upcoming intersection to her right, ready to single handly scare the entire race to a garbled mess of surprise. The scanner on the cop car was partly tucked away from view because of the thick black bumper guards at the front, the double red scanner was hard to see, but it was definitely there.

Sidedrift was still ripping throught the city streets but the siren was no surprise to her. BUt before she knew it one of the racers rammed into her reare bumper, in a haste to get away before they were caught then she was rammed ocne more. "Hey!Watch the paint job!" She snapped angrily. BUt what use did that due? TH other racers had caught up in their haste and went racing past the two.Sidedrift moved tot he side alittle to avoidbeing hit.
THe racer had other plans. Already furious at losing first place the drive hit the side of Sidedirft's rear bumped making her spin out of control. It was jsut out of luck she didn't hit anyone but ended up crashing in a side street, but none of the pedestrins had come since thye ahd been scared off. Now on her Back Sidedrift groaned feeling a headache coming on and dizzier then she had ever been.
"Great now I'm going to get caught." She muttered.

KITT skidded to a stop, having not expected the Autobot to roll onto her side. He fish tailed and bumped into her gently. Slight damage may be done, but it was only enough force to push her back on all four wheels. The hologram, dressed in a police uniform inside the vehicle, with dark hair and red eyes glared at Sidedrift, yet looked amused at the same time.
KITT had totally scared the racers, who were scrambling about like ants and attempting to presume the race with out terrifying the pedestrians further. KITT's voice rang out over the loud speaker. At this point, only Sidedrift could tell he was an Autobot.
"All street racers, change your locations at once or your racing will be stopped all together. This is a fair warning to go back to the off roads before I catch all of you!" KITT threatened, glaring at Sidedrift again when he finished speaking.

"Are you kidding me?! How the hell did the Autobtos knwo I would be in this!" Sidedirfit said her dizziness compeltely forgotten. The other racers were already driving down the street to get out of the city before nayone else came, unknowing it was an Autobot. However, Sidedrift was blenty furious and her holoform came out instead of ehr transforming, "Boy real mature, cocky Autobot aren't you? Scaring the racers like that would have gotten someone killed!"
The femme knew it had been stupid to participate in such things but she ahd been careful to avoid the humans or the cars unlike the other racers. Still this gave no other Autobot the right to ruin it right! Right? Or maybe it had been reckless but who would ahve known unless....

"They could have been smart and not moved into town in the first place." KITT said, letting the lights atop his form continue to go off as he backed up. "Be right back. I'm watching you." KITT snapped. He burned rubber and accelerated forward, chasing after the cars that tried to sneak up ahead, going as fast as possible with out turbo boosting.
Luckily, he succeeded, his mustang engine roaring loudly down the streets like a tornado. The cars immediately started to slow down, and he nudged closer to them, forcing them down an intersection to the left that led away from the city. Holo-KITT smirked at seeing the irritated looks on their faces. He was practically herding the straggled group away slowly but surely. Those behind him were wary of the oil slick he placed around the various intersections up ahead as he drove by. They'd be out of commission if they skidded around the bend too quickly in attempt to get away.

"Like I'd listen to some old grandpa-bot."Sidedrift said to ehrself, ehr holo-form getting inside before Sidedrift drove from the side road and seeing the oil slick turned on a different route. Finally she got out of the city and sped on tot he finish line but saw the other drivers scattering in different places and finally saw why. More cops ahd shown up but Sidedrift qucikly hid behind a few hills waiting untit he sirens became distant nosies before she drove to an abandoned warehouse drivig inside and transformed.
