The loud murmur of a v8 engine broke the silence that had washed over the night and approached the hill. Scorched, blackened trenches littered the ground around him. This must be where they landed at. And where the signal came from. thought Hammerfist to himself. But none of them are here. Am I late? he added. He continued to idle in vehicle mode to see if any other Autobots would show up.
However, he soon grew impatient. Gears whirred and whined as metal plates began to slide around and fold around metal limbs as his thick, humanoid figure became more apparent until parts locked in place and he rose to his full height. Confused, he looked around with a pair of eyes that looked stacked on top of one another, scanning for any signatures of any kind. Autobots? Well, it'd be nice to be welcomed by a friendly face. Decepticons? He certainly wouldn't object to a warm-up.
Humans? Well...he'd be hard pressed to explain himself if any of them showed up.

Chris sighed, he was at the lookout, just enjoying some alone time. Sideswipe had agreed to allowing him some alone time for a little bit as long as he told him where he was going. He was brought out of his thoughts when he heard someone transforming. Had Sideswipe already decided to come pick him up. He stood up slowly, and turned, it wasn't Sideswipe, but it was to his relief, an Autobot. "Oh hey." He put his hands in his pockets casually, not freaking out like most humans would "Newcomer?" He questioned.

Hammerfist stood still for a moment. The voice behind him was clean, with no metallic ring to it like an Autobot or a Decepticon. Had a human already stumbled upon him? And why wasn't he scared? To size the situation up, Hammerfist turned around and looked down at the human who spoke to him.
"I came in response of a distress call from somewhere in this area." he said, with a voice thick in both a metallic ring and Norwegian accent. "But there is nobody here but you, and you don't seem shocked by my presence like any other human would be."

Chris chuckled a bit, then looked up at him. He guessed it may have been one of the recent Decepticon attacks. "Nothing has been happening lately... There was some action earlier tha may have ben it." He then added with another chuckle "Well I'm not surprised, not when my Dad's one of you." He then said with a nod "Chris Stratos, son of Optimus Prime at your service."

Hammerfist put his hands on his hips with a soft clang. "Of course I show up after all the fighting's through. Almost didn't even make it to the states...Couple of no-name Decepticons tried sinking my boat. Then I..." He stopped when he heard the words "Dad's one of you" and "Son of Optimus Prime", Almost skipping over the registering of his name.
"Y...You're human though. And Optimus is...." His two mechanical eyes widened as an expression of surprise. "I'm not even sure how that'd work..." Hammerfist shook his head. "Anyways, that story can be saved for another time. The name's Hammerfist." he said.

"Oh, more like cyborg then human. I'm half robot, half human." Chris explained shaking his head "I couldn't give you the full story, I never asked how it works... I really didn't want to hear how a robot and human conceived... Personally." He explained, telling him calmly "Nice to meet you though Hammerfist." He commented with a small nod.

"In all honesty, I don't think a robot and human -could- conceive..." he said. "And maybe some things are better left unknown." he added. More gears whirred quietly as he looked around for a moment, then back at Chris. "It's a relief to meet someone who doesn't turn tail and run off, screaming like a banshee." said Hammerfist.
"Question though. If the Autobots aren't here, then do they have a place to go? Or do they just remain hidden in the city until Decepticons rear their ugly mugs?"

"Well the most I know is Dad told me... It had something to do with the holographic humans you guys generate." Chris didn't let Optimus ever get further then that. He had had the talk when he was younger, and he was sure he knew the rest. "Yeah, they have a place to go, NEST. It's up in New Jeresy, a millitary base basically." He then added "About a couple of hours if you go top speed from here." He knew this by how fast they go there when he was brought there.

"They have their own base? Sounds like the lap of luxury to me." he said. "Most I could ever find back home was some half-destroyed warehouse or snow covered wilderness back home. And it's awful trying to transform, or even run as a vehicle when Hel has her icy grip on all of your mechanical parts." he added, referencing the mistress of the land of ice known as Niflheim in Norse legends.
"I appreciate the directions, and seeing that it's only a two hour drive, I think I'll spoil myself with some of this Californian summer of yours." Hammerfist said with a deep chuckle.

For a second, Chris thought he may have meant Cybertron, but it hit him he had no idea how long Hammerfist had been there. Chances were, he may have been there for a few years for all he knew. "Ah, you're talking about old Norse legends right? I took Mythology in Freshman year." He admitted, shrugging "Ah, the summer's are a lot of fun here... Deffinently warm, needless to say."

If Hammerfist could have smiled, he would have. "Glad to hear you pay attention in school." he said. "Funny thing is, over in Europe, there's a revival of the faith that those legends were built around." he said.
" My drop pod was supposed to land here, but debris in space knocked me off course. Landed all the way in Norway." said Hammerfist. "And while I was gathering knowledge in order to develop speech patterns and personality, I picked up on that little tidbit. The whole thing started back in the '70's"

"Wow, that must have been an amazing place to be... Despite the cold I mean." Chris commented, he had always been a fan of Europe. And at times he liked to imagine going there himself some days. "Personally, I think the Norwegian accent is pretty awaesome actually." He admitted.

"The cold doesn't bother me too much. It's just that if I sat still, snow would melt on the warmed up parts, then re-freeze. I would say to keep moving, but that's not easy to do when you have to lay low sometimes."
He nodded at the comment towards his accent. "Thanks. I guess you could call it a rarity, since I'm not aware of any other Norwegian-based Autobots."

"Yeah, I've heard some strange accents from you guys before... But not Norweigan." Chris commented, looking up at him "You know it's funny..." He mentioned at random "You know, I think you're the first Autobot who didn't know who I was." He then added "I know, random, but that just hit me randomly I guess."

"Well, it's not every day you run into someone claiming to be the son of Optimus Prime." Hammerfist said. "Plus, there weren't any other Autobots in Norway that I know if to fill me in on Prime being a father. But you know where the other Autobots are, so it's safe to say that however unlikely your story might seem, is true."
