"This is my first visit to the base ever...I just got done with my tour and was told I could explore the base freely....[/color] Leslie hadn't noticed that Josh was looking at her but there was one thing that she noticed, she wasn't extremely nervous or scared at the moment. Normally she would be bright red in the face, nervous and very apologetic to almost anything that happened. Even if a leaf fell to the ground she would probably apologize for that, but no at this moment she wasn't very nervous. She was wondering why she wasn't so nervous and turned to look at Josh only to see that he was locked on her. She felt her cheeks turn a light rosey pink color and knew at that instant that if she wanted to be friends with anyone at the base it was him. He didn't seem like such a bad kid, he was really nice and didn't even act like he was a street kid, plus he was actually fairly cute.

"I'm kinda surprised on dat...I mean dis is a big ass bots we're talkin bout here an who knows what else...Josh glanced away, though noticed when Leslie looked back at him she seemed uncomfortable...no, blushing. Her cheeks were just red. She was probably just shy and nervous. He was as well, he hadn't encountered many girls on the streets in a while and he usually used them to pick pocket or 'help' him get food. "Uh, heh...sorreh if I make yah nervous...yer the first girl I've ever bothered talkin' to...what might there be to actually do around here? I know dere's da lounge..."Josh scratched his head, still glancing away, taking out the butterfly knife out of habit, he began to spin it about his wrist out of habit.
Josh had practiced spinning the blade different ways in his free time when he was bored. He hadn't had a full tour of the base yet. He only knew where the kitchens were, the lounge, the bathrooms, and Justin's room. Josh didn't know a Rec center even existed in this base. And how did he got the knife? Simple, he pick pocketed someone because he saw the shape in the pocket. Josh was good at spotting stuff like that.

Leslie nodded in response to Josh's first statement and pulled a piece of the grass up and started to fiddle around with it. She wondered why she felt oddly comfortable and the blush even started to vanish from her cheeks. The piece of grass that she held crumbled in her fingers like dust and she moved onto another piece of grass as Josh spoke again. She was shocked at what he said, he was apologizing for making her nervous. That was the first time that anyone had ever apologized to her or anything. For the moment she stared at him, locking onto his eyes before quickly pulling away. "It's allright. I'm not uncomfortable or anything, I'm always nervous an shy. Its who I am. [/color] She replied as she threw away the piece of grass she had and looked over to him as he pulled out the butterfly knife he had. She was amazed at how skilled he was when he twirled the blade, but then again he had probably had that thing all his whole life and used it a lot. "Yeah, there is a lounge. I also think I saw a Rec room on my tour, it had everything. Swimming pool, boxing, target range and even a few video games for the kids that live here. [/color]

He hadn't received a full tour yet, which could be a good or bad thing, or not mean anything at all. Josh figured he'd either get one now or he could bug Mudflap for a full tour of the base some other time unless he was suddenly forced to leave. And now that he'd met a few people here, he really didn't want to. This was the first place he'd found he really thought had potential for calling home."I can always try askin Mud, but why not try now? If ya don't mind obviously."[/size]

“Sure!” [/color] Leslie said excitedly as she stod up and brushed her jeans free of any dead grass. She had to think for a moment about exactly where the Rec room was but she eventually remembered and waited for Josh to get to his feet. “If I remember correctly the Rec room should be just inside the back entrance of the base. [/color] She knew it was going to be a slight bit of a walk from the tarmac to the actual base but she was alright with walking.
