Interceptor was sitting on the bot-sized couch in the lounge slightly slouched with a focused yet dazed look on his face. He'd been thinking about the bond he and his adoptive son Adam seemed to share on and off this past week or so. He wasn't sure who to talk to about it at first, but of course, Interceptor felt most comfortable asking KITT or Ratchet their opinions on the matter. He knew the real techno organics had creation bonds with their Dads, but Adam was not a techno organic. He was simply a human. At times, Interceptor seemed to think their bond was just as strong, but they did not share all aspects that the techno's or typical sparklings had. He always seemed to sense when something was out of the norm for Adam, including danger, on most occasions, even if it turned out to be just an accident or incidient.
When he asked KITT about it, KITT honestly said he didn't have a clue. When he'd asked, Mike and Sarah were hanging around, and Mike and Sarah decided it's best they tell him because of what happend to Adam and that Interceptor had no obvious recollection of 'these reasons' that apparently may exist. And they DID exist all right.
Basically, Interceptor DID share some traits (including personality and brain waves, etc) that Adam's other father had. So the bond that grew since Interceptor helped free Adam from the black market and then later fill out the official adoption papers made perfect sense...he just wondered how Adam would react now, and how the heck he was going to tell him so he could understand, belive it, and not freak out... "How on Earth am I gonna tell him somethin like this?"he muttered, briefly rubbing his forehead.

Adam was still worn out from the night before, it had been so much fun. Christmas with the Autobots the first year was just... It was amazing to him, not much different from regular Christmas, but still a whole lot of fun. He smiled lightly, riding his brand new bike given to him for Christmas by Interceptor into the hangar, he came to a stop, using the kickstand to keep it level and removing his helmet.
Noticing Interceptor Adam smiled lightly, setting the helmet on the handlebar, he walked over calmly. Walking over very calmly to talk to his Dad. "Hey Dad!" He shouted, waving a bit "What's up, you look like somethings on your mind?" He said, seating himself down on the couch next to Interceptor calmly.

Interceptor glanced over at Adam and nodded."Hey kiddo."he greeted."Yeah, actually. You see, I've been doing a lot of thinking, and have had some suspiscions on these things, so to speak...I went to go talk to KITT about it, but KITT had no suggestions or guesses, so then I went to ask Mike and Sarah...and let's just say Mike had some interesting answers."Interceptor paused a bit to think further on how he was going to say this.
"Getting right down to the point...when your father died, he was not lost completely. You see, Mike told me they managed to salvage some of his personality and brain waves in my processor. They did this in the early development stage so they coud preserve it as effectively as possible. Well, the transaction worked. Granted, a good portion of my processor and all that other stuff is still the real me, but yeah...apparently I share some of your dad's spirit and personality..."The more he thought about it, reflecting on how he acted and how their bond was, the more it made sense.

Adam had to take that in for a minute, had Interceptor actually just said that? He took that in for a moment, so his Dad had somehow known Mike and Sarah. And somehow, someway, Interceptor was, in his own way, his Dad. Albeit a form of reincarnation, but all the same. Adam had been adopted so young he only vaguely remembered his original Mom or Dad. And hearing Interceptor in all reality was his Dad was almost hard to believe. The Father he had never gotten to know really had been taking care of him over the last two months without him even knowing.
"You're serious, aren't you? You're really... My Dad." He looked forward for a moment. He had to think for a moment before speaking again but looked at Interceptor. "So that's why we have the connection, the one we felt for the first time when we met. You're him saved in the body of an Autobot." He tried to make heads or tails of it. Of course, he'd been put in four years into development, as Adam had been only a few months old at the time of his death. So Adam couldn't be too sure of just how much of his Dad was in Interceptor.

Interceptor nodded slowly. "Yep, that much makes sense to me now, but...how or why no one ever bothered to tell me this before you were found in the black market is beyond me. Maybe they wanted to see how well I'd fare on my own first...I guess if that were the main reason, I wouldn't blame them. I'm just glad we got you out when we did."
He sat back a bit, reflecting on this some. Yeah-this wouldn't change things too much, but at least the moment of truth was over with. Now they just had to adjust to it.

"Yeah, and I'm so glad you were the one that found me. I mean, if we had never met we would have never known." Adam leaned against Inteceptor's side lightly "I got to meet the Dad I never really knew without realizing it. And hey he's now raising me, in a way." He pat Interceptor's leg gently, looking up at him with a smile "Don't beat yourself up about what happened too much though okay? It's not your fault." Adam had a gut feeling that Interceptor did now blame himself for him ending up on the Black Market. Or even worse, blamed himself for him ending up in the hands of KARR. But Adam wanted him to at least know he didn't blame him for any of it.

It was indeed frustrating. He wish he'd known, or that someone had told him. He supposed they thought he'd never meet the actual son, so who knew for sure if that wasn't the answer. He glanced down at Adam, smiling."I'm glad you understand, kiddo. I'll try not to. It's still a bit of a shocker for me as well."he shook his head. "That group amazes me really. Not only did they create me and revamp KITT to where he was worthy of receiving an Autobot form, they managed THIS."he said, pointing to his spark like it was a soul-and in a way it was, but he was mainly doing so in reference to Adam's real father."Life's really took some interesting turns so early on for me...few of which I regret, by the way."Interceptor added as he glanced back down at the 12 year old, still looking quite content.

