Governments had already done investigations of their own into the site where the Autobots and the Decepticons duked it out, so most would say there would be no point in looking again. However, robots were much more likely to find anything of use, as they were much more advanced in their techniques. And, in a site where four robots lost their lives, three possibly forever depending on if a medic got to them and tried to figure out a way to bring them back, two already having risen, the single Autobot casualty of that battle, and Megatron, leader of the Decepticons himself. A medic had awakened each of them, of course, and then there were other Decepticons at the bottom of the mass grave the Autobots had made for them, and in due time, a medic would likely go down and revive them. In due time.
However, now was not that time as the black Pontiac Firebird drove onto the street that had been ravaged by Decepticon and Autobot fire, ripping up concrete and its reinforcements. Seeing as the Autobots were already showing themselves off, Recoil figured it wouldn't hurt to transform and investigate on his own. Why bother to conceal yourself when it is likely you will be thought of as one of the human's allies? Instead of one of their enemies. Because, their real allies know the differences, and can easily spot a Decepticon. Still, he stayed in his alternative appearance.
That is why Recoil liked keeping a low profile, and the fact he was a medic. It got him off the battlefield a lot when another was injured, thus keeping him alive.. So, he went ahead and begun to scan, wanting to get a general feel of the area.

Adam sighed, he often came to Mission City to play when he was just plain bored, and in all that time the ten year old was still shocked at all the damage. He had technically snuck off the base and taken a space bridge there for fun, but sadly came dissapointed. There was no one at the playground for once, and thus he found himself on the swingset alone, swinging back and forth. He didn't seem to mind, but in a way looked bored. Sighing he was tossing his baseball up and down when it slipped from his hand, rolling away, he quickly got off the swing and ran for it barely catching it near the sidewalk, he slowly stood and dusted himself off having, having dived for it as it almost hit the road. "Whoa that was close." He sighed in relief, not even noticing the nearby Firebird "Thought I was gonna loose it for a minute there."

Why was his luck so bad that he couldn't discover anything? Oh well, it appeared he would have to go see how the Decepticons in the Laurentian abyss were, and see if he could figure out how to revive any. Well, he was going to go look at it in the future at any pace. But right now, he thought he detected a human near by.
Yes, that was a human, and comparing him to the faces in his database, it seemed that this kid had been spotted a few times, around the Autobot base. Ah, Adam Carter the databases called him. Perfect, he could get some money. He pulled up to the kid, parking near him, and using a hologram to make his Decepticon symbols appear to be Autobot insignia. His holoform fazed in behind Adam, tapping him on the shoulder. Hello. Who are you?

Adam jumped lightly, turning around and seeing Recoil, he had never seen the mech before in his life. Had he, he'd have likely been running away screaming bloody murder by now. Instead he shyly looked at Recoil, confused by his sudden appearence. He looked the mech up and down but saw nothing wrong with him, then looked over at the Autobot shields on him. "Oh, hey, are you an Autobot?" He asked "I'm Adam, Intereceptor's kid.. I was kind of looking for a ride. Boy am I lucky I ran into you! Dad doesn't know I'm here and I was kinda nervous about calling to get a ride back." He then added "Think I can hitch a ride with you?" He was too relieved to even care to ask for a name or anything. Being a little kid he didn't think about that.

It was pretty simple. So much simpler than Recoil expected. Of course you can get a ride back with me. At that point his holoform fazed out as his door opened, the seat leaned forward to give the kid access to the back seat. Hop on in.
He wondered. What was this person's parent like? Still, it would be more than simple enough to capture him. All he had to do was get the kid inside him, and run. All the money he could get, it would be dependent upon one person, and one thing. How much this kid's father was willing to pay for his safe return. He didn't know Interceptor, so he could not attest to it, either way. But, there would no doubt at least be a little money coming his way. Possibly even a test subject, but only if he did not get paid his ransom.

Adam was, being a little kid, completely unaware that the second he got into the backseat he'd find himself held by the holoform and being driven off to the Decepticon base. If he knew he wouldn't have every walked over, never have gotten right into the backseat like he did and sat down on the nearest seat calmly. "Thanks! You're doing me a huge favor." He said with a smile, unaware that's likely what Recoil should hae been saying. He was ready to buckle in when they started driving, as he did normally and sighed "I won't get in trouble this way. If I'm not home by 6 at least I won't get in trouble for missing curfew." He noted.

