A handsome, dashing, yellow Camero with black racing stripes pulled up to a house he visited almost all the time. Well, lived there actually. he pulled to a gentle stop in the drive way and his holoform, a white blonde young man, in his mid 30s, stepped out, electric blue eyes glinting with amusement as he stepped out of the car that no respectable man in his mid-30s could possibly have, except that the tips of his hair were dyed black, alluding to a childishness that he never outgrew as he walked around.
"Nick? You up?" he called, looking around a little.
He knew his idotic acting son had to be around somewhere, thus the mid-30s look. His son was 14; mid-30s was neither too young or too old to have a 14 year old son. He smiled a little as he thought about his double-edged blessing; Nick.
He always called Nick that, though in all warmth and love.

Nick was up in his treehouse. The very same treehouse that had been built with the combined forces of his Father, Uncle Sam, and Nick himself when Nick was about six. The idea of Bumblebee helping to build a treehouse now was humerous to Nick, but he was pretty sure he had insisted in helping. After all, it had been for him.
Speak of the devil, was all he could think as he stopped playing his guitar, and heard Bumblebee call out to him. Was he back already? Then again he guessed the NEST Base wasn't a far drive for the Transformers. He smiled a bit, setting his guitar down, he climbed down from the tree. Walking towards his Father in the driveway.
"Hey Dad." He greeted with the usual hug, which he broke off from after a few moments "You're back from NEST a bit early." He noted.

Bee hugged his son back before releasing him, reluctantly. He smiled a little and nodded. "Yep, I'm home early. More like, used my cute and adorableness to get out of a very boring meeting that I can be filled in on later," he stated with a very young grin.
He was odd, really.
He could be a father, he was a times a father, but he was also the best friend. That...and he was just so protective of his son. It was only when he was older that the holoform wasn't the only way to hug his Nick and Bumblebee suddenly ruffled Nick's hair, to rid himself of his serious thoughts that he was having.
"So, where were you? I just did a quick scan,so I wasn't sure if you were in the house or in the other house," he stated with a grin, before looking around slightly.
A quick scan didn't mean much these days.

"Oh I was in the treehouse, playing some music." Nick smiled, he had great news to tell his Dad. But he wasn't sure how great he'd find it. Even though his Father was very supportive "Matt got us a gig two weeks from now. " He then added "The only thing is it's on a weeknight... So... Uh... I know the rules, but can we drop them just once."
He then sighed slightly, leaning against his Father's alternate mode, he stared at his Father calmly. There was more as well, mostly to do with school though. And it wasn't required, but what he was going to ask was something that meant a lot to him. "And there's gonna be a parent meeting for Choir next Monday. Think you can make it?" He asked.
Bumblebee had had to miss the last two parent meetings for Choir for obvious reasons. Mostly work, but he figured with the work load lightening, he may be able to make this one. Of course, if not, Sam was always happy to take him. But it would be nice to actually have his Dad for once.

Bumblebee looked thoughtful. Dropping his thoughts, he sighed. "All right...just this once, for now," he responded, knowing it would happen again, most likely.
But...he could let it slid. He looked over at his son and smiled a little. He knew of that, though looked up slightly at the inquiry. Next Monday?
He looked thoughtful and nodded. "I'll warn you if something pops up to stop me, either through text or something similar. For now, consider me there," he responded with a warm grin before pulling his Nick into a one armed embrace.
A parent meeting. He could do that. "I can see this going well...what's the cover story of why I haven't been there before? I don't know if we ever came up with one or something," he added with a small smile.

"Sweet!" Nick grinned a bit, his Dad was usually resonable but not often when it came to that stuff. He let him do it a few times but not often.
Nick chuckled a bit, and thought. He guessed he forgot to tell Bumblebee most of his High School knew he was his son. It was kind of hard not to know, after all, in High School word spread fast of oddities. "I'm at a different school this year, remember? Freshman Year?" He chuckled "Besides, almost everyone knows... I don't know why, but somehow word got out. Maybe Chris let it slip." He shrugged "But, that's great. You haven't been there since sixth grade." He stated.
"So, do you want to go out and do something?" Nick asked, curious. They hadn't had a lot of Father-Son time lately. Unlike when he was younger and he was practically attached to his Father's hip.

Bumblebee's hologram tinged a little in embaressment. He completely forgot about the fact that had slip. Which. of course, made him worry worry about someone getting Nick. His alt mode suddenly shuddered and he looked over at his son, eyes worried before slowly nodding. "Yeah...but you don't get to drive. Not after last time," he stated, then shuddered from the memory.
Oh, yes. He did not want a repeat of when Nick was 13 and screaming, 'we're gonna die'.
Never...again.
The passenger door suddenly swung open and he nodded toward the door. "You can choose, but now way in the Pit are you going to drive again," he stated, his hologram sitting down in the driver's seat.

