Monica sat a tad nervously in her living room waiting for Adrien. Today, she was having Mark and Chris meet him. There were multiple ways this could turn out and knowing Chris didn't like Adrien much already kind of worried her. Either way, she put herself together in dark wash jeans, a blue/white plaid shirt with sleeves that came down to about her elbow. Her blonde locks were in their natural slightly wavy state and she was wearing a small amount of make-up. Where is he? she couldn't help thinking, though he was no where near late.

Adrien hurried along the suburbian streets, trying hard not to be worried about this situation at all. It is him that he, himself, is talking about! He's brilliant, and absolutely fantastic, who could possibly disapprove of him. But, perhaps, his babblings and rants should go to a minimum. As he pulls up to Monica's drive way, with his incessant thoughts to boost his current ego status, he looks over his attire. He tried to act and look serious enough for these two boys that Monica had apparently known for the majority of her life. Giving his jeans with a white dress shirt and blazer another once-over, he walks out of his borrowed car from his father and makes his way to the door. Shifting from the balls of his feet, he rings the doorbell.

Monica perked up hearing a car come down the street and park, then approaching footsteps and finally the doorbell. "Time for the fun to begin," she muttered a bit sarcastically, before standing up and opening the door with a smile on her face. "Hi Adrien," she greeted him. "Ready to meet my best friends?" she asked, trying to be positive.

Adrien returns her loving smile and leans down slightly to capture her lips in a chaste hello kiss. Once he pulls back, he could only give her a risen brow to question such a remark. "Oh aren't I just?" he flashes her the fakest grin he could muster. Giving Monica a quick once over, he couldn't help but say, "Am I over dressed?" He looks down at his attire, trying to figure out if maybe he might have tried to much. He really didnt want to seem needy to these so called friends of Monica.

"You look fine," Monica replied with a chuckle. "The jeans create a casual/formal crossover kind of look, very presentable," she added with a reassuring grin. It was sweet how worried he was about meeting Chris and Mark, though she herself was just as worried if not more. Her positive thoughts however, kept the negative away. Her reasons for her worried feeling beside the obvious ones were that Chris had expressed his dislike the first time she told him about meeting Adrien and Mark was like the big brother she never had, very protective and not wanting someone touching or doing something to a girl, especially her, in the wrong way.

He puffs his chest, trying to enflate a deflated ego. "I am, so fine!" he says without pouting, there was a lot that Adrien Cold did, but pouting wasn't one of them! Then, his position changes, grabbing her arm and running full speed ahead. "Come on!!" he shouts, just before he reaches the car door. Opening the passenger side, he bows and states, "Your carriage awaits my princess." A grin couldn't help but bursts into his expression as the cheesy words filled his mouth. Wow, he really needed to work on that. Closing the door, he rushes over to the drivers seat and fumbles with the keys to start the engine. "My, I really do hate riding this thing!" he says outloud, clearly frustrated.

"Whoa!" Monica uttered as he pulled her. She made sure to grab the door and pull it shut before they flew off the porch. "Someone got excited all of a sudden," she commented. "Thank you kind sir," she replied cheese-ily as she took her seat on the passenger side. She smiled as Adrien got frustrated with the keys. "I'll do it," she said, leaning over slightly, taking the keys from him, putting them into the ignition and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before returning to her position in the seat.
Minutes passed, filled with small talk and Monica giving Adrien a few tips on how to try and not piss off her friends or leave a bad impression. Then, they pulled into their destination's parking lot and got out of the car. They walked up towards the entrance to the restaurant and sat down in the waiting area, wanting to wait for their whole "party" to arrive.

Chris wanted to kill someone as he stepped out of his Lambourghini, plain and simple. Here he was, looking like the moron that could have had the girl. He could have asked Monica out any time in their lives. But what had happened? He had been too chicken! Leave it to him to be that way with the one girl he ever loved. And now what? He was meeting her boyfriend, this was just GREAT. He sighed, stepping into the restraunt, and catching sight of them, he walked over. "Hey." He said simply.

