Chris sighed, he was outside his house. A basketball hoop had been hung over the garage which he often used to practice. The basketball season was coming up, and so it was time to practice. He sighed, doing a layup for the upteenth time. He took a deep breath, he was worn out, and therefore, chose to take a small break.
"Damn, I've got to get myself back into shape." Chris muttered to himself "Or I'm never gonna be ready for the new season." He sighed, taking out a bottle of water, he drank from it, sitting on top of his basketball calmly and watching the street.

Optimus didn't really like lurking outside the homes of unsuspecting humans; it was very much like a Decepticon and not befitting the leader of the peaceful Autobots at all. Still, the situation was somewhat awkward. Prime's intentions, as always, were entirely noble. He had come here to have a much-needed reunion with his techno-organic sons, though as they had both been young when they had been sent back to earth...He wasn't sure they would remember.
Chris was probably old enough to, but that left David out of the loop..as well as the humans who were currently taking care of them.
Though, Optimus supposed it was better for him to show up than Megatron. That was another reason he was here, naturally. As the compassionate creature he was, Prime would be hanging out on earth around as many humans who were in danger as possible. Add that to the fact he was also a worried parent in this scenario, and Chris had his own personal stalker. Not in the bad way, of course. Primus knew Optimus felt guilty just watching when Chris was unaware, anyway.
Thus, he managed to persuade himself to move forward a little- not right in front of the home, but close enough to be seen. Then, for lack of a better way to get his attention without panicking any other humans, Optimus blared his horn.
That was bound to get his attention- and Prime would apologize for such an impolite manner soon enough.
((bleh, lol my first posts are always so darn awkward.))

Chris's head shot up at the sound of an engine. He blinked for a moment, it looked like... No, it couldn't be, could it? He swore he had seen Prime a few times. As a hologram in the audience at a few of his basketball games, driving down the street once or twice, but nothing more then that. But he had never tried to get his attention if it had been Optimus.
However, this time, he just had that feeling. Exactly the same feeling he had when he was a toddler. He practically bolted towards the Peterbuilt. "DAD!?" He commented, forgetting his basketball for a moment "Oh my-.... Holy... What are you doing here?"

Optimus felt a sense of relief as Chris recognized him. He had suspected the older of the two boys would have been able to, but there had been certain room for doubt. It had been a while, and who knew what could have happened to memory circuits over that time.
"I'll gladly explain", Prime began, opening one of his doors. "However, I think this is a conversation best saved away from prying eyes and ears."
It would probably seem strange for Chris to be talking to an unmanned truck in the middle of this neighborhood, but this was also a precaution to avoid Decepticons. You never knew when they were around. Primus, they even had pretenders on their sides.
Plus, this would allow for some family bonding time.
"Don't worry, I'll get you back home before you're missed."

Chris grinned, climbing inside of Optimus's cab calmly. He took a seat in the passengers seat, he pulled the seatbelt on him. "I'd go get David. But he and Uncle Richard went out to the movies and then to do some bonding." Chris explained, vouching for his younger brother.
He sighed, leaning into the comfortable seats of his Father's interior. he hadn't ridden in Optimus in a very long time, and he had almost forgotten how welcoming it was. "So you can keep me as long as you want." He commented "Or at least for several hours." He left out the fact their maternal aunt had passed on a few months ago. Feeling no need to bring that up.

As soon as Chris buckled his seat belt, Prime closed the door and started down the road. The Autobot leader wasn't going to take Chris that far away, just to a familiar hill where Sam had told them they could transform without causing too much problem. Optimus probably wouldn't transform to robot mode unless they had ample time, but he intended to pull there and park; where he could sit idly for a little while without anybody becoming suspicious.
"How is the young boy doing?" Prime wished to know, given the fact David was just as much a part of the extended family as Chris was. That they had enough time to do some catching up was a very welcoming thought, and Prime felt himself relaxing a little..though he still knew to be vigilant.
"And how have you been?"

Chris thought of the best way to put the situation currently. Scratching his head a little, he came up with the best way. "David's good, a bit shy... And he's picked on a lot. But don't worry, I'm watching out for him." He kne what his Father was like with bullying he didn't stand for it "But he's doing good in school, for the most part."
He crossed his arms slightly. "I've been good, practicing for the new basketball season. I mean it's my Senior Year, I need to work for a scholarship and all." He explained calmly, then smiled slightly "But I guess you'd know that. I noticed your hologram in the stands a few times." He then chuckled "But only because I remembered what it used to look like."

Optimus sighed at the mention of bullying. Humans and Transformers were alike in so many respect, and the self-proclaimed 'stronger' kids who picked on the 'weaker' ones reminded him so much of the Decepticons. To an extremely minor degree, of course. Prime hoped that no humans had ever been like his brother Megatron, though the organic's history held traces of rare cases he could truly begin to compare.
"Look out for your brother", Optimus advised, though he knew Chris was already doing so. " I do not know what the cause of the problem is, but it should be ended without having to resort to violence."
If only the Transformers could solve their problems in a peaceful manner. Unfortunately, it was one of those things where a diplomatic solution seemed impossible. Human bullies in school, however, were another story. And at least David wasn't allowing it to slow him down, a sign of perseverance.
Optimus chuckled a little himself. So chris had seen him?
"You remember that much?"
It warmed his spark to know he wasn't entirely forgotten.

