Nick sighed as he went through the textbooks within his locker very calmly. It was, thankfully, free period for him and as such he finally got a well-deserved break after the long day at school that had preceded it. He wasn't spending it like he usually did, checking out and hittin on girls. No, he wasn't looking to do that for now. He sighed, sitting himself down at a table after finally finding his copy of one of his favorite books 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and sat down at a nearby bench reading calmly. Damn, this is so unlike me it's almost kind of scary. He thought to himself.

Leah yawned at the dullness of the days. Everything had seemed to pass by as a blur since she woke. She didn't have Adrien's constant babbling in her ear nor Arden's hyper active-ness near. It's odd really, everything seemed so normal, and well-- quiet and that was just weird. She smiles to herself as she breathes to try to keep conciousness. Shaking her head, she examines the contents of her locker, taking out her math binder. Unexpectedly she recalls the undying moments of when Adrien had tried to tutor her-- that did not end well. She had ended up throwing a drink at him and he in turn walks out. She chuckles slightly at the random thought. But, as her eyes drop to the single white binder, she's crushed with the idea of unfinished homework. Slamming her locker, she heads to the quad, immediately looking for a place to sit. Looking around, it was slightly crowded, mostly with groups of eating or talking friends. She avoids them, looking for some soliditary. That is, until she sees a single blonde crouched over an enormous book.
Biting her lip, she contemplates on her situation. Should she sit by him? Or was it too early? I mean c'mon! She'd only start seeing the guy! Breathing deeply, she approaches the table. "Hello." she says softly as she drops her bag at her side and book on the table.

Nick looked up setting a bookmark in his book and smiled. Leah Gerard, he had had so many up's and down's with her. She handn't wanted to be with him at first, and he guessed that was what drew him to her. She had been the one girl he couldn't get, and that had made him interested. But eventually, it seemed she had fallen for him too, as they had shared a kiss a little over a week ago. Now they were a couple, Nick's first real relationship. He smiled wider and kissed Leah on the cheek. "Well hello there." He said in reply.

Leah smiled at the chaste kiss and looks over Nick. He was scrawny, sported a boyish charm to him and had messy hair. He really wasn't the guy that she was initially anticipating. She had pictured a musculine brunette with intense brown eyes and who could easily sweep her off her feet with a deep baritone voice. It's odd really, she hated him at first. She sits down, smiling at him shyly. Sure, of course, this was different. She had never really had a boyfriend before. And, those around her never really were a good source of advice. Opening her binder, she sighs once again. "So..."she starts off, "Since when did Nicholas Ryan purposely avoid the scene with the popular crowd?" She points to a table near by, filled with laughing occupants. She tried to pull her tone to be of a joking one, but she felt as if she had turned it cruel and cold. "I meant---" she staggered, "I'm just not used to you---reading, by yourself and it seems like it's for fun."

"Oh yes, because hanging out with Flint and his posee of the Gang Members and Rapists of tomorrow is so my style." Nick replied sitting down next to her calmly and putting an arm around her, slowly at first, but calmly. "I'd rather have lunch with Atilla The Hun then have lunch with them." He chuckled at his own stupid joke slightly. He then added. "Though you're much better company then either of them, or a Decepticon for that matter. Or..." He then added "Ok I really need to stop naming off names, I'm sounding corny." He admitted.

Leah stiffened at his hand, almost completely ignoring his statements. This is really weird to her. The physical encounters are still new to her. The arm was no exception. If anything, it was more awkward. She laughed lightly at his own jab at himself. "Only slightly." Smiling, she flips through her binder acquiring her assignments. "So, then Mr. Brightside, what are you really doing here? Other than harboring through some Harry Potter book?" she quickly slipped back into old teasing ways, and right now, she thinks that this is the most comfortable position. She slides away slightly, shrugging his draped arm of with nonchalance. "Really! I mean, who hasn't read those books yet? And besides, who still enjoys them?" she asks, trying to avoid his eye.

Nick let go as she slid away, he didn't mind, it wasn't that big a deal, they were together, just taking it slow. They kissed, sometimes on the cheek, sometimes on the lips, but it was still new to both of them. Leah was, after all, his first kiss, so the kissing itself was even more akward then one would think. "Eh, I can relate... I mean ordinary kid in extraordinary circumstances. That's why I love them." he then added "After all not everyone's the son of a giant robot." He chuckled.

"Ah... of course, the big fish in the little pond." Leah wasn't looking at him at all at this point, her attention was suddenly brought to the geometry homework in front of her. The triangle ABD was supposedly congruent to triangle EFG on the other side of the parallel lines, prove the statement with a flow chart proof. She really did hate this class. Taking out a pencil, she bit the end, in frustration. "So, what's up?" she says casually, realizing that the distraction that the homework provided was more than enough comfort space. Her mind went to work at the proof. She counted the boxes and analyzed the given. She looks up at him, sneaking a glance, she smiled, seeing him only as Nick. That thought ultimately countering her perception of him from the start. That, of course, he was a total jackass who knew nothing of the real world.