Mark made his way to the restaurant by walking. He had chose to walk just to give him time to think, which was probably not the brightest thing to do. He had thought back to the conversation that he had had with Monica earlier, about how he was supposed to meet her and her new boyfriend and Chris at the restaurant. He was still surprised about the whole thing and he was hoping that this 'Adrien' dude would not harm his best gal friend or break her heart, otherwise... he would be in major trouble with Mark. He was the last one there... figures. Lately he had been late to many things since his mother died. "hey guys" he said in an exhausted tone.

Monica looked up as Chris appeared. "Hey," she said smiling at him, trying to be positive since his vibe most definitely wasn't. She felt awkward for but a moment then Mark walked up. "Hi Mark," she called to him with the same positive tone and smile. Stop worrying and try to have fun she told herself. "Well, everyone's here so.... introduction time! Chris, Mark, this is Adrien," she said to her best friends. " And Adrien, this is Chris & Mark," she told her boyfriend.

Adrien tugged miserably at his collar. He rocked at the balls of his feet and couldn't help but play with the lapels of his blazer. He honestly hated this formal thing. It was the utter most horrible thing that he'd ever had to deal with. Yes, he was brilliant and outright fantastic when it came to impressions, but right now--- waiting was the most aggravating thing that he had ever had to do. Well, in reality it was the second most aggravating thing that he had ever done. No, that wasn't fair, it was at least one of the top ten. Suddenly the presence of a new person peeks from the hole that he was trying to dig for himself. He looks up, from the sight of his shoes, to one of their guests for the evening. He stayed silent, letting Monica deal with the arrivals and such. The boy's tones somewhat disgruntled him. It wasn't as if they were being forced to come! They acted as if this dinner was a death sentence! He huffed to himself, annoyed at the thought. If Adrien had had it his way, Monica and him would be in the park running around or just watching the stars.
Hearing his introduction, he steps out from behind Monica and holds out his hand for both the boys. "Right!" he says cheerily, "Hello! Adrien Cold." He would have said more, but the situation somehow called for less attention on him. So, he smiled and waited for them to respond.

Chris feined a half-hearted smile, looking Adrien up and down. If he didn't love Monica, and he was positive he did, he would not be playing nice, at all. He held out a hand, hoping to at least be able to crush it lightly. Not enought to break anything, but enough to get a point across. "Christopher Prime, but I'm sure you knew that." He added "Pleasure to meet you." He added.

Even though, Mark would rather Monica be with someone he trusted wholeheartedly, He acted as nice as he could. But he gave him a look that said that he would be watching him. He just wanted to make sure Adrien would be treating her well. "Pleasure meeting you,Adrien, I'm Mark Chase." He shook his hand warmly. Mark wanted to support Monica, but then again, he was worried that she would get hurt. Perhaps this was why he didn't want to be there fully, but he tried to make it seem like he wanted nothing else in the world besides to be there.

Monica watched as the boys did their meet and greet. They seemed to be pretty well behaved so far. She wondered if Chris would use his strength power in the handshake. Knowing him, he probably did... she guessed. "Everyone's here now," she said politely to the waitress. ======================================================== "Okay, If you would please follow me I'll show you to your table," the waitress said before turning around, grabbing four menus and walking toward a table. ======================================================== As she began to follow the waitress to their table, she gave both Chris and Mark a look to remind them to 'play nice... or else'. She didn't want any fights started between anyone tonight. One peaceful dinner with them was all she asked for, but she wasn't so sure she'd get it.

Adrien ignored the jabs to his ego and pointed looks that were thrown at him. Instead, he smiled and shook each hand with as much cheer as he can muster. He was doing this for himself as much as he is doing this for her. It was time that he had grown up and seen the timelines for what they truly are; threads of time that we are all chasing after. So, he tries his best to try to like these two, apparently charming fellows (he really oughta stop taking advice from Leah and Arden!). Hearing the waitresses's call, he automatically grabs Monica's hand and states, "Right then, enough chit chat! Food's awaiting! Allons-y!" He grins, trying to get one of them to at least chuckle.
Naturally, he reaches the table first, his instinct to get out of here now and fast getting the better of him. Out of habit, he pulls out a chair for Monica, and without hesitation, he was back to his teasing ways. "You're chair my sweet Rose!" he says softly as he leads her hand to the seat. Catching himself, he froze, "I- I meant, my Belle..." He shakes off the little Freudian slip, as he breathes deeply and takes his seat next to her.
