Mikaela was having some what of a bad day. Sam wasn't around and those she knew weren't. She needed to take the bad day and turn it good. She was walking on the sand, her sneakers in her hands. She enjoyed the feel of the cold sand and water, the water splashing over her feet. Up to her ankles, she was humming softly. It was a beautiful day, she saw seagulls landing and taking off on the sand. A soft smile seen on her face, she thought about her family. She cared for everyone, she was like that. She cared for the bots, all of them lovable. Looking up at the sky, the sun out and shinning down on her skin.
'Wish someone was here with me' she said and sighed.

Having finished teaching school for the day and taken an extra hour to knock out some paper work, Sam decided to head straight home, glad work was finished. On the way, he decided to call home and see if Mikaela was there but no one picked up. Considering the likely-hood that she might actually be home, Sam decided he'd just text Mikaela and meander around a bit to find her. Driving their family vehicle, Sam kept a decent speed limit as he headed towards the beach. Sometimes Mikaela went there in the afternoons. Sure it was in the dead middle of winter and it was pretty chilly, but the water was bearable in some places, and the beach was still a nice place to visit during the day. Sam sent her a quick text to let her know he was off work for the day.
Sam parked the vehicle, locked it and walked out casually, putting on a light weight dark jacket. He walked for several minutes before he saw any people out on the beach, but gradually he saw a faint figure up ahead. Heart skipping a bit, he quickened his pace slightly and walked towards Mikaela. Daniel was safe at day care (which I presume they could definitely afford) and so he did not have to worry about picking him up and making sure someone was watching him.
As he got closer, he saw that she was pondering stepping into the water, as her shoes were in her hand. A faint smile could be seen on his face as he recalled the fact that some close to two decades ago, he'd been frightened to call anyone 'love', or 'dear', but he'd grown used to it and more confident since then, and now it was mainly done out of habit, and to make it clear that his feelings for her never faded. "Hello love. I called the home phone after I got off work and no one picked up so I thought I'd see if I could find you..."he didn't think she'd be bothered by it since to his knowledge she hadn't made any major plans...And of course if she'd been bothered by him looking for her then that issue would have probably been addressed already...

She had done a lot of thinking, she knew it was crazy to be here in the winter. But she didn't care, she was humming to herself. She checked her phone and noticed Sam, she text back. She closed her eyes, the cold sand on her feet. Everything was wonderful, there son was spending some time with other kids. But she stopped hearing something, her eyes scan the area and wondered.
"Who..." She said to herself and turned, a smile on her face.
"Sam!" she said the tone of her voice was surprised
She ran up to him and put her arms around him, she kissed him lovingly. Her eyes looking into his eyes. "I thought you didn't have a day off" She thought. "Im so glad you have today off, id like to just spend some alone time. We don't get much alone time" she said
"But I understand why, we have a big family. I see all our friends as family. Even if they are robots, so to speak" She smiled.

"Actually I got off work about half an ago."Sam replied with a smile, appreciating the hug and kiss."Daniel's still at day care, so we have some time...isn't it a bit cold out to be walking barefoot?"he asked curiously. It was still winter, technically, and it got cold from time after December out on the West Coast, though that mainly depended on the type of fronts that rolled over. At least winter was technically over with.
(sorry the post is much shorter and to the point. My muse has been bouncing around a bit...)

Mik smiled "Doesn't bother me, but I see your point" She said simply, she sighed a bit. She grinned. "Why don't we go some place to eat, unless you already ate" She asked, wondering what was going on in his head. She held onto his arm, enjoying the weather. Some times she liked going here. "Any place to think, I can relax. But your here with me, so thats all i need' she said.
(No Worries)
