Chris would so much rather be facing down Megatron himself right now. However, he owed Mikaela and her Father an explanation. He had had so much going on. His Uncle died, he moved into NEST, he had to deal with well.... The fact freakin' Unicron himself wanted him dead.
Case in point he hadn't been in the shop for his shift in close to a month. He was sure Mikaela was going to outright kill him, at least until she heard him out at least. He sighed, stepping into the shop calmly, he didn't see anyone around. Blinking he walked to the counter.
"Mikaela, Mr. Banes? Anyone here?" He called out.

Hearing the door to the shop creak open,her eyes we're already narrowed and she was about ready to kill something.Here she was day after day stuck in this shop taking care of her father,barely getting to see Sam and not even getting a break to travel.Popping a wrench off the counter she threw it towards the direction where the person had come in,the wrench of course missing they're head and hitting the door with a sickening bang.
"I trust you do have a good reason for being away for so long,better speak up".
Yes she was in a bad mood,it seemed things we're happening and she hadn't been informed of what has been going on which made her beyond mad.It had been weeks since last heard from any autobot,has not seen a single decepticon and rarely anything from Sam.Maybe a few texts and some phone calls but that was it,she hadn't even seen Wheelie around anywhere usually he couldn't bare to leave her side.

Chris ducked before realizing the wrench hadn't hit him. He sighed, how did he put this the easy way? Or better yet in the shortest way humanly possible? This was going to be much harder then he thought.
"I tried to get out of the base long enough to come here Mikaela but I couldn't. And my cell phone was destroyed a few weeks ago." Chris recalled the incident at the ATV track "Look, my Uncle was killed by Decepticons a few weeks ago. I've been stuck on the base for the last half a month."
He prepared himself for another wrench in case she sent it flying his way. "You can ask Bee or Sam, they can both vouch for me. Dad's barely letting me off the base lately." He didn't say why. As the specifics regarding the Unicron situation would end in a talk that could go on until midnight. "I'm really sorry, I came here to do the right thing and hand in my letter of resignation."

"Why does everyone leave me in the dark,is it because you think I can't help".
She came out from where she had been standing just a few seconds ago,she sighed and just put a hand on her hip.His Uncle had been killed and his phone had been destroyed,there was alot she had been missing out on which really sucked.But why should she complain or pout even take a tantrum,she was a woman now and that kind of thing was for kids.Mikaela just wished they would contact her more often,if she had a guardian bot then it would be easier for her to help out everyone including Chris and Sam.

It was true she felt bad for him,losing someone who was special to you was not something she would want to hear.Hearing about Bee and Sam made her hang her head,she wanted to help more.Not caring if she got hurt or put in harm's way,she just wanted to be there to help incase anything else should happen.Hearing him wanting to turn his letter of resignation in,she just shook her head.
"You know what forget it,if your leaving i'm going with you and if your going to argue i'll personally kick your ass".
Son of Optimus or not,she wanted to get out of this bike shop and go on the open road again.And if she had to take her own cycle to do that and leave a letter for her dad so be it,but she was curious and wondered if one of those cycles at NEST would be willing to be her autobot.Sam had a guardian and Wheelie well he wasn't really a guardian more of a worshipper of her,she wanted a actual guardian.

"It's ok... Dad's been helping me get through it, and so have Sides and Bee." Chris commented, nodding slowly. When she insisted on coming with him, Chris was a bit taken aback. He hadn't known Sam hadn't told her anything.
But he wasn't about to stop her. She was an Autobot Ally, and highly respected one at that. Plus, like Monica, he wasn't about to say no to her for fear of just what she'd do. "Don't worry if you want to come with me I won't stop you." Chris nodded "You've done the saving the world thing before anyway."
"I don't know, Moonracer or Chromia may be up for it. But Arcee's on guardian duty for Monica." Chris explained.
