''Tell me about it
Hey there, my name is Chasm, but you can call me Wulf. I've been on this planet 18 years, but have been RPing for 3-4 years. Along with this character, I tend to make the lives of haven't done any in several months a living hell. Just so you know I found this site by JettaWindstar's siggy on DA.
''Damn I'm good
(temporary. pictures to follow in a few days, hopefully...)Chasm’s height places him somewhere between a normal-sized mech and a mini-bot. His paint colors are dark purple with brilliant gold flames. The flames start at the front of the hood, and extend, at their longest, to the start of the windshield. His Autobot insignia is located on his hood in the center of the flames. His optics are a light blue-violet, and his helmet is a darker version of his optic color, with gold detailing. On his back is a pair of door wings, also painted with gold flames. Centered on his helmet, just over where his optics are, is a clear, plastic visor, usually decorated with painted color splotches. His wheels are located on his shoulders and the backs of his calves. In the index finger of both servos is a small airbrush, which can be hooked up to paint bottles in a port in the top of his servos. All the paint he uses, in addition to an uncounted number of paint grenades and a pistol, are kept sub-spaced until needed.

Personality: Chasm is a bit of an odd mech. Before Decepticons attacked his hometown, he was the resident body artist. Wanted something flashy and cool on your hood? Not a problem. Chasm had paint for almost every color known to Cybertron, and a few more not as well known. The downside to his talent for art was that he was a bit of a perfectionist with it. It would often take him mega-cycles to complete simple, one-color designs, but it would be worth it. The image would hold up almost forever, and look new for just as long. When the war broke out, Chasm was apprehensive about choosing a side. Instead, he stayed in his hometown, until the Decepticons attacked, and set fire to everything. Two new quirks emerged from the event. The first was slight processor damage. The building he’d been living in collapsed while he was inside, though he miraculously survived. His helm had been dented, and left him with a glitch that made him zone out and lose track of everything around him when he focused on a task for an extended period of time. The second was more subconscious. Everything he painted afterwards contained fire in some way, no matter how small. He doesn’t notice he’s adding the fire, and doesn’t mind afterwards, it’s always there.
Boredom is a dangerous thing for Chasm to have around the unsuspecting bot. Falling into stasis is asking to be painted on, and paint on the recharging bot Chasm will. Easily washable paint is always used, but some bots tend to forget, usually leading to Chasm being chased by said bot, shrieking “The paint washes off!”
Chasm is also easily spooked. Responses run from simply running away(SNAFU), flailing and running(TARFU), and tearing away as fast as Cybertronianly possible in alt-mode(FUBAR).* Chasm is a bot who can successfully flail and transform into his alt-mode at the same time, commonly referred to as “flailing into alt-mode.”
Likes: Painting things, searching for new paint colors, the Autobots, humans(civilians, mostly), not having to flee for his life.
Dislikes: Decepticons, dull and lifeless places, government employees, bots touching his doorwings, fighting
Fears: Fire, being unable to paint ever again, getting captured by Decepticons
Your Greatest Strength: Chasm has a memory like an elephant, or at least a Cybertronian equivalent. He never forgets anything he’s seen or heard, down to the exact number of each color car he saw on patrol and where he saw each car(he has since learned that kind of information is, more likely than not, useless, and filters through it before making his report). Combining that with his artistic abilities, and he’ll be able to re-create anything he’s seen or heard, even if the description comes in pieces.
His door wings are used like satellite dishes, picking up communications and such in the air, allowing him to perform his duty as a communications bot.
Your Greatest Weakness: Chasm is not a fighter at all, and makes that obvious. By himself, he would flee at top speed were there to be a Decepticon attack. With people around, he would stay on the defensive, and call for back-up. With other Autobots, he’d help fend off Decepticons, but would not actually engage them. His favorite tactic in that kind of situation is to spray black paint over the optics, given the chance. He will also throw paint grenades.
His photo- and audiographic memory is also not only a strength, but a decent weakness. Because of all the information he recalls, it can cause a back-up with his processing, and slow down his thinking(like when a computer’s memory gets full and slows down, and its memory needs to be upped, or some things need to be deleted).
On the right side of Chasm's helm is a small, but deep, dent from where the building fell on him. The dent is sensitive, as when it happened some circuits were welded to his helm. This also means the dent cannot be fixed without causing more damage.
Lastly, his door wings. They are sensitive to noise, and to being touched. Pulling is very painful indeed.
''Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing
Family: Parents only. No known siblings
History: Chasm was an artist before he was an Autobot. He was carefree and easygoing, and so long as he earned enough to keep himself fueled, housed, and a constant stock of paint, he was happy.
When the war first started, he had many bots show up to have the Autobot insignia painted on them, which he would do without a problem. Many had asked him about joining the cause, but his response had always been “Nah. I’d be no good out there. What would I do, paint the ‘cons to death?”
After Optimus sent the message to other Autobots, informing them of Earth, Chasm set off, though he landed a little too far from the other Autobots to make immediate contact. He is just beginning to arrive at the city, after several days of being lost.
Anything Else?: Most-used line is :I swear to Primus, it washes off!"

Custom Title: Comm. Artist!
RP Sample:
The street was quiet, at least as quiet as a neighborhood street could be with kids running around. Parked by the curb was an odd sight for the neighborhood, one that got more than a few stares. An '07 GT500 Shelby Cobra was sitting in front of an abandoned house, no owner in sight. The car was a dark purple, and had gold flames on its hood, as well as along the doors. It had been sitting there since the previous night, unmoving. Every so often, a small, near-inaudiable noise would emit from the hood, much like a sigh.
-Comm. unit Chasm, reporting in.- Bad idea. -The area seems clear of any- An explosion cut off the rest of the transmission as the Cobra was sent flipping through the air, landing on its side. "Owww....That was dumb of me....." Rocking his alt-mode, and using the door he'd landed on, Chasm managed to right himself, but was unable to pick up an energy signature. His comm. radio crackled to life. -Run run run, little Autobrat, as fast as you can.- Laughter followed. That was enough for Chasm. Tires squealing, he floored his gas and took off, breaking every speed law known to man, as well as some traffic laws. The Decepticon police cruiser was not far behind, lights and sirens blaring. Another message was coming through. -Chasm, this is Prowl. What is your status?- Chasm's reply was loud, and oddly cheery. -I'm runnin' from the law!-