"They are amazing, that's for dang sure Dad. I mean... I never thought that was possible, but I guess if you guys can exist, anything is possible." Adam smiled up at Interceptor gently, thinking for a moment "And they couldn't have chosen a better person to give my Dad's well... Everything to." He smiled lightly getting closer to Interceptor to where he was sitting against his side. He then added, almost off-handedly. "And what happened was probably supposed to happen in a way, I mean, it can't be coincidence we met up. Or that you answered that comm messgae." He explained, shaking his head.

"For sure. Something like destiny, me thinks."he said, briefly rubbing his chin in a slightly amused tone. Interceptor smiled back, glancing down at Adam, the bright aquamarine optics blinking a bit. This was a whole separate, real reason to call Adam his son, all he knew deep down in his spark that this was only due to the situation and the salvaged parts of his real dad's mind. It was vaguely dissappointing, but not so much in the big scheme of things. He sometimes could hardly get over how small Adam was sitting next to him, and that he'd only grow a couple more feet or so when he matured fully. No matter how the bot looked at it, Interceptor was still thrilled to have a chance to be a dad, to truely matter to someone like this, and would protect him with all his might even if it meant certain death. Few bots so young ever had this kind of chance, and he was not going to fail this kid.
He chuckled slightly. "Here I am making silent oaths to myself about all this all over again."he shook his head, and like Adam, began to wonder just HOW much of his real father's traits he had. He highly doubted it was his hyper, goofy, fun-loving and craving for action self, but who knew really. He just surprised himself with all the moments of mature, calm and cool attitudes he got, even when in battle-he could keep these traits yet still have room to be bouncy and hyper. It was like a juggling act, but it worked great for him for some reason. "And now I'm wondering how much of your real Dad I'm like after all, as I'm sure you are. We might always be left wondering. Neither the schematics or data actually show that amount of detail.-I mean, it was hardly what you'd call data to begin with anyway."he shrugged slightly, leaning back on the couch.

"Yeah, Destiny, and a little divine intervention I think." Adam replied, being Christian, he of course believed that may have had something to do with it. Destiny had done it's course, but in his mind, the big guy upstairs most likely gave them both a little push along the way. That was hsi thought anyway, being raised on the bible he couldn't help but think that.
"I think you're a lot like my Dad, from what I remember of him." Adam replied thinking for a moment and looking down then up "I don't remember a lot, he died when I was I think 9 months old... But Your touch feels a lot like how I remember his being. You also act a lot like him." He shook his head "I know it's a bit confusing, especially that I'd remember after spending most of my life with my adoptive family." He mused.

Interceptor nodded a bit.
Of course, being a bot, he didn't really know much about the higher power which Christians and many other religions the people on this planet believed in (all of course had their own variations depending on the religion). "I see, yes, the fact that intangeable forces may be involved is likely." he replied sincerely. "It's nice to think about, though still surprising."he folded his arms."I'm glad I don't have to wonder about it any more though. Of course, the questions won't stop here, I've still got a lot to learn...about everything. I am after all, one of THE most youngest bots here-my bursts of maturity or whatever the slag you wanna call it sometimes seems like a blessing to me."Interceptor smirked briefly, realizing how many times these qualities saved his aft in battle, along with making important, responsible decisions or moves in general...time and time again, the maturity factor and a few others consistently allowed him to adapt and endure far quicker than most bots his age in human years would. So many different scenarios flashed through his head, including the one where he found adam and managed to free him and escape.
"And now there is little else to do but move onward and adjust. I doubt there's much else. If you've got any other ideas, let me know..."Interceptor added, glancing down at Adam again."I gotta admit it seemed like I nearly had a spark attack when I got the truth, but I'm glad I know now..."

"Sorry if I confused you with that. I was raised in a Christian environment. I'm sure you can understand." Adam commented, smiling gently at him "And even if you still have a lot to learn I understand. And I'll be happy to help with that if you'd like." He added. Adam really didn't mind, he would happily help his Dad if he needed it. After all, why not? He had done a great deal for him, why not return the favor? "Don't worry, I just about had a heart attack myself." He chuckled lightly.

"I definitely will. Honestly I haven't really bothered digging into that kind of stuff yet."Interceptor shrugged a bit, then folded his arms. "Hm, what to do now? Maybe we should celebrate? I've got nothing else to do, and few questions left at the moment. Got any questions left for me?"he inquired, not really knowing what else to say.
He began to wonder about the effects of their bond. Would Adam go through any physical or mental changes? The bot doubted he'd change mentally much. The spiritual changes were already made upon the initial transaction from way back when but...physically, who knew for sure. As far as he knew, only the techno organics had powers, since they were biologically related one hundred percent. Adam was not.

Adam smiled lightly at Interceptor, going out to celebrate sounded fun. It was something to celebrate for more reasons then Intereceptor currently knew. He wasn't sure what he'd tell Intereceptor what he went through with the Dad before him, but now was not the best time that was for sure. "Celebrating sounds fun, what did you have in mind?" He thought for a moment about if he had more questions then shook his head "Nah, not at the moment, but I'll tell you if I think of any." He explained.

Interceptor wasn't aware that Adam's step dad was horribly abusive yet. He did wonder from time to time what he was like, but he had yet to ask about it. The bot figured he'd best not ask for now. "Could go for a drive around the state. Water or land, your choice...could go paint balling or go to a movie, shopping, I'm cool with anything really."
