To PB or not to PB

Just what it says above, should PBs stay, go, or be an option? Personally, I think they should either go, or at least allow for options, ie. non-celebrity or RL PBs. I can understand the Admin's need for some visual representation for a character, but requiring that a RL celebrity be used is not the way to go, not in my opinion. I can also understand that useing Anime-styled images could result in some unrealistic characters, but staff could easily create a rule against non-realistic characters other than pureblood cybertronians.

Not everyone can create a character that can properly mesh with the appearence of a celebrity, and there are times when unrealistic appearences are appropriate.

While this is an interesting poll, I don't plan on taking down the rule. This was decided upon the site's creation. Mostly because not everyone like anime PB's. I don't have problems with them, but unfortuanently it is a turn-off for a lot of people. (This is not just me saying it, this is something I have honestly noticed) Plus, it is the movieverse, if it were based on Animated for example or G1, I would def. allow anime characters.

But the simple matter is that this is based on the movieverse. (Though I do throw in a lot of G1 parallels into it) Therefore my reasoning is just to simply keep the realism of the Universe created for it. (Along with visual aide) I know not everyone agrees with my reasons, but this is just one of those weird little things I'm strict about. (And I have few that I am strict about)

I'm not saying I will never change my mind. (As anyone who's been here for a while knows, I change my mind a lot) It's just that at the moment, I feel this is the best way to go.
