''There is more to them then meets the eye
Personality: Optimus is one of the most gentle Autobots you could meet, and actually, is the Autobot among Autobots, obviously being the leader. It's not hard to get along with him, but then again, it's not the hardest thing to earn enemies with him also. That really rests on the symbol you choose to wear on your chest.
A herioc fighter, Optimus puts his heart into what he does, and makes all his decisions based on what's best for Earth, the humans, and this planet itself. Although sometimes that action may upset him, like having to leave an Autobot behind, or loosing a member of his allies.
Likes: Autobots, peace, NEST, Earth, its humans, and saving worlds and people
Dislikes: Decepticons, Megatron, the destruction of Cybertron, loosing a comrade, and being taunted
Fears: the destruction of Earth, one of his decisions leading to the loss of life, and loosing to the Decepticon Cause
Your Greatest Strength: We all know Optimus has so many things about him, but his greatest strength would have to be his leadership skills. If allowed, he will make decisions with others, and include Captain Lennox and his Autobots into the plan.
Your Greatest Weakness: His weakness would be Chris. It's not hard for any Decepticon to see the connection between father and son, and how much the leader cares for him. Not to mention, how he'd do just about anything to keep him safe.

History: After taking leadership over Cybertron with Megatron, the Transformers lived in harmony. There were no Autobots or Decepticons, and Optimus wished to keep it that way, but of course, it didn't stay that way. One day, the Decepticons attacked, and so began the war. He rallied up the few who hadn't joined the Decepticon caused, and Autobots rose. They fought bravely against the Decepticons, and their planet was destroyed.
News of Megatron's fleet from Cybertron reached his ears, and Optimus sent one of his most trusted to Earth to protect Sam, as he owned the glasses that Megatron had caved a navigation into to the whereabouts of the cube was. The glasses belonged to his great great grandfather, Archibal Witwicky.
A message came back to Cybertron from Bumblebee, and Optimus took along with him his field medic, Ratchet, their weapon specialist, Ironhide, and Destignation Jazz, their second lieutenant. On Earth, he took the shape of a peterbuilt semi truck. His first mission: meet Sam. After that meeting, they went back to Sam's house in search of his glasses, destroying the yard. Then, Sector 7 attacked, and took Sam's family and Mikaela away. Optimus lifted the vehicle, tearing the hood off, and soon, backup arrived, taking Sam, Mikaela, and Bumblebee away to Hoover's Dam. There, the Allspark and Megatron himself were discovered.
After convincing by William Lennox, Sam, Mikaela, and Bumblebee were set free, and the trio met up with Optimus and his crew, Optimus turning 180 degrees to join in with the party. There they went to Mission City, where the final battle took place.
On their way, Optimus had a little run in with Bonecrusher. The two fought, and fell off the highway. Optimus, pinned behind a pillar, pulled out his sword and fought against him. He killed the Decepticon by plunging his sword into Bonecrusher's throat. Which, ultimately delayed him.
When he finially got to the battle, he and Megatron fought, and Megatron made quick work of him with a fire from his bazooka he was able to create by combining his hands together. Megatron then pursued Sam, and swung a mace into the building, causing Sam to fall, but fall into Prime's hands. Diving from the building back to the ground, he told Sam, "Sam, you sacrifice your life to save the cube. If I cannot kill Megatron, you must push the cube into my chest. I will give sacrifice my life in order to destroy it. Now, get behind me." Fighting Megatron, he was beaten by him, and Megatron was stalled by heavy fire from the Airforce. He told Sam to put the cube to his chest, but Sam instead used the cube on Megatron, killing him.
He found out that Jazz had died, and was saddened by it. The war was won.
NEST was formed, and they fought side by side to destroy the remaining Decepticons. While pursueing Wheelbot, before his death, he warned them with the saying "The Fallen will rise again." Optimus blasted him, and said "Not today Decepticon." He didn't know what that had meant, and went back to NEST base, talking to some guy. The two had a conversation, and ended with Prime asking him, "Let me ask you something. What if we leave, and your wrong?"
Megatron rose again, and attempted to take information from Sam using Scalpel. Optimus and Bumblebee bursted in, and Optimus blasted the small Decepticon to bits, and took Sam while Bumblebee took Mikaela and Sam's roommate, Leo to safety.
Megatron, Gravel, and Starscream pursued Optimus, and the three fought, which evidently ended in the death of Optimus as he shouted, "Sam, where are you." He held onto the blade stabbed through him by Megatron from his back, and fell to the ground, his last words being, "Sam, run." The leader's eyes closed.
After being resurected by Sam, the Autobots fought off the remaining Decepticons. Jetfire ripped his spark from his chest, which was put into Optimus to give him the strength he needed to kill the Fallen, and Optimus killed Fallen. Aboard a ship home, Optimus thanked Sam for saving his life.
But no one knew better than him the war was not over. With Megatron and Starscream somewhere in the universe, all the Autobots can do is sit and wait, searching for any sign that the leader is returning.
But along with that, Chris, Optimus son is living at their base, and the two are getting along just fine, enjoying the peace they both have seemed to earned.
