Five year old Nick could never be seen in the same light as his teenage self. No way he could have at all, now, Nick was the polar opposite of what he was like back then. At this age, Nick was just about the most whacky five year old one could imagine. He sighed, in the front yard, he was waiting for his Father to return from work.
Though normally Nick would not be in the front yard alone, he did sometimes break the rules. The little blonde haired boy sat on a small ledge near the gate that surrounded the house, bouncing a small ball up and down, a somewhat source of slight entertainment until his Father got home. When he'd be able to actually play.
"Where is he...?" He asked with all the impatience of a five year old his age, whining lightly and watching for the Comero down either side of the street.

Bumblebee was eager to get home and once released, had sped off like a bat out of hell, his hologram activating as he drove. He picked his way and as he slowly began to drive up, he slowed considerably. He slowly drove up to the driveway and screeched suddenly when he saw Nick in the front yard...alone.
He sighed and realized he couldn't yell haphazordly at him, no matter how much he wanted to, instead stepping out of the car while his radio quoted, "What are you doing young man?"
It was some woman, but his hologram kneeled in front of his son and did some pantomine of asking what he was doing out here, before scooping the boy up into his arms, holding him tight, to convey what he so badly wished he could say. 'Hey little man,' he thought, holding Nick tight to him, before leaning back with a warm smile on his face.

"Daddy!" Nick squealed lightly, he was close to rushing over before he was lifted into his Father's arms. He wrapped his own arms around the mech and hugged him tightly. "I missed you." He grinned widely.
Nick had recently started Kindergarden, and therefore hadn't seen his Father since that morning. Bumblebee had of course given Nick a ride, like he always did. He smiled brightly up into the holoforms blue eyes. "I colored ye a drawing at school." He said witha perky upbeat voice.

Bumblebee sighed quietly. He wasn't sure why, but he knew he wouldn't be able to continue to yell at his adorable son, or get angry at him for long. He gently rubbed his son's back and nodded a litlte before rubbing his head against his son's head.
He smiled and gave a slight sign which meant, 'Really?'
He pantomined glasses as well while still holding his son and he rested his head on the top of Nick's, before slowly heading for the house. He wondered when he would get to see his drawing. He knew it would be wonderful and he bumped his son up a little onto his hip, keeping his arms wrapped firmly around Nick.
"Good boy," his radio quoted and he smiled at his son.

"Uh-huh." Nick pulled out a folded of piece of paper from his pocket, and unolded it, giggling lightly as his Father bounced him on his hip. He loved being with his Dad like this, he really was a fun Father. Even more fun then he'd think Optimus or the others to be.
He handed it over his shoulder lightly towards Bumblebee's free hand. It really wasn't a drawing you'd expect from a little kid. But Nick really did have a nack for drawing. Even if that wouldn't completely show until he was much older. "I drew it of you." He said bubbily with a grin "Ms. Tami told me I have talent." He said, repeating it even if he didn't know what the word really meant.

Bee smiled and gently took the picture to observe, before gently tossing his son over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes with a grin. He held the picture and nodded slightly before heading up to the house, though he was sure that they wouldn't actually remain in the house, or even go in as Bee changed his trajectory to head for the backyard.
He grinned over at Nick and when they were in the backyard, gently rolled him off his shoulder into his arms, though he carefully handed back the picture before he began his tickle attack on his son, holding him close as his hologram shook with quiet laughter. He held him close and fell onto the ground, back first, so Nick wouldn't be harmed.

Nick giggled lightly as he felt his Father pul him over his shoulder. He smiled lightly, then played along. "Daddy I'm not a sack!" He laughed.
Nick felt he and his father go down, laughing even louder. He knew Bumblebee was tickling him in his ticklish spot and couldn't stop the gigle-fit that insued. "Daddy..." He said between it, though like any little boy was truly enjoying it.
His Father's job prevented them from getting to do this all the time. But when his Dad got home, Nick never once could complain. Most of the time he spent with him, though on occasion it'd be with him, Sam, and Mikaela. But he could never, ever, say Bumblebee didn't take time out of whatever busy schedules he had to just be a Father to him.

