Walking in silence towards Shadow lake a teenage girl of at least 17 walked on the grass making her foot steps muffled. Look all around her she saw most teenagers from the school and a few parties but besides that not mcuh was going on. Sighing, Koryn sat under the shady part of a tree tying her red-brown hair back into a long ponytail. It was a weekend however but very boring for a Saturday and with no friends she had no plans. Well unless sneaking out after doing chores counted for something that is in which she doubted. Sighing she leaned her head abck slightly, deep in thought.
Moving here two years previous had seemed a good idea but now....the idea was well she didn't know how to describe it. No car. No friends. No life to live. Yea some palce this had turned out to be! Her mother was already fighting with her father over this and just recently Koryn had ahd a fight with her parents. The only thing was she absolutely, positively hated to fight. "They just never lsiten to me." She said letting out a frustrated sigh. It was true they did listen some times but not as much as they use to, not to mention her father was being very secretive lately.
What in the world was going on at this NEST base any how? And why did it upset her parents so much? So many questions and thoughts went through Koryn's mind she thought her brian would eexplode. And if fate served her luck maybe it would.

Sam was taking a walk around the lake. It was just another day Mikaela was busy at work. Man I'm only here a month and she's this busy. Sam sighed in disappointment as he approached Koryn's general area. He tucked his hands into his hoody, frowning. We could be out having a nice walk on this nice afternoon, but it's prime work time for her. Sam already knew where he was going as soon as the afternoon passed.
Sam kicked at some small rocks on the ground. Unfortunately they changed direction. Sailing at a surprisingly faster rate than Sam expected, the rocks shot for Koryn's face like bullets, Sam's head following their movement in surprise and panic.
Oh geeze! Sam's eyes widened and suddenly his original intentions stopped the rocks path...
Much to Sam's surprise, his own will caught hold of the three rocks that were aimed for Koryn's eyes and forehead. Each rock hovered just an inch before her face, floating there like little comments. Sam was staring at her in surprise like she was doing it. Sam glanced away quickly, wincing slightly. "I'm terribly sorry about that...I accidentally kicked at a bad angle..."

Koryn had ignroed the footstes but she gasped, staring straight at the floating rocks before they fell but that was strange and odd. "Eh...no problem..." She said uncertainly standing and still looked weirded out, "Seems strange things are a magnet to this place. It's been that way since I moved her a few eyears back." Why was it that this guy could kick a few rocks then they suddenly just stop? And who exactly was he any how? "So, who are you any way?" Koryn asked suddenly curious.

Apparently she knew little about what was going on around here. Sam scratched the back of his head. He approached her cautiously. noticing how wierded out she looked."Yeah, these are strange times that's for sure. I'm Sam Witwicky, attending Turnberry University. Who are you?" he held out a hand for her to shake.

Koryn held ehr hand out shaking Sam's hand, "KOryn Valliere, and I'm attending Tranquility Highschool." She said. But she thoguht she may look like an idiot for saying the thigns before, even after two years she hadn't the slightest clue what went on here. "Sorry if I sound...clueless. I guess I never get the chance to be the out-going type of person really, military life can limit alot of it."She sighed. BUt she was surprised at for once being less shy then normal but it was probably still due to the sudden floating rocks that made her uncertain about Sam. Then that's when another question poped into her mind. "If you don't mind another question but do you know what exactly goe son at the NEST base?" She asked, "You see my father works there but refuses to explain what he helps with.".

"You don't know? Quite a few of us know now, especially around here in Tranquility. The number one reason why they are so tense is because there is a was-once-secret/classified War going on between two Alien races and now Earth is in their crossfire..." he paused, letting her take in the word 'aliens'. "No I am not making this up, I was caught in the in the middle of some of it just about a year ago."

Koryn frowned at the words of 'aliens' and 'war'. She had heard this since she was 13, which was around the same time NEST had been offical, she had heard it on the news but thought it was all...dillusional. "Actually i wouldn't beleive unless I saw it Sam, that's just me. I've been hearing this since four years ago when NEST started to exist but never telling it's purpose. If that is true then I'd ahve to see it before I could trust that." She said with a shrugg. But maybe that was the reason for ehr father's secrective moods. Maybe there WAS something more about nEST then it was les to beleive but she shook ehr ehad inwardly. That couldn't be possible!

"I can understand that. I guess we'll just have to see if you encounter any of the Autobots or Decepticons." Sam said with a shrug. He knew she wouldn't believe him if he told her his ride was an Autobot, so he let her think about the names he'd mentioned instead. "Yeah, the Autobots are good, the Decepticons are evil, hence the name. I feel like a nutcase trying to explain this...maybe I should stop," he said, rubbing his forehead.

"Autobots?Decepticons? Yea pretty much there Sam, sounds like a load of crap to me." Koryn said still very unconvinced, well until she would encounter one. This seemed like the news all over again and now she was meeting someone who said they were real. What was going on with the world?

