Sam was a bit surprised by Bee's gradual slow to a stop. He glanced in the left mirror and then behind him to check for vehicles and then got out of the driver's side. Promptly, he closed the door. "Are you okay, Bee? Maybe we should have changed the subject..." he said, frowning with concern as he walked around him to Bee's right.

Bumblebee did a quick scan, making sure there were no humans, techno-organics, or Decepticons were around. He tried not to think about the time his scanners had failed him, years ago on Cybertron, and he suddenly transformed, before holding a hand out to Sam.
Once Sam either accepted or asked to remain on the ground, Bumblebee settled before doing something he knew was very foolish. "Sam...best friend," he explained with a big smile before switiching back to quotes.
"I don't know, what do you wanna do?" came the vultures from the Jungle Book.
He loved that about his radio. He could get almost anything, though it sometimes made life very difficult, especially when people got confused over what he was actually saying. At least his bot form made it easier to help correct that...sometimes.

Sam smiled and climbed into Bee's large yellow and black hand. "You are too, Bee. Always will be." he said, patting the robot's wrist. He folded his leg's Indian style, looking up at him. "We can take a break for a bit here. It's quiet." he saw one vehicle clear the intersection from their right up ahead, but that was it. "Then we can get back on the road again if you want."

Bumblebee was careful as he raised Sam in his hands, or one of them. The other was acting like a safety net thing so if Sam were to stumble and fall, he wouldn't fall down and die. Bumblebee liked to forget Sam wasn't human anymore. He loved to forget that actually.
He shifted a little and gently ran one of his fingers on Sam's back. Well, he was rubbing Sam's back and he nodded in agreement. He wondered if he should brave going back to NEST and seeing Ratchet. The thought made Bumblebee's door wings shiver and he looked at Sam.
Sometimes, like this, he just was glad for the silence. He wondered if Sam would just want to keep going and he settled back slightly, keeping out of sight. He did not need to be caught on a camera somewhere.

Sam appreciated the gesture and leaned back a little, pretty comfortable. He smiled at Bumblebee and folded his arms. He couldn't help but examine the difference between their friendship and his relationship with Mikaela. They were so different yet so wonderful that he wanted to cry out for joy. Naturally he couldn't help but feeling a bit nervous from being so high, but over all it wasn't really a huge concern for him. He was too occupied looking at the black and yellow bot.
"At the park, I was thinking about you and Mikaela," Sam said with a smile. "I mean these past few months have been great since the Decepticons are a little quiet right now. The only thing on my mind recently is something Chris told me he's been dealing with...but other than that, just you two." he explained with a smile.

Bumblebee shifted a little as he listened to Sam and perked slightly, though managed to find a inquiry to respond to that. "That right now you were thinking about me, and out of the blue your phone rings? And it's me. Huh? How's that for a spiritual connection?" he quoted Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds.
He shifted and continued to rub Sam's back gently with one finger. He looked down at the small, compared to him, student, and Bumblebee felt the need to protect him from anything and everything rise up again.

Sam smiled. "A great connection indeed." he said, still leaning back slightly. Bee was a pretty good with massages. Sam closed his eyes for a few seconds with his arms still folded, feeling like he could meditate here. And then he realized, he hadn't told Bee about his new discovery.
"Oh Bee!" he spoke up suddenly, opening his eyes. "I forgot to tell you. I discovered a new ability!" he exclaimed. Should I demonstrate something? It's not like I'm that creative with it yet or anything... he thought, le leanred forward and rubbed his chin a bit in thought.
He took out his phone and held it, his hand flat. Let's just hope I get the net effect right this time. he thought. "The object is small I know, but I want to demonstrate. This starts in my hand..." He sighed and closed his eyes for a few long seconds, focusing on his core spirit, clearing his mind. He envisioned a soul picture, pitch black serenity. He focused on the tiny space between his hand and the phone, sifting the molecules in his mind's eyes, forcing them up, expanding the cushion of air. A faint rush of air flew in to fill the space as it built.
He felt the air and trapped the area around and underneath the phone with coils of invisible energy from his body, chakra, as it were called, and replicated the process. Opening his eyes, he was gazing intently at the phone and poured a vast portion of his energy into the final movement. Like a collapsing glacier, the energy accelerated and upon his command, fell towards the phone. Picking up the energy, he reversed the process and focused on the opposite effect now, making it levitate.
The phone picked up from his palm and shot up a few inches, and when Sam acknowledged the flow of energy was too fast, he slowed it slightly, taking back some to conserve for the sake of his conscience, and the phone rose at a more steady rate. He let it rise well above his head. Experimenting, he made the phone start spinning in a spherical pattern at Bumblebee's eye level between them.