Bee smiled and hugged his son, nodding in pride at his son. He ran his hand through Nick's hair and stared at his son before leaning up to give him a quick kiss on the forehead. He then suddenly turned over and began to tickle his son again, grinning happily.
He ruffled his hair and looked around, before doing a simple signing that meant asking 'do you want to do anything special while I'm home?'
He loved his son, but sometimes he wished that he could just talk to him. He hated not being able to have a voice to tell his son that he loved him, to ask the questions that needed to be asked. He stared at Nick and smiled warmly, before clinging to his son, almost trapping him to his chest.
Oh, Primus, he had missed Nick.

Nick giggled madly throughout the entire tickling process, breathing deeply when Bumblebee finally stopped he grinned lightly. He prepared himself a bit in case Bumblebee decided to go at him again, but at the same time, leaned gently into his Father's embrace.
When Bumblebee asked him with signs if he wanted to anything, he had to think fo a few moments. There was a lot of things the two of them could do, so it took him that long to think. "We could go to the lake." Nick said bubbily. It was fun for him, because not only could he swim, but he could spend time with his Father in robot form a bit more easily. There were plenty of way they could hang around that would conceal his pressence.

Bee raised his eyebrow slightly. He gently looked around and grinned mischeviously before giving a little nod. He grinned brightly and pulled Nick up, somehow managing to stand, before gently throwing his five year old son up, then catching him, almost falling over.
He shook with silent laughter and immediatly made it toward his alt mode, not allowing Nick to walk on his own. Out they went and he nudged at Chris to shout he was going to be with dad before his passenger door opened on his own, the seat moving forward.
He was not going to allow Nick to sit in the front. For one, he wasn't tall enough and two...no way in the Pit would he transform unless he absolutely had to. He rumbled his engine softly before insuring Nick was buckled in safetly in the backseat, then shutting up.
The hologram sat in the driver's seat. With a low rumble and he began to drive toward the Lake.
He could deny Nick nothing at times.

Nick called out as soon as Bumblebee told him too, smiling happily as he was put into his Father's backseat. He got himself comfortable and sat there as Bumblebee drove, looking out his Father's windows without saying much. He got bored on rides, but it didn't really matter to him. When the lake came into view he grinned widely. "Yay!" He squealed in his usual five year old voice.

Bee laughed silently as his son squealed and he came to a stop. The passenger door opened, the chair moved forward and the seatbelt came undone all at once, though carefully. The hologram got out and he gently lifted Nick into his hologram's arms. He cuddled his son close, feeling that his son was still too young to really be held in his robotic form.
He was too easy to crush, but he still signed out the question, 'Do you want me to transform?'

Nick grinned lightly, looking at his Father's hologram, then towards his alt mode. Nick didn't see the problem with it, he didn't realize how very fragile he was. Nor did he realize that was the exact reason why, normally, when he'd be with Bumblebee in robot form he was on his shoulder. So the answer he gave was simple and the most obvious. "Yes please!" He said with a smile.

Bee managed not to sigh and he gently settled the boy onto the ground. The hologram faded away with a soft flickering of electric blue lights, and he transformed with a quiet whirl.
He slowly stood in his bipedal form and gently reached down to hold his son in his too large hands. He thought continiously about how small his son was and only when Nick was secure in his hands did he slowly lift the boy into the air, up to his shoulder.
He kept Nick close and he was careful. He looked at his son with love and concern, waiting to make sure he was all right.

Nick let out a smile from ear-to-ear as Bumblebee transformed and picked him up. He felt as happy as he always did during moment like this. He loved being with his Dad in his robot or bipedal form. He got comfortable on Bumblbee's shoulder but was careful about how and where he sat.
"I'm ok Daddy." He smiled lightly again as he saw his Dad watching him "Whatcha wanna do?" He asked.
