"I would. The only other human I'm considering teaching is Danny. Everyone else knows what they need to know it seems or don't have an interest." Ratchet shrugged. "Yes, I'd feel a lot more confident about all this if your dads are at least told the truth. That's what I mean by 'we can work something out'." Ratchet would indeed be more at ease if at least one of them accepted Chris's wishes to be a medic. It really did seem like he had potential. The leg repaired operated and looked as it was supposed to, along with all the other little things he'd fixed behind Ratchet's back. That bit irked him some, but he let it go.

"Uncle Ratchet you don't even know how much hearing that means to me." Chris blinked a bit, he was still trying to take it all in. He had thought he'd need to hide his Medic Skills for his entire life most likely. But here was Ratchet, offering to give him a chance and actually teach him the thing he wanted so badly to do. What he wanted to go to college to learn. "Can I tell them... When I'm ready though?" He asked, he wanted to tell them at the right time, when he could get them both in the same room.

"Yeah...might be best. Don't rush it. I've got patients all the time." Ratchet paused, thinking of something. "If you do talk to them and it works out eventually, if you're interested and they approve, I might be able to take you on an internship type deal whenever I go to India again." he didn't know if Danny would come with him next time or not, but that could be around a week or several months from now, or even more than that...he just didn't know. Ratchet usually got the orders from Optimus at the last minute.

"Don't worry I just want to get them in the same room and tell it to them both calmly." Chris looked at Ratchet at his next comment, he had only been to Diego Garcia once when he was barely a few years old. "R-Really? That would be awesome, I've wanted to go there for so long." He thought calmly, then looked at Ratchet, he was makign a great offer. And though he knew being Ratchet's apprentice was gonna be a lot of hard work, he was not turning it down. "Ratchet, you've got yourself an apprentice." He said simply.

"Very well, I'm honored to work with you. Keep in mind, India is not as fun as it sounds. I will be happy to take you if I get both Jazz and Optimus's permission, especially Optimus's." Ratchet replied nodding his head solemnly.
Ratchet hadn't ever taught a human the medical field before...this should be interesting. At least Chris had already proved a lot of skill, so he wouldn't have to start from scratch like he would with a kid off the street.

"I know it's gonna be a lot of work, but what isn't?" Chris replied with a very wide grin he tried to contain his excitement, which was very hard. He thought for a moment, then looked up at Ratchet again. "When and at what time do you want me to come in and start work?" He figured it would be tomorrow at some time, but he figured he would ask anyway.

"Whenever you think you can manage. We'll say sometime in the morning a day from now. Not too early so you can be alert and study a bit before hand. I have paper work to catch up on anyway, along with some sleep. We can finish the drone the following day. Sound good?"Ratchet replied. He mocked the human yawn again, feeling pretty tired. "Don't get in the habit of staying up as late as I do. After a while it gets so taxing that some of us crash."

Chris smiled a bit at Ratchet, and nodded. "That sounds good to me Ratchet. I have to catch up on homework tomorrow too." He then added "But I do have the next week off from school after what happened with the 'cons. So it won't be a problem." He commented, then yawned lightly "I should get to bed though, before my Dad's wonder where I am." He then added as he began to walk out "Goodnight Uncle Ratchet."

"Very well. Try not to stress out over your first day too much." Ratchet replied, partly joking with a brief smile on his face. Ratchet had yet to figure out how hard he really would be on Chris for his first day. Chris already knew a fair bit. He'd at least keep the working pace to a normal standard so he wouldn't rush progress and risk messing up a procedure or dropping any important parts.
"Good luck and goodnight."He nodded at Chris and then glanced back at the drone, deciding he'd inspect it tomorrow. Ratchet followed Chris out the main hallway and turned the opposite direction, moving past his office to a room a few doors down where he usually preferred to sleep. It was practically his preferred bedroom. Ratchet could bounce up in a hurry any time he needed to.
