Monica smiled as she listened to Chris. His family was very much like the saying 'It takes a village to raise a child.' "It must be nice knowing you have so many people that care about you and are willing to protect you." she commented.

"Yeah it is nice, though it's hard to get used to the overprotectiveness at times." Chris nodded slightly, looking at Monica "But I guess it's for my own good really. I can be... Reckless at times." Like he even needed to tell Monica, he was sure she was already aware of this.

Monica nodded, understanding how Chris felt about his over protective family. It had to be difficult. " You're reckless?! Since when?!" she said, being playfully sarcastic. Monica smiled. She loved goofing around with him.

"Oh since five minutes ago." Chris rolled his eyes in a joking manner. He then bit his lip and looked at her calmly. They still had to talk about one thing. "Look, Monica, about that... Kiss..." He began, unsure of how to talk about this.

Monica released a small sigh. This was the conversation they had both been avoiding in a way, she guessed. She wasn't gonna avoid it any longer though since Chris brought it up. "Yeah?" she replied calmly.

Monica couldn't help smiling slightly. She wished he wouldn't think she took great offense from the kiss. "Really, Chris, it's okay, I understand and I know you wouldn't." she replied. The reason she didn't want to talk about it was because she didn't know how he felt about her. She didn't want to make a fool of herself by telling him how she felt first.

"Yeah, I mean... It's not like either of us... Felt... Magic..." Chris bit his lip "Like we were on cloud nine... Like..." He seemed to drift off. However, he bit his lip even tighter. He was going to fight this he was too scared to say it, way too scared.

"Like it was the best thing in the world that you'd ever experienced?" Monica said without thinking it through. After those words left her mouth, Monica felt her face get hot. She couldn't believe she'd just said, more or less, that she liked Chris. She stared at her shoes, waiting for Chris's reaction.

"Yeah, I mean we both didn't feel... Anything like that... I think we can... Agree." Chris felt his facce going bright red. Chris was a lot of things, a good student, the class validictorian, the son of Optimus Prime. But when it came to girls and their feelings he was clueless.

Hearing his response, Monica suppressed a chuckle. Chris always had been a bit clueless when it came to girls. Already having said it once, she decided to take a risk and tell him. "Really?" she said, looking up at him.

"Ok, you want the truth? I've been completely and totally... In love with you since the day we met in Kindergarden." Chris said finally, he bit his lip even harder after this. What would she think of that? I mean, could she actually ever feel that way... About someone who was... Half machine? Who's family was giant robots? He didn't know, and that's what scared him.

At that, Monica was a bit surprised, she had felt the same way. At the same time she felt like saying 'that's nice' and leaving. She didn't know how many more times she could say it. Becoming a bit stressed she walked over to Chris and put her hands on his shoulders. "Don't you get it, Chris? The feelings are mutual!" she replied. " I've been the same way since Kindergarten too." she added.

Chris was a bit surprised at the way Monica had just come right up and said that. He really had had a bad feeling the machine thing would make love impossible for her. "You mean to tell me... Even knowing I'm half machine... And my entire family are giant robots... You love me?" He asked.

"Chris, I loved you before I knew all that and knowing it now doesn't change anything." Monica replied, truthfully. She was a tad bit annoyed that he'd think that such superficial things would make her feelings change. When you really loved somebody, you didn't mind. You knew loving that person, you'd have to take all the things that came with them and that's how she was.