Bumblebee shifted slighlty and looked at Sam. What did he mean knew ability? Bee watched him in concern, eyes watching, as he took in what Sam was doing and he shifted a little. He watched the boy and started slightly when he saw Sam pull out his phone, though he was still massaging Sam's back.
His finger came to a slow stop as Sam began to focus and he stared as the phone began to rise up. He watched and began to play the Twilight Zone music. He loved the music, but it fit the situation right now.
"You are entering another dimension..." he quoted quietly before falling silent.
He looked at Sam and then at the phone, which was right there and hard to miss, before focusing on Sam. If Sam thought Bumblebee was ever letting him out of his sight again, he could possibly be wrong....maybe.
So, he would get a little protective. That was okay. If Sam was safe, being over-protective was fine.

"You can say that again," Sam said with a wry but amused smile on his face. Keeping hold of his 'chakra' on the phone, he slowly began to lower it back in his hand. Disconnecting the flow, he sighed and closed his eyes, initiating the final cut off. The phone was still. Sam could almost feel his energy meld back into him.
He opened his eyes again and glanced up at Bumblebee with a slightly confused look on his face.
"I still don't understand how I changed this way, but...I guess I like it...though I'll have to fix the problem with these headaches. I need to limit myself for a while." The headache didn't come back as soon as they had the first time he discovered this ability, but unfortunately he had a feeling it might come again anyway.

Bumblebee looked down at Sam, concerned. He wondered what he should play to help Sam over his confusion, but his door wings jumped at the sound of the headaches. He didn't like the sound of that, especially since he couldn't stop headaches.
He let out a concerned, strained, garbled, chirp for Sam. He was worried for his charge now. He looked down at him with concerned optics and he rubbed Sam's back a little more, in circles. He shifted slightly and looked down at the college boy. He shifted a little more and ran his finger a little more along Sam's back.
"Lean on me, when you're not strong, and I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on..." his radio song.
((Lean on Me))

Sam enjoyed the massage. He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment, a content expression on his face. He gazed up at Bee after he spoke: "You're great Bee, you really are. If I said so as much as I feel it, I'd get tongue tied." he said. Carefully he got up and took a few seconds to climb up his arm to his right shoulder and gave Bee a best-friends-forever hug, arms around the back of Bee's large head and neck.

Bumblebee trilled happily at Sam's responce. He smiled as Sam hugged him, which caused him to raise his hand to gently hug the boy again. He smiled a little and tried to hug him a more. He shifted on the ground and smiled at the boy. "Best friends!" he quoted from who knew where.
He knew it was some kind of kid...Fox and the Hound! That was it. He smiled a little more and gently rubbed the boy's back a little more. His finger was careful and he kept close. He watched the boy, careful of how fragile Sam was, before gently picking him up. Letting out a strained whir, he looked a little resigned, as if saying it was time to go back home without actually saying it.
Because he didn't want to.

As far as Sam was concerned he didn't need to go anywhere. "Well Bumblebee, where to now? Want to drive again?" he asked, putting his hoody back on as he balanced himself on Bumblebee's shoulder.

Bee gently, slowly, settled Sam on the ground before transforming. He opened up the driver's door and waited for Sam to get in. He looked for the time, found it, and a garbled sigh came from the radio. He had picked it up from the humans, and it was the most he could convey with his actual vocal processor. He let out the sound byte, "Home James."
And then he began to drive slowly. Flipping around his stations, he soon found an Earth lullabye. It was....actually one Judy sang, off-key, when Sam had been really sick during Senior Year. Bumblebee hoped Sam didn't get too upset with him.
((ooc: hope that was okay))
