''There is more to them then meets the eye
Personality: Justin is not your average eight year old, but then again, growing up on the streets, that's something you'd expect. He's very shy around anyone new, and is just downright shy in general. Easily hurt or sadenned, it's not hard to upset Justin in the least. All the same, he's quite the tough cookie, he doesn't let anyone mess with him. If a stranger grabbed him and attempted to make off with him, he'd scream, kick, punch and bite. Not exactly your average little kid. But all the same, Justin has a good, kind heart, and uses his tough mask for the most part to cover up inner pain from his years on the streets and the death of his biological Father.

Your Greatest Strength: Justin's greatest strength is his determination. He won't let the odds of something get to him, he'll keep going and keep fighting to the bitter end. He doesn't let his size, height, or age get in the way of anything. He's a lot like his adoptive Father and Brother in that respect.
Your Greatest Weakness: Justin is very shy and sensitive. He doesn't always stick around to learn the full story of things, only jumps to conclusions. He has learned that with every blessing, comes something equally unsettling. And he doesn't always believe it when someone is nice to him. But when he warms up to someone, this tends to change.

History: The world was never kind to Justin Bates, not entirely anyway. Justin's mother died during childbirth, and his father, Darren struggled to pay the rent between a hard job as an architect and raising Justin on his own. When Justin was only three, his Dad lost their home, their car, and his job, and the two were left homeless and on the streets. All the same, if anything, they had eachother.
When Justin was four however, tragedy struck. During an extremely harsh winter, his Dad contracted pneumonia, and without adequat money they could not pay for a doctor. Justin, even as young as he was knew the harsh truth, his Dad was dying. The only thing that could add onto a harsh tragedy such as this that he died, of all days, on Christmas, peacefully in his sleep. Justin was left utterly alone, on the streets of New Jeresy.
Then, when he was seven, Justin's life changed around from out of nowhere. During a snowstorm, Justin snuck into the NEST Base looking for something to eat and somewhere to get warm. It all went well until making too much noise attracted the attention of the Autobot Twin Mudflap who happened to be right by him. Scared out of his mind, he put all the food back, but Mudflap quickly gave him most of it back, figuring out that Justin was just hungry.
Finding out that Justin was quite litteraly living in a cardboard box, Mudflap simply wouldn't have that. Quickly offering Justin to stay at the base, Justin reluctantly agreed, being as shy as he is. After a while of bonding over a single day, Mudflap and Justin became very close without even trying, and Mudflap offered to adopt Justin. Justin was nervous, being that he already had a son, but soon came to find Mudflap didn't seem to mind having two kids.
Thought Justin is by far the youngest person on the NEST Base, and has had no prior connection to any of the Autobots, Decepticons, or NEST itself, Justin is starting to slowly warm up to the others. Though he hasn't quite gotten over his shyness, he is slowly learning what it's like to have a family again. Or to have a brother, having been an only child before it's a whole new experiance to him. All the same however, Justin is willing to adjust, being just happy to have a new group of people to call his family.
Currently, Justin is not attending school, and doesn't plan to until his adoption is finalized. Considering he wants to at the very least adjust to his new surroundings and family amply.
