It was midday in the suburbs, and on a weekend. Children were outside playing in the yards, or in the street. Parents kept a watchful eye on them from the porch of the house, chatting with friends. In front of one house was parked a grey Ferrari with red-tinted windows. The car was not one that was normally seen in the neighborhood, and had been sitting there since before everyone had woken up that morning. No owner had been seen, and the keys were left in the ignition. It seemed like the car had just been abandoned, which seemed slightly unusual. It looked like it was in good condition, despite being an older car, and there weren't fluids pooling up underneath it. Still, it was sitting there for a reason...

Nate was running as quickly down the sidewalk as humanly possible. Ok so maybe a little faster considering Nate wasn't trully human, but then again, Nate didn't know that so there was no way he could be sure. He couldn't remember his past life, his family... He couldn't remember anything. And if he had, perhaps the familliar pressence of his Father, Wildrider would have meant something. The sound of shouting behind him only made him press faster. "SHit, I AM SO SCREWED!" He said, freaking out even more now.

Wildrider heard the shouting, and turned his senses to see what was happening. It was a boy, and it looked like he was getting chased. Interesting. He thought, his holoform appearing, and his body moving forward to get a better look. "Heh, kid runs fast." He thought out loud. "Hey, kid!" Wildrider yelled. "Need some help?" He needed some way to entertain himself.

Nathan saw the man there, at first his brain said to just keep running and ignore him. But it was between the man with the kickass car, or a pissed off bakery owner.. Well anyone could do the math, he was taking his chances. "YES PLEASE!" He opened the back door tossing his backpack in and lept inside, closing the door and buckling in "Hurry and drive please!" He added.

Wildrider hit the gas, lurching forward and quickly picking up speed. "Better hold on." Soon, he was surpassing the legal speed limit, and weaving in and out of lanes, not caring it there was a double-yellow line or not. "So, I'm Wild. What's your name?"

"Nathanial... Nathanial Rider. Call me Nate though, pull a Nathan or a Nathanial, and you are gonna see me very unhappy." Nate replied, clearly hating both forms of his first name, simply choosing to go by Nate for that reason. He sighed with relief once they were out of range and he could no longer hear the shouting. "Thanks for the help dude." He took off his sunglasses calmly wiping them off and for the moment exposing his glazed over eyes.

Wildrider's holoform raised an eyebrow. "Blind?" It triggered something in Wildrider's memory, but he couldn't quite recall what it was. "Well, nice to meet you, Nate." Wildrider's speed continued to increase, and he was mildly surprised that no cops had picked up on him yet. Give them a bit... He thought. "So, what was that all about?"

"Yeah, I'm blind, why? So was my Mom according to Social Services. That's about all I know when it comes to my past too, so don't pry." Nate was very apprehensive about this kind of stuff, way too much so then he liked to admit. The little he remembered about his past, mixed with everything else just didn't help. He sighed a bit when he asked what it was about and thought for a moment. "I stole some bread because I was hungry and had no cash... No big deal really... I was gonna pay them back when I had cash." He was being honest, as that's what he usually did. Though the cash was always left annonymously.

"No reason." Wildrider's holoform frowned a bit. Scaring the kid would be harder than he thought. Then again...
The holoform disappeared, and Wildrider's speed picked up. "So, you homeless or something?" He swerved sharply to the right, passing a semi. "No family?"

"I have a family, a Dad, somewhere in this damn world. Sadly though I never met him, he walked out on my Mom before I was born. He was shipped off to some war far away and he just never came back." Nate sighed a bit, drinking some water as he pulled it from his backpack, sighing a bit. He looked out the window, thinking to himself. "I ran away, I'm not homeless technically. I never use the term." He muttered. He almost looked unaffected by the holform dissapearing, as if it was nothing.

"How come you never tried to find him?" This kid was really holding Wildrider's interest without him having to do something drastic, which was rare. "And what war? I though there's hasn't been a war since those robots came here." He sped around a motorcycle. "Besides, isn't homeless not having a home?"
Sirens started to wail behind them, and flashing lights appeared in Wildrider's rear view mirror. "Finally! Took 'em long enough!" With that, he slammed the gas, going full speed ahead.

"I have been, that's the point of me being on the run." Nate replied, and when he asked what war his head hang. He felt bad for not knowing what war. He had amnesia, and it was impossible for him to remember beyond the basic reason why he left. "I-I don't know... I can only remember little details about my past, it's kind of embaressing. My Mom told me what the war was but I don't know." He didn't reply to the homeless coment, like he said, he didn't want to talk about that. At the sound of sirens and feeling him speeding, he sighed. Hoping he'd speed fast enough so he didn't get landed in Juvie.

Wildrider's frame shuddered as his passenger side bumper clipped a Scion's rear bumper as he maneuvered away from the cop car. "Isn't there a way to fix that?" Wildrider knew that memories in Cybertronians could be replaced with back-ups, but human memories were as foreign to him as the sky. Cars had started to move out of the way as the heard the siren, but not fast enough to avoid Wildrider. "Haha! Now that's a crash!"

"Yeah hypnotherapy, which is not in the budget as I'm a broke runaway." Nate didn't sound to happy about that, as much as he wanted to remember, he couldn't. It just plain sucked, not knowing anything otuside his real name. It really wasn't fair! "Whoa, don't you think you should be more careful, you could expose yourself as a transformer." He noted.

Wildrider laughed. "Its not like it's hidden! My insignia is in plain sight. Besides, where's the fun in staying hidden?" The raised median disappearing, Wildrider sped across, moving into oncoming traffic. "You know, you're remaining pretty calm for a human. Most would have jumped out the door or window by now."
