[[CYBERTRON, close to Chris's home]]
It was a great day. Ironhide was babysitting little Chris Stratos again. Barely four years old, he felt like he was watching a bug. How significant. On the right side of his processor, he knew it mattered. The other half could care less. It didn't help he was bored out of his mind. His optics were fixed on every little movement the boy made. It was a pitiful site to see such a large, heavily armored robot look so bored.
The Autobot was debating about doing target practice, but he would seriously get yelled at if he was caught doing that around such a tiny flesh-infant. Ironhide leaned back and scowled, glaring at Chris. "Anything on your agenda today, little one?" he inquired, clearly displaying the fact that he was DEFINITELY enjoying their time together thus far.

Setinel looked up at his Uncle Ironhide, it wasn't exactly the most fun day for him either. Things were unsually quiet around the base, and his Father had been in meetings all day. Not to mention the fact he had just lost his Mother only a few months prior. That last bit had not hit him too hard, he was too young to understand.. But someday, it would. "Daddy said he had somethin' planned before the stupid Council called him in." He said, not meaning to sound as disrespectful towards the Council as he did "What about you Unlce 'Hide?"

"Absolutely nothing." Ironhide replied simply, tapping a fist against the hard surface. "I got orders to watch you. Else I'd go shoot...stuff. Optimus would not be happy if I took you with me. So that narrows down my options by a lot." he sat forward on his knees, optics staring down at the little fleshing. At times, Ironhide still had trouble believing this was the last Prime's son. He was so tiny..."My knowledge on entertaining humans is limited. So you're going to have to help me out unless you want to sit around bored for the next couple of hours." he explained, trying to sound positive but failing.

Setinel looked at Ironhide, and thought for a moment. He really wanted to see Ironhide blow stuff up, that was for sure. He had always heard of how good Ironhide was with a cannon, but as much as Alex had seen it, Ironhide had never shown him. "Awww but I wanna see you blow stuff up!" He said with the upbright hyperness of a four year old "Please Uncle Ironhide... Daddy won't even know." He quivered his lip, giving the puppy dog look.

Ironhide's optics blinked at Setinel bit. He was unnerved by Setinel's adorable face...well, almost. Perhaps he should have expected that response. "So you say, but I do not want to be caught, and I'd hate to see you get hurt. I'm unsure if even keeping you on my shoulder would be safe. You're small and delicate. Flying debris could be very harmful if I lose track of you. The last thing I look forward to today is seeing Optimus get angry and remind me to be careful." he rolled his optics. Normally he would be all 'sure! let's go right now!' But it really was a danger for the little boy, as much as Ironhide found it fun...

"Fine..." Chris crossed his arms, and sulked a bit. Then looked up at his Uncle Ironhide a bit, thinking quietly. "But I don't wanna do any kids stuff..." He said, talking with the maturity he would show often "Let's paint all the 'bots pink again!" He said reffering to what he had done when Ironhide had been drunk. Then he thought slowly at the being on Ironhide's shoulder comment. He eyed his shoulder. Communicating with his eyes to Ironhide he'd like a lift, but too scared to vocalize it with Ironhide obviously frustrated.

Ironhide just stared at Chris for a little bit. Great, not this again...but it's probably safer than target practice. Ironhide thought. "Uh okay...Arcee obviously doesn't count...and neither does Chromia because I would be very unhappy with the situation." Ironhide insisted. "Who do you want to find and where the heck are we going to get all the paint?"

"I don't know, but I can get d'paint. Sunny let's me have it all the time." Setinel smirked a bit, then smiled gently at him "I'm gonna need a ride you yer shoulder to get it." It was true, but was also a coy way to get him to let him on his shoulder. This was something he loved to do, ride on Autobot's shoulders. "It's really high up."

"All right then." Ironhide agreed. He flattened out his right hand, palm facing towards the earth so Setinel could have a bridge to walk on to his bulky shoulder. He was so tiny, the boy was barely the size of one of his fingers. So very tiny, Ironhide would have to make sure he was as careful and steady as possible. "Hold tight," he said, waiting for Setinel to secure himself so he could lift up his hand. Once doing so, he placed the left edge of his flat hand across his right shoulder so the small child had a sturdy place to cross. "Point the way when you're ready."

Setinel smiled happily, he was lucky Ironhide was like this. He wasn't always the friendliest mech but he had a soft spot for two kids. His son, Alex, and Setinel. He had been there for Setinel's birth and was one of the first to hold him, so that may have explained that. He fidgeted before getting comfortable, and sitting calmly. "That way, first door on the right." He pointed down a hallway.

Ironhide took a few steps forward and turned to the right, opening the door. "All right then here we go." He said, getting out a few large buckets of pink paint and putting them one of the carts that was in the supply room. "Whose the first victim?" he asked as he placed the large buckets on the cart.

"I'd say Daddy, but he wasn't so happy last time." Setinel thought out loud, then looked at Ironhide "Let's get Uncle Bee, i didn't get to do dat last time!" He smiled happily, he was sure Bee would be equally unhappy, but being a little kid didn't think too hard on it "Then we can play it on Dadd, set up pranks!."

"Yay Bumblebee hunting." Ironhide said a bit sarcastically. Bee would probably be irked with them BOTH after they were found out. "By the time you get bored of this i think Arcee might find she has a lot of look alikes." Ironhide shook his head, chuckling a little bit. "Now I only hope Optimus gets back soon so he doesn't remain on your list."
Ironhide jostled forward, pushing the cart along, looking for Bumblebee, hiding around corners when he could to avoid being spotting with a cart-full of paint and a child on his shoulder which clearly read trouble.
"You know, this place could use some color...anything but pink though," Ironhide muttered after they rounded a few corners. That was probably an equally bad suggestion...[/I][/color]

"Ooooh but that would be perfect!" Chris giggled, clearly Ironhide didn't understand the concept of a practical joke. "It's s'possed to be a joke!" He giggled lightly "T'would would be funny!" He explained with a wide smile. He hoped that would convince Ironhide to do it, but he wasn't getting his hopes up.

"I suppose we'll have to clean it all up though. We should go back and get more colors." Ironhide said, turning the cart around. "Perhaps a little bit of everything." Ironhide made his way back to get different colors that would help balance out Arcee's color.
Optimus is going to me strangle me for this just as much... Ironhide thought helplessly. Though this seemed to be a better solution than painting on Autobots that would be even angrier at you or taking a small child to a shooting range...right?
