Trying something new

Four years had passed, the war had gone down drastically in the eyars so it was a time to cut loose and try something different for a change. That was on the young Autobot racer's mind as forest green and black Gallardo drove down the road not really knowing where hell she was but it didn't matter much. Finally she came to a stop. It was a one of those human collages or tech schools she had heard so much about, maybe she could test out ehr holo-form here.

"These humans at this age like to party, so might as well give it a whirl!" Sidedrift said sounding pleased at the prospect of something new. Driving around the campus she took different scannings of the place to know her way around outside, the inside would have to come next.

After the scanning she drove around for awhile deep in thought of how her holoform should look.What was she suppose to do first any how? Sighing Sidedrift took a short cruise around while trying to think.

Chris was tired, well exhausted really. He had been up late at a party and had just suffered through a good ammount of his classes. Lucky for him though, he was done for the day. He sighed, holding a binder under his shoulder as he walked to the outside of the parking lot. Sideswipe was off somewhere, and he was just slightly bored. "I had better hope he gets here before long, I need to be at a date with Monica in a few hours." He murmured to himself. That was the thing about young marraige, your wives hated it when you missed things like that. Even more so then when you were jus dating.

Sidedrift finally came to a stop in the parking lot but turne doff ehr engine, her holoform stepping out of the car flickering slightly.A few more tries the holoform worked now looking like any average college student.It was 20 year old woman slender and broad-shoudelred.She wore a short sleeve t-shirt that was green with a black panther design ont he front along with dark blue jean capris that appeared to have the Autobot symbol stiched into the knee parts.Sidedrift had olive colored skin and light blue eyes tiwhth short brown hair that spiked up slightly in the back.

Walking up to the campus she began to take a walk and look at it more closely, how the humans would do this was very unusual to the femme but it was also interesting all the same.

Chris continued walking his eyes starting to close when he accidently walked right into some girl. He blinked for a moment, gulping he felt stupid, really stupid actually. A few times he had walked into girls and they had kind of hit on him. There was nothing worse then when you were married and a girl hit on you. But with any luck this wouldn't be one of those times. "Oh sorry..." He commented to the girl.

Sidedrift almost lost her balance but only flickered slightly before returning back to normal,"No problem!" She said too quickly.Glancing at Chris she hope dhe hadn't seen the holo-form flicker which would be very bad if he had! "I'll try to watch where I'm going next time." She promised picking up the hologram textbooks she had.This was more then embarressing!It was humiliating!Already the first try of acting human and she was already making a complete fool of herself and not to mention running into someone!

Chris had to raise an eyebrow the voice of this girl sounded oddly familliar. He almost asked but figured he'd sound like a total moron. He did his best to try and keep his connection to the Transformers a bit of a secret. If not, being Optimus Prime's son there was no doubt he'd be hounded every day by Autobot fans. "You look familliar, are you in one of my classes?" He questioned, figuring that had to be it.

Sidedrift looked back at Chris trying to think of how to answer him but thought that would be simple. "No,but I think I've seen you around campus a few times maybe that's why. I'm not much of a talker though so you won't really hear much from me." Strangely Sidedrift found that easy enough to say, maybe it was getting easier to act human. "I'm sort of taking alot of erm...science and mathematics classes, if your taking any I might be in one of them but like I said I don't talk much so I don't know." She said with a shrugg.

"Nah, I'm mostly in Astronomy classes... I want to be like..." Chris bit his lip, damn he almost said 'My Dad' "A little Mechanics too, but I'm really interested in the stars. Mostly because I was sort of born with an interest you could say." His eyes strayed, and he noticed the Lambo Gallardo. Those colors, wait, what the heck was Sidedrift doing there? "I thought they'd tell me they'd call before they randomly showed up at my school." He murmured.

Sidedrift's eyes flashed to her alternate mode and back to Chris so she decided to play it dumb. "Wished who would call before what?" She asked curiosuly. Alright so now she knew one thing, this was the boss man's son so that was established. Wait!The stars might be a distraction! "The stars huh? I have the same interest but I decided to try something different for once. I mgiht try astronomy next year as an extra class maybe." She said.

Chris jumped a bit as she asked what he meant, looking at her, and trying to be innocent. But he decided to just be honest. "My family... I told them that I'd prefer them not to show up at my school without warning." He then added, shaking his head "At least it's not my Dad though, he shows up without notice practically three times a month." He then shrugged "Parents." He sighed shaking his head "It's pretty cool, boring at times though."

"Yea parents can be a reall pain in the neck, especially moms alot they worry way too much. Dads too, but it's different for everyone." Sidedrift said glad she had learned something from being around humans. But she shrugged, "As for the stars I always find them interesting. You enver know what may be there." She said. Her eyes again strayed to her alternate form, the holo-form didn't have long ebfore it did vanish compeltely and at on point it flickered.

When the girl spoke his eyes turned to the point he didn't even notice the flickering. The mention of Mother's was just... Hard. Chris would never know that because he didn't have a Mom to act that way. He shook his head slightly. "I wouldn't know about that, Mom died when I was a little kid." He admitted "They are interesting, it's the teacher who's boring."

"Oh I didn't know, Sorry about that." Sidedrift said regrettign bringing the subject up and she wasn't the one to be talking."And who needs a teacher? When your stuck some palce for so long you learn it yourself, it's not hard, you jsut need to look past your nose. It's actulally helpful after a long day someitmes even after a battle...."Clamping jer mouth shut Sidedrift gulped. Now she really would blow it!

"It's ok I haven't had the most normal life... My life's... Complicated." Chris commented, shaking his head. When she said battle he stared at her then at the car. He made the connection at once. "Sidedrift, what the heck are you doing here?" He commented, looking around for people "You know if anyone sees you even so much as flicker my cover as a normal student is blown!" He said as quietly as he could.

Crap!"I was just checking this college thing out, you know just mingle alittle. But seeing you here isn't exaclty helpful either!"Sidedrift retorted quietly. "How was I suppose to know you went to college here." She added. In fact who would trust her to even be watching over a techno-organic, especially when it w Optimus's son? Since ehr arrival to NEST she had been on and off missions or always disobeying a direct order, so she wasn't nessicarily the most reliable transformer. She rolled her eyes, "And since when,Chris, has NEST or your father or any Autobot trusted me to do anything these days at all?" She asked quietly.