Recoil actually started laughing as is seat belt hooked itself up, and his door shut. This was the first time a kid actually got into him on their own, and as such, he went ahead and cut off the holograms hiding his Decepticon insignia. He didn't much need it anymore, as his prisoner couldn't escape.
Oh, don't worry. You aren't going to be in trouble for missing your curfew. You already are, since you were stupid enough to climb into a Decepticon. Recoil just could not help but rub it in sometimes, the way he was. Oh well, this kid would make a nice hostage, and that's all that counts.

Adam felt the seatbelt around his waist, and he didn't even need to be told what was happening now. He knew he had been abducted, there was no possible other explanation. Tons of things went through Adam's mind now, but he knew what he had to do. Of course, he wasn't good with stranger danger, but he was positive he kne what to do now. Opening his mouth he let out an ear piercing scream, beating at the window. "HElP! SOMEBODY HElP ME!" He shouted.

Oh shut up, that's not going to do you any good. Just to emphasize the point, his holoform fazed in, slapping a piece of tape over his mouth. Why? He didn't feel like waiting for the kid to shut up, and he didn't really feel like listening to a kid whining for a while. It would just get boring real fast.
Recoil was already driving through the city, moving so that he could avoid a lot of traffic. Which was difficult. Very difficult, but he did find a few places to cut through, managing to avoid scratches. He was also moving as fast as he could.

Adam was about to start screaming again anyway when he saw the holoform phase in and tape his mouth shut. He groaned and reached for the tape quickly, hoping to get it off, even though he was sure now that Recoil could hold him still or bind him. "What do you want with me!?" He shouted, though muffled, through the tape, kicking out at Recoil's holoform in fear.

What do I want? I want to ransom you off of course. Recoil could not have said it any more easily than that, not if he thought about it or what. Besides, there was only one reason that most of the time he would have thought about doing so. It was truly due to that one purpose, and why not? He wouldn't get into trouble, he would get in trouble for the fact he had lately been AWOL though, or, as it was, Absent Without Official Leave. He did it so often, he didn't really care anymore, just that he did it. He hated being locked up. Now, who is your Autobot contact?

Adam didn't like how being ransomed off sounded, but at least it meant he'd eventually be returned. His eyes wavered slightly, looking at him with a look of fear, tears already heavily stung his eyes. He was trembling and trying his best not to go into shock. Clearly he was absolutely terrified about this entire situation. "M-My Dad's Interceptor..." He coughed slightly, his nose going runny from the heavy crying he had already been doing.

Interceptor huh? Recoil mainly asked for his own sake. Actually, in all truth, he wasn't asking. It was purely rhetorical. And, as he wanted to ransom off his subject, there was of course only one real course of action. He warmed up his communications systems. Opening up a communications link, he attempted to get a lock on a certain Autobot. It was pretty easy due to the fact he was a Decepticon (Recoil, not Interceptor) and could easily get a lock on someone who was having their kid ransomed back to them. Of course, the difficult part was locating the person themselves. After a bit of searching, he sent a "ping" to Interceptor. A ping, is nothing more than a radio message, just without the message. Plain and simple, it would show up on the com. link, would have Recoil's identification, and would basically be invitation to return contact. Alright then, what are your abilities? He was driving in the direction of a space bridge. For one reason, to head for the nearest Decepticon base.

"M-My abillities? I-I'm adopted I don't have any..." Adam replied looking for a way out of this. His hands were still free, which gave him an advantage if he could just find a way to break the glass. "If you're looking for someone with 'em y-you should kidnap someone else maybe..." He fidgeted the tape over his mouth extremely uncomfortable, his eyes stinging from the hot tears running down his face. With one hand he slowly reached for the door handle the first and best thing to try.

I'm not going to do anything like that. You are going to make me good money. Recoil just kept on his path. For no other reason, he was going to do so. He did not have too much choice in the matter anyway. He did, but he didn't really feel like doing too much anyway.