Sam shrugged. "Who knows when the Decepticons will attack this part of Tranquility next, but I do know they haven't given up yet. But if they do, it will most likely be pretty easy to tell who---oh geez." A wave of delayed dizzyness and pain washed over him. His mind and body was freezing up from having exerted a lot more energy than usual. It must have been from somehow succeeding in stopping the rocks with his mind. It must be because I'm not exactly human anymore...Looks like I'm just now getting used to it.
Sam rubbed his forehead with both hands on his temples in serious pain, starting to sweat a bit, his ears ringing. He tried to regulate his breathing as he thought about why this was happening, and thus far it was working. Just stay calm about this. You're still of human flesh and blood-not exactly like Chris...just...different now...Now she must really think I'm crazy or delusional.

Koryn had frowned when Sam began talking about another attack from the so called Decepticons, to which she still though he was nuts. BUt she stared at Sam when she saw he looked in serious pain, "Sam? Are you alright?" She asked with concern. Alright now this was starting to get weirder and weider by the minute. This sudden pain on Sam's face was odd in a way since headaches seemed rarely to come that fast or to be triggered so quickly. Then she thought of the floating rocks and frowned once more. OCuld that have been from the strange person she was talking to? But that just couldn't be! None of this could be possible!

"Maybe I can say I am if I don't find myself picking up any more rocks out of thin air," he said bitterly, the headache ebbing a way bit by bit. So it was brief and chances are he'd get accustomed to it. Good. I'd tell Chris and Mikaela about this but as long as its not life threatening, I don't see the need to hurry about it. Sam thought.
He straightend up and shuffled his feet slightly, glancing back at Koryn. "Yeah, I'm fine..." still feeling dazed, he sat back down.
I still don't understand why exactly this happened. But it seems to me I have some how learned to make use of my will power...
Sam planted his hands on the ground in front of him and then focused on his energy, fusing his mind with the pace of the earth around him, digging down into the roots. His mind pulled at the essence of each tip of grass in front of his hands. He became engrossed in the task, pulling so much his mind slipped with out him knowing, and the reverse effects occurred. A mental image of his hands suddenly melting into the very ground itself wavered through the depths of his mind and his heart began to pound.I meant to--!
Suddenly there was a rumble, and to Sam's surprise and dismay, his intentions didn't entirely succeed. The earth caved in on itself, but having been so engrossed in the task, he over did it. As the ground rumbled, its intensity grew, expanding out a foot or two around him, moving in deep. And suddenly, the ground just busted open below his hands, a deep crack that spanned out into forming an oddly shaped circle jutted below his hands, almost as wide as his body that was still sitting cross legged. Darkness washed over him as he fell.
Sam shouted in surprise and fell face first into the pit-which was luckily not that deep, barely four feet, and was about 4 feet in diameter. A few very slow seconds passed, his breathing hollow. "Oh man..." Sam muttered, spitting out a bunch of earth as he pushed himself backwards. Turning around, he pushed himself up and out of the pit.

KOryn gave Sam an odd look, like he was going crazy of somethiing. Watching as he became engrossed in something she titled her head in puzzlement until she heard ground rumbling and looked down. Was it an earthquake? But her question was answered when she saw the cracks coming from one palce...Sam. Eyes now wide Koryn began to step back but nearly fell from part of the pit caving in on itself and she barely managed to jump back.
Staring at the strange circle she shook ehr head and helped Sam out of the pit but still looked freaked out. "Uh...Sam, what exactly are you?" She asked now staring at him with more fear then weirdness. For someone to do that wasn't natrual but jsut plain creepy!

Now she's afraid of me but I'm still human... Sam gazed at her with dismay, and then back at the hole. He kicked at the edge a bit, forcing some loose dirt into the pit. "As far as I'm concerned, I'm still human." he checked his pulse, closing his eyes for a moment. "Pulse is still normal," His head began to ring a little bit but he knew it was just from his mind and body not being used to being...used this way. "I think I just figured out how to 'stretch my mind' a little...telekinesis, as they call it. Numerous case studies have been made over it since the last Cold War I believe. I forget what exactly, but the human mind usually is not capable of such hyper activity. But I think some key events changed this...key events that you wouldn't believe unless you saw an Autobot for yourself."
Sam shrugged helplessly. Heh, wouldn't it be ironic if Bee showed up. Don't really know where he is though, he thought with disappointment. Maybe I'll go looking for him later.

"Telekinesis? I've heard of it but it's always been a myth, just stories. At least that's what I've known it to be...until now." KOryn said shaking her head as if all f this wasn't possible. It shouldn't even be possible! No one has been able to prove it existed, but suddenly right here at the lake someone was able to make the ground cave in! BUt if Sam was human, what in the world...no the universe, could have caused such a strange phenomanon to happen? Though with her thinking the fear ebbed away into curiosity again. "So if these Autobots and Decepticons ARE real, thre is a chance they fight beside the humans at NEST I'm gessing." She crossed her arms deep in thought.
Was that why her father wouldn't say something about his new job at the base? It didn't seem that dangerous so what was the point in keeping a secret when her or ehr mother could find out. "I guess anything is possible I suppose, if your telling the truth I'm finding out very soon seeming as I'm being forced to go to NEST next weekend with my dad." She said.
