Sam was back home now, and had time to himself to wander Tranquility. Having lived here almost all his life, he never felt lost any more. His parents were more than happy to have him visit all his friends (humanoid and Autobot alike) in the summer now. His grades were looking good and his relationship with Mikaela was still going strong. Sam was particularly glad of the latter-he always missed her during the school year. Evenings of endless amounts of math and science homework were never fun, and it was even more demanding in college than it was in high school.
With all that had happened a few months ago, his mind still felt jumbled and cluttered. Regardless, he was glad for a break. Kicking back at a small park on a bench, he leaned back in his chair and stared up at the puffy alto-cumulus clouds. It being late in the evening, most kids were home for dinner so the park was fairly empty. Enjoying the peace, thoughts of his Autobot friends and Mikaela drifted through his mind as he watched the clouds.

The yellow Camero almost broke speeding limits trying to find Sam. He almost blazed through the streets and he began to drive. He couldn’t find Sam! He almost panicked when he finally found Sam. He stopped, turned up his speakers all the way, and blasted out the Beatles. “You say you’re worried, but you can’t be as worried as me…” he sung out, loudly.
He then revved his engine in annoyance. “My little runaway, Run, run, run, run, runaway,” he blasted out again, waiting for Sam to notice him.
He had worried him! Sam wasn’t allowed to worry Bee so badly. It was one of the unspoken rules! Okay, they had no unspoken rules, but still! Bee almost honked his horn, though decided he had done enough and waited for the boy to at least acknowledge ‘Satan’s Camero’.

Startled by the silence being being broken, Sam caught on to the change in tunes, heart skipping a beat, mostly in surprise. So he turned around, following the music that was close behind him. Sam promptly got out of the bench and walked over to Bumblebee cautiously, who wasn't that far away.
"Hey Bee!" Sam said, his tone both happy and solemn. He stood to Bee's front left, a brief smile appearing on his face. It was only so brief because he knew he should have at least told Bee he was going out a bit to be alone. Sam was glad to have such a sweet Autobot as a friend, but he also didn't want to see him stressed, let alone be the cause of it. He tucked his hands in his jean pockets, rocking back on his heels slightly, a bit nervous, knowing very well that Bee was scolding him.
"I was out for a walk since I have time off. Sorry to worry you like that, I should have told you..." Sam said nervously, gazing at him. He felt like there was more to be said, but he couldn't think of anything off the bat, so he fell silent to see how Bee would respond.

Bee let him stew for awhile, though he did, in fact, let out another quote over his radio. "I didn't know where you'd gone. I was worried about you," he quoted Howard from "Last of the Summer Wine" in 'The Mystical Squeak of Howard's Bike'.
He revved quietly, listening, before playing concerned music, and worried music. It was mostly musical symphony things he was picking up briefly, before turning over to a song. "One is the loneliest number," he sang out before opening his door.
"Two can be as bad as one, it's the loneliest number since the number one," he continued.
"Let's be independent, together!" he quoted from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Bumblebee hoped it said he forgave Sam and to get in now before he tried to lock his guardie in there for the rest of eternity or until Megatron stopped threatening Sam, whichever came first. And Bumblebee was sorely tempted, but he wouldn't do it...yet.

The familiar notion came back again; Bee always had a knack for picking the right lyrics. He knew Bee was just looking out for him, and he didn't seem to like the fact that he was sitting out here alone. Mikaela was at work and he had nothing better to do than wander around. He made the mistake of wandering around and not finding Bee first. Sam had to remember that these...semi quiet times weren't so quiet-it was easy to forget Megatron was still highly interested in him and his friend Chris Stratos. For some reason he couldn't help but feel a little sad, but he wasn't sure why...maybe it was the lyrics.
"I should found you first, huh? You can always find me if you want to visit. But a little space is needed from time to time though, don't you think?" he patted the hood of the Camaro gently before moving over to open the door.

Bumblebee played a 'no duh' sound from his radio and then managed to garble out a cheerfully, "It's okay."
He waited for awhile, listening and sagged a little on his wheels. He felt bad guilty now. He felt like he shouldn't have gone blazing around town, looking for Sam but...Megatrong wanted to hurt him. He couldn't let that happen!
He would rather have his spark ripped out his chest and implode then let Sam die or get hurt at all. He played a small piece from Berlin, the second chorus particularly, of "Sorry."
He shifted on his wheels and would have looked apologetically if he was in robot form. He shifted and played, "Call me, beep me if ya Wanna reach me When ya wanna page me it's okay I just can't wait until I hear My cell phone ring Doesn't matter if it's day or night Everything's gonna be alright Whenever you need me baby Call me, beep me if ya wanna reach me."

Sam couldn't help but chuckle at the latter lryics, recognizing the theme. Sam never found it in him to back down Bee's company. "Don't worry, Bee. I haven't forgotten. So do you want to go somewhere or just chill here?" Slow day today... he thought solemnly.