"Don't worry Dad, the Decepticons are gone right?" Nick asked, shaking his head, then thought. There were still anti-Autobot, and anti-Hybrid groups out there. And he realized that may have been why he was like this. "Don't worry about me Dad, no one would try to hurt me." He tried to tell him as a means to calm him down "They'd be too scared of what you'd do with them if they did."
Nick sighed, and nodded as Bumblebee told him there was no driving for him. He thought for a moment before saying what he said next. "Fine, but I turn 15 next year. I'll be old enough to get a permit." He then asked the big question "You'll teach me how to drive right?" He opened Bumblebee's passengers side door and climbed into, pulling on his seatbelt.

Bumblebee looked over at Nick.
No, the Decepticons would never be gone, not in the way Bumblebee hoped. Oh, he wanted them to be gone, with all of his being, but he knew they wouldn't. Even as he tried to cling to the ideal that they would one day, be gone for good, he knew he shouldn't. "Sure. But, I can't kill humans...Optimus's orders. Of course, I can scare the bejeebers out of them," he stated and smiled as Nick got in.
Of course, his engine stalled at the thought of driving.
"Of course I'll teach you. Why wouldn't I? One time screaming, 'oh dear Primus we're all going to die' and 'jump out of the way' and 'no, don't run over the cat' wasn't good enough. We need to do it again," he joked softly toward the end before backing out of the driveway.
"Where do you want to go?" he asked afterwards, wondering if some of the old lullabies would still work.
Then he could keep him asleep until he was 30...maybe.

"You can hurt them though, I seem to remember when a few of those anti-Technos went after Chris... Optimus practically broke their leader like a twig." Nick commented, it was parental instinct. If you saw a man go after your child with a weapon, you waste no time to protect them.
"That's why you're teaching me Dad." Nick laughed lightly "So that I can be a better driver. But I could always as Uncle Sam." He knew Bumblebee would not react well to that. Sam hadn't driven himself in so long he wasn't the best driver, or anywhere so much as close to it.
He thought for a moment, thinking of where they could go. His thoughts went to his favorite spot, the old Lookout. "Why don't we go the lookout, you can stretch a little." He added.

The screech of brakes as he suddenly put on the brakes, creating black marks on the street before driving on, despite the honking. "Sam cannot drive. I always have driven, since we met. He's out of practice. Bring it up again, and I will insure you do not pass your driver's tests, got it? I shall teach you and I won't scream..unless you try to drive me off a cliff," Bee stated, though he had no responce for the harming allowed thing.
Because he knew it wasn't allowed, despite wanting to crush them all.
He sighed as he drove along and nodded. "We haven't been there in awhile. Might be good for us," he answered and began to weave toward the Look-out.

"You're way too easy to trick into doing things, you know that?" Nick teased lightly, getting out of his Father's driver's seat as they reached the Lookout. He sighed, stretching a bit, and looking over at Bumblebee "I wasn't really going to ask Uncle Sam, I was just pointing out he was really my only other option. Seeing as Aunt Mikaela rides Motorcycles and you've forbidden me from them."
Nick first looked around for a moment, then turned, to nod at him. "You're good to Transform Dad, no one around to see you." He explained, putting his hands into his pockets.

Bumblebee's engine rumbled softly. He knew he should grow a backbone about it, as humans put it, but he didn't feel like working at the moment.
He shifted and slowly parked on the Lookout, before letting Nick out. He shifted back slightly and at the 'okay' swiftly transformed with the ease of practice. He stretched out his legs and rolled his foot around before just streatching out. He let out a soft circulation from his vents and smiled a little.
He kneeled down and hled out his hand. "Want a lift?" he asked, with a small smile.

Nick smiled a bit before nodding and stepping onto Bumblebee's hand. His Father's shoulder had always been Nick's favorite spot since he was a little kid. When he was young, whenever Bee brought him by NEST he'd always be found on Bumblebee's shoulder. "You know me, asking isn't even needed." He joked.
He sat on his Father's open palm, preparing to be lifted to his shoulder in the normal seated position. He looked out towards the city, you could see so much there, it was almost hard to believe. "We haven't done this in a while." He mused, shaking his head "Not that I'm complaining, I know you're work comes first." He added quickly, not wanting Bee to feel bad.
"You've been more protective of me lately." Nick commented, having noticed, but not knowing of the Decepticon related rumors art all "Is everything ok?" He asked.

Bumblebee chuckled a little and gently lifted Nick up to his shoulder. It was one of his favorite things to let Nick do and he settled back slightly onto his feet before Nick's question nearly sent him falling over.
He looked at Nick and let him explain, before the soft circulation of vents indicated a sigh. He looked at Nick and shook his head. "No...and yes, I have been more protective lately," he responded slowly, as if trying to find out how to explain.
He looked around and half-wished that the world was as peaceful as this place looked. He wondered, for a moment, before smiling a little at Nick, then letting it fall.
"There have been rumors of Decepticons coming back...of a new war starting. We aren't really sure, thus the influx of meetings. I'll probably drag Sam and Mikaela down to the parent meeting too...possibly," he explained slowly, knowing this could have been explained a bit better, but Bumblebee wasn't really one for dancing around the issue at hand.
And Nick had a right to know why Bumblebee's protectiveness had launched to all new levels of protectiveness that Sam hadn't seen since the Decepticons were trying to kill him.
