"Eclairs, please!" Adrien replied with a big smile. "How about you sweet Monica Summers? Strawberry shortcake? Hot chocolate fudge with cold vanilla icecream?" He licked his lips feeling rather hungry for some sweets. "Ooh, creme brulee but mind you they are too sweet for the gums. Carrot cake? Eek, I really hate it when people find ways to mix the two things I love and hate, sugar and ve-ge-tables." He flashed a bright smile to Monica and said, "Well? I'm famished for some sweets."

Monica smiled at his enthusiasm, it was quite adorkable. "Hmmm that all sounds pretty good." she commented. " I think I'll have some vanilla ice cream and hot fudge." she replied to the waitress who was presently waiting for Adrien to decide. "Oookay," she said elongating the 'Oh' sound as she wrote down the order with a smile. "Just eclairs for you sir?" she asked Adrien politely. With a chuckle Monica said, "What all are you ordering then?" in response to him.

Adrien ran his tongue along his teeth, thinking hard about this certain food group. Ruffling both hands onto his shaggy blond hair, he responds. "Weeell, that's a tough choice now isn't it?" He strokes his chin, miming those old time detectives on the prowl. "Ah. a simple delicacy." he says with a renewed glint in his eyes. "Chocolate Chip Cookies!" he exclaims, almost proud of his brilliant suggestion. "The under dogs of desserts. Mind you, those such creations are always unappreciated because of their accessible states." he shakes his head in mock dismay. "But. But. But. They always come out on top don't they? Always winning the hearts of millions without the fancy tricks. Just the measure that they are simply irresistible." He grins, and raises both brows in Monica's direction, fully believing his own ramblings.

Monica smiled at the slight dorky-ness of his actions. It was pretty cute. She chuckled at his rambling. "I suppose so." she commented, the smile still on her face. When she thought about it, it was kinda true. "Okay, so chocolate chip cookies for the gentleman, and vanilla ice cream with hot fudge for the lady," the waitress said reading back their orders.
(( *doom* this is suckish, sorries!))

Adrien grins his approval to waitress. He stares at her intently and very silently telling her to leave and give them some peace. His grin turns loose once she finally does so. He clicks his tongue, moving forward and resting his elbows on the table. "So Monica Summers, anything new with you? Cause, I believe that I've said enough for this night. Although, my friends do love to point out that I tend to babble. But really, It just shows that my mind is in an active form and shape. Doesn't it? I mean really, does talking and voicing out your thoughts really that terrible?" he looks at her in such disbelief that he was almost screaming his thought of his friends. He shakes his head, trying to sit up. "Right, side tracked again--So, anything interesting that you'd be willing to give up?"

"Nothing too exciting has happened to me, as usual," Monica replied, a simple, small smile on her face. Her eyes fell downcast though, as her mind bombarded her with feelings and the knowledge that what she stated was a far cry from the truth. In reality, her dad had been sulking around. He tried to hide it, but she knew him too well to fall for that. The fact that the anniversary was coming up was hard on him, her as well, but she could conceal her feelings better than him by far. As her mind babbled, she began to feel bad for not telling Adrien. He'd shared something really personal with her, but she hadn't returned the gesture.
((i had no idea how to reply ^^" so i decided to bring personal emotion stuff up like you did with Romeo earlier. I'll try not to make it take long so we can close up this thread))

Adrien looks over his partner's downcast gaze. His mind questions this now cold response. Just moments ago, she was ready to tell him all about her life and now, she's just shut down. Seemingly afraid of spilling anything. He reaches over and grabs her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. He tries to make her look at him, using his finger to tilt her head up. He look at her with an adoring gaze. The look he tried to convey was one of pure confidentiality. He wanted her to trust him. He wanted to make her feel like she can just let loose and have fun, because he had already started to feel that about her.
It's true, he had really gotten comfortable as the night went on. Yes, he did happen to have spilled half of his thoughts on her at the start. But, once he had stopped, she didn't push on like so many other would've done. She had held back and let him filter through his thoughts and she was fantastic for that. So, now, he's trying to convice her that it's the same way for her. She could tell him all that she wanted but he wouldn't try to push on.
(Some slight explanation on the relationship thing)

A smile tugged at the corners of Monica's lips as she felt Adrien take her hand. She looked up a tad reluctantly to look at him as he tilted her head up. The look he was giving her encouraged her to trust him knowing that what she had to tell was safe with him. With a small, still not completely sure smile to him she began to spill.
"Truthfully, things have been rather hard." she started, taking a deep breath. "My father's been sulking around the house. He attempts to hide it, but he doesn't do it well. Seeing him like that makes it extremely difficult to try to not remember the upcoming event which in turn makes me feel worse." She paused, looking at Adrien to see any reaction to her words so far.

Adrien nods, indicating his understanding of her situation. He didn't have an answer though. Nothing seemed to be comforting in his head. All of it screamed 'You uncaring bastard!' So, he kept his mouth shut, trying to analyze his standing. Should he talk about his own problems to try to relate? Or would that just sound self centered? Ignoring all his ramblings, he went on with his words anyway, being carried on by curiousity. "Hard for you to remember too huh? I guess I couldn't say. My parents are still here. But, I see it all the time, and I know it hurts." He smiles, his raw and broken smile at her. "But, we have each other right?" He tries to grin. His unsuccessful attempt, only making him hold on to her hand tighter.

"mm-hm.... I'm glad you understand... I don't really tell many people about it..." Monica replied with a weak smile. "Yeah." she answered, glad she had support from him. However, she was surprised at herself for turning into an emotional wreck. Where had these emotions come from? She wasn't exactly sure, but she had a feeling that she felt so comfortable with Adrien that she unknowingly decided to let him know all about her and show him the raw, vulnerable side of her.

Adrien smiles, his thoughts vanishing as all his previous thoughts get pushed out of the way. He tugs at her hand, and nods to his right. He lifted a brow to try to lighten the current mood and match his wicked grin. Honestly, he wanted to rid himself of all the bad thoughts of the night, only wanting to keep the fun that they had once established. Then with that clever thought, all ideas about the awaiting dessert has vanished. "C'mon!" he says with that ever present grin, throwing the more than the needed amount upon the table and tugging Monica to the exit.

At the sudden change in atmosphere she began to smile a bit. What is this guy gonna do with me now? she thought with a chuckle. "Okay! Okay!" she said, his grin infectiously spreading to her face. "Where are we going?" she asked as he lead her towards the exit. This date was turning out to be a rather exciting one.

Adrien couldn't help but turn back to her with a michievous grin. He raises his brow, as if questioning her implications. But, he turns back, checking to see if the parking lot was clear. Ducking, lowering his stance, he tugs her forward. This, as his clear nod to childhood actions. Dates seem more of a hassle as one grows up. All the emotional baggage drags on, but this one, he won't let that bore happen to. So, he cowers back to a sitting position as a car passes by, allowing him to whisper to Monica, "Our own little adventure--- just us and no one else!" His smile tore up to his eyes, his giddy voice being an obvious reminder.

Monica shifted to his level as he crouched down. "Ah, so what is our little adventure going to be?" she asked, raising her brow in a questioning manner. As he had changed into a slightly childish mood, she did the same, referring back to how she acted as a child. Her voice sounded a bit excited when she asked the question, a grin on her face to match her company's. This would be quite interesting....
[[the end! mwahaha! we are suspenseful and shall keep you wondering forevah! xP]]