Bumblee thought it over before quoting the Jungle Book's vultures in, "I don't know, what do you want to do?"
He let out a garbled, cheerful, chirp and added, "We'll drive. Keep driving. Head out to the middle of nowhere, take that road as far as it takes us...I'll have to let you drive sometime."
He continued on cheerfully, though in song, "Hit the road Jack...Anything you want, you got it. Anything you need, you got it. Anything at all, you got it."
Bumblebee didn't know, but he offered almost anything. Anything, just to see Sam smile. What had him down? "If you need someone to talk it out Then talk it out with me If you need someone to talk it out Then I'm the one you need."
((quotes from; The Jungle Book, The 25th Hour, and Rain Man Lyrics; 'Hit the Road Jack' as sung by Ray Charles 'Anything You Want' in the style of Roy Orbison 'Talk it Out' in the style of Wang Chung))

"No, little is bothering me, actually." Sam assured him with a smile. "I think some of your words hit home a bit, is all." he patted the car appreciatively just above the left mirror. The song 'Getaway Car' by TobyMac randomly came to his mind. But Bumblebee was more than that, he was a great friend. He began humming the tune. "'Gotta get outta here fast and far', I need a getaway car'." he sang lightly. Sam wasn't that good at singing, but it was a catchy song and humming wasn't so hard, and he was in a pretty good mood. "Do you know that song, Bee? It's not too shabby."

Bumblebee listened to the tune and waited patiently for Sam. He listened again and suddenly picked up on the song Sam had been humming, then asked about. He turned it up, just for Sam, and bobbed a little on his wheels, though only a little. After that, he waited for Sam to ask something again. He shifted on his wheels and if he were in robot form, would have hugged Sam, gently.
Of course, right now he was a car and he replayed ‘Getaway Car’, as if suggesting something. He wouldn’t mind driving Sam anywhere, or letting Sam drive anywhere, if he really felt that way. He wondered if the song ‘Run Away’ would help any, though decided against it rather quickly.

He patted Bee appreciatively on the hood this time, smiling. "You're the best." he said. "So how about a drive? I don't really care where. I'm just out to kill time. I'd like to spend it with you." Sam felt kind of guilty for not trying to find Bee, but originally he'd anticipated just hanging out somewhere alone, as Sam didn't mind the occasional silence, and after that 'no duh' response Bee made earlier, Sam was pretty sure he understood the gist of what he was thinking. But things were always better with Bee around, so now a drive sounded much nicer.

Bee only revved his engine happily in response and wiggled his driver side door a little. Yes, yes, he wanted to go for drive. “Saddle up partner,” he quoted and wiggled his door a little again.
Drive, drive. Driving was good. It also meant Sam was safe and sound with Bee and unless a Decepticon ran over him, there would be nothing to harm Sam. He bopped a little, happily, and waited for Sam to get in before playing another clip of music. "I'm here on the road I seem to have it all We bolt it to the floor Or we tape it to the wall"
He waited and assured that Sam was buckled in before slowly backing out. With a quiet rev, he stalled for a moment, wondering if Sam wanted to drive, then asking him through various quotes.
((lyrics; John Mayer's Go Anywhere ooc: I can't find any good quotes for asking if he wants to drive...))

Sam hadn't driven anything in a while, so he jumped at the opportunity, glad that Bee still didn't mind him driving. "Sure, I think I'll drive, at least for a while." he said happily once he was buckled in as Bee backed out. He put both hands on the steering wheee before gradually accelerating out of the play ground parking lot.
Of course, Sam didnt really know where he wanted to go, so he just drove out on to the main roads unless Bee wante to go elsewhere. He let Bee have the final statements on where they went."Anywhere you want to go?"

Bumblebee just kept an eye out for speed limits. He would help keep Sam in check and keep the psycho cop far away from Sam. Far, far, far away from Sam. And he half wished he was talking about Barricade, because then he could just blow the slagger to the Pit, but he was talking about a human, which made that a little difficult.
At Sam's question, Bee played a clip, "they be like no, n-no, n-n-uh-no he didn't."
It was the best he could come up with. He relaxed as Sam sat in his proper place, behind the wheel, where he always got to sit, no matter what...well, except that first night he drove with Sam and he sat in the passenger seat with Mikaela for awhile, but he quickly took the driver's side again.
For Bumblebee, it was like Sam belonged there. Which only made him want to lock Sam up and keep him safe all the more. So...he didn't know where to go anymore then Sam did, but the Lookout was probably a bad idea, if the rumors he had been hearing were true at all.

"Well, I would say let's get lost, but I know this city so well it's hard to get lost," Sam said as he drove them down the main road they were on. He'd take them as far out as it'd go, and would decide on where to turn from there. Maybe they'd leave the city completely. Right now he didn't really care, he would rather get lost with Mikaela and/or Bee than anyone else out there. "You know Bee, I sometimes wish I could bring you and Mikaela on campus. It's not the same with out you no matter how well my days go..."