Chris smiled a bit, then sighed. Biting his lip, how did he tell Prime why David was picked on. "Well it's mostly because he's kind of... Smart." He commented "They consider him a geek."
He then laughed, did Optimus actually think he'd forget what his own Father looked like. "Of course I did Dad." He grinned a little "I got to admit, it's kind of cool you took time out of working with NEST to... You know, come to a few games." He thought for a minute "I wouldn't think you'd have had time."

Registering the comment about why David was the subject of ridicule, Prime couldn't help but be confounded. So..other kids bullied him simply because he was intelligent? Optimus could barely understand the logic there, humans were so confusing sometimes. Still, it wasn't his place to judge. All manner of creatures did strange things at times, Transformers included.
Optimus had been about to comment on this, but it seemed wasted effort. Chris would take care of his brother, and according to the human world wide web, most young bullies changed their way with ages. And if he had Chris looking out for him, Prime was confident that David would come out just fine.
"I always have time for family", Prime spoke warmly. "As the world wide web says, a good father makes time for his children..."
Optimus's work was important of course, and it was a topic that probably should be brought up. Concerns had to be addressed.
"But, there is another reason Chris..And it may be a little hard to hear."
He didn't want to scare the boy, but he had a right to know about the concerns his father had.

Chris smiled slightly, he supposed that was true. He understood that Optimus probably wanted to be in his and David's lives. He had had, and raised them for a few years. And though he had to give them up, he didn't want to not be there in their lives in some ways. "Yeah, I guess you're right." He nodded calmly "You always were the type of Dad who liked to be there whenever he could."
When Optimus told him there was more going on, he felt a bit tense. He knew what that meant, or at least what it implied. Something was going on with the Decepticons. "Does it have to do with Uncle Megatron?" he asked.

(lol forgive my bad postings. I've like totally lost my Optimus muse everywhere I play him. It's incredibly sad.)
Of course he was the type to be there; Prime was there for nearly everybody as they needed it. He'd more than likely spread himself as thinly as possible if multiple sources required his presence, and normally, that did tend to end up happening. Especially in times of war. Prime had wanted to enjoy peace following the death of the Fallen, but he knew better than to anticipate things would be quiet for very long. As long as Megatron continued to pursue his goals and existed, relaxation was impossible for extended periods of time.
Prime didn't really need to reiterate the fact it was indeed Megatron that prompted a bit of uneasiness, as it was more than likely very obvious. Still, it had to be said. Anybody and everybody in harm's way had a right to know, of course. Optimus intended to do whatever it took to stop Megatron and his Decepticons, and at whatever cost. He didn't plan on letting his brother get very far into his schemes, but that didn't mean he shouldn't say anything at all. True, it might give way to some cause for panic, but there were rules to abide by here. Better to be as prepared as possible, than to run the risk of an innocent life being at stake due to a lack of information.
"Yes," he finally replied, stopping at the designated hillside. " I fear he will soon return."

Chris got out of Optimus calmly as he came to a stop, getting the feeling he planned to Transform. He crossed his arms slightly, and looked at Optimus, he didn't like where this was going. "Ok, but how does this involve me?" He asked calmly as he could "He hasn't really threatened me before."
He clearly did not understand the full danger of the situation, which really was not a good thing. He sighed, and looked at Optimus, running a hand along his hood briefly. "Dad, what aren't you telling me?" he questioned.

Prime sighed a little, pulling back a few feet so that he could transform to robot mode without running the risk of hitting Chris. Truth be told, the boy and all humanity was constantly in danger so long as Megatron continued to function and retain his hatred of them, but up until recently Chris had been right- he hadn't been at more risk than anybody else.
"He has a new plan..One that seems to make obtaining techno-organics a necessity."
He needn't go any further just yet. Chris was smart enough to make the connection there, and now understand the danger he was in. Prime wasn't sure just where his brother was yet, but Primus help him if he got within any inch of the boy. Optimus would do more than rip half of his brother's face off, if Megatron continued to insist on putting the earth and his allies in danger .

"So they... Want us?" Chris's muscles firmly tightened, now he was scared. When Megatron wanted something, there was usually no stopping him. The mere thought that he was in that kind of danger made his stomach tigthen.
But at the same time, he knew Optimus wouldn't let anything happen to him or David. He had seen his Father angry before, and he could only imagine what he'd be like if his children were threatened. He could whoely imagine, it wouldn't be very pretty at all. "What can I do to help? If I can help at all I mean?" He questioned.
He had a feeling Optimus would not want him involved in any way other then keeping safe. However, he hated feeling useless, he was seventeen, in a year he'd legally be an adult. He didn't want to just be a little kid who did nothing like he was when he was five years old.
