"Quite possibly. Everyone has to have a little freedom." KITT replied, listening to her hum. The tune was almost foreign to him for the fact that well...he hardly ever 'slept', if never, and...supposedly thats all there was to it, other than that he didn't necessarily know everything about 'human ways'. Needless to say, KITT had nothing against her singing, but he knew of the tune/recognized it regardless. "If you need a ride back I can take you. I don't have anything important to do this morning/afternoon."

Carwen nodded slowly and stared at the ground. She shifted and looked over at the grass again. She felt as if drawn to those broken stalks before her reveire was broken by KITT’s voice, causing her to look into the windshield. She blinked a little in surprise and responded, “Thank you KITT. Unless you have to leave, I’ll probably take you up on that offer.”
She looked over across the horizon. She looked out of the corner of her eyes at the broken stalks before slowly getting off of her leaning position and going over there. She kneeled down and began to look through the broken stalks. She continued to look through the stalks and winced a little as she saw the way some of the dirt was kind-of slashed into. “Wow,” she murmured and looked up.
“I’m surprised that tree is still standing,” she commented as she walked back over to KITT.

"Yes, it's roots are very strong. Stronger than most around here. And persistent." KITT agreed. He paused a moment and scanned the tree, inspecting the hundres of intricate circles of ageing. "It's been here far longer than either of us." KITT hoped no Decepticon would randomly tear it down out of anger-he'd hate to have the tree fall in such an unfair way. "Strong roots are it's foundation. Figuratively speaking, it seems humans need them as well."

Carwen smiled as KITT scanned the tree. She looked at the natural work of art. She leaned gently against the truck and made a slight face as he explained the roots. She shifted and shrugged before she muttered, "My father is John Doe, so I don't really understand that. Oh, and my mother was disowned, so, I actually know nothing about my family, beyond my mother. So...I guess that makes me a sapling, right?"
As she continued, however, she perked up. She looked over, into the windshield and added, "I have something few others have...an actual clean slate. Nothing that my parents, well one, or grandparents have done, will officially influence me at all! I can truely be my own person! Wow...eh...still sucks, not knowing anything. On to happier topics!"
Carwen just couldn't think of any new topics of conversation.

"Your situation was similar to Cira...but she only had one of her aunts..." However, Cira's history had turned out much different. KITT remembered the other tiny bot Carwen had met. "But yes, onto a different subject. What was that one tiny bot like? I think I recall you mentioning that you met one..."

Carwen smiled happily. "Wheelie? He's adorable, but no one seems to think so, that poor guy! He was so cute...but he loved being a hugged a little much. He's so adorable though! He's so cute! But, he said something about being a 'Con...but I doubt that. He was too cute!" she responded cheerfully, sounding almost over joyed over talking about Wheelie.
She smiled and looked over at KITT, into the windshield. "He was so small. He...was so small, like a little kid really! A really little kid...just a bit perverted," she responded with a little laugh.
She didn't mind that part, but she let it pass.

"Wheelie? That's a neat name for a robot." KITT mused. He had no real opinion about the bot liking hugs other than that it was a little amusing. "He's a Decepticon? He could have changed sides. If he were a true Decepticon, I don't think he'd be liking those hugs. He might have hurt you if he was."

"Yeah...he said something about not being with those guys anymore. He's...so adorable! And he calls me Princess. I think he changed sides though, otherwise Cira would have probably shot him. He was adorable though...still is. You are on a different adorable level. He's like...child adorable...though not," Carwen responded softly.
She smiled and shook her head a little before the cheerful sound of a text made her pull out the cell. She flushed a little and looked over at KITT. "Mom needs me. Can you drive slow please? I would still love to talk to you," she responded quietly.

"Yes, Cira probably would. She's fairly scary when she has a weapon." KITT replied as his passenger door on the other side opened. Like Bee, he only liked to save the drivers seat for a few people out there. He supposed one day if Carwen wanted to go out for a drive, he would let her. Holo-KITT appeared in a few fluctuations of red energy from the driver's seat to make it more believable that someone was actually driving the vehicle. "Sure, I would be happy to."

Carwen smiled and got into the passenger seat with a soft sigh of releif. Buckling in, she wondered over the 4x4 for a moment, then looked over at the hologram. "No offense, but thank goodness, a face to talk to! Sorry, but I always prefered looking people in the eyes, or at least at their face when I talk to them," she explained with a smile.
She nestled a little into the seat, and looked over at the hologram. She smiled more and added, "Anything else you want to ask me?"
She didn't mind answering question. She shifted, though gently, and she looked over at the hologram. She loved this part. She loved the hologram, since it have her whole 'looking people in the face' thing.

"I see...I'll have to keep that in mind. Most people don't seem to mind-and where I used to work, I had no holo-form so it was common place to talk to me in my two vehicle forms. My partner was particularly used to it."he chuckled at remembering some of the arguments he and Mike used to have.
KITT backed all the way up out of the lookout at a steady pace. He hit the brakes gently then turned around 90 degrees once he was back on the road. "Well, can't think of anything in particular...I guess...why'd you move to Tranquility?"

Carwen made a face and leaned back a little more. "Mom wanted to get away from the whispers. Unmarried mom. If you look up more on it thorugh the internet, you could get the religious vision of it," she answered softly with a shrug, though from the way her shoulders had tensed, she was very glad for the change as well.
She shifted a little and added, "They didn't like me very much either."

KITT accelerated and headed deeper into town. He was a bit confused about certain parts of her explanation. "What do you mean by getting away from the whispers?" KITT asked, his emotionless voice sounding a notch or two lower than normal. If it was a phrase he hadn't heard of before, it would explain his confusion, because he seemed to understand everything else she explained.

Carwen didn't like explaining about the whispers. She sighed softly and responded, "Okay...in the town my mom was born and raised in, sex before marraige was something that did not happen, and if it did, you went to a friend for nine months should the evidence begin to show and you don't raise the child on your own. My mother did. The whispers come from...the fact she did that. I am a bastard child, a child born out of wedlock in a town that didn't and still doesn't accept that. They beleive in marraige and...yeah, the whispers. I was very happy to move to a place that didn't seem to care."
That was it. That was all there was to it. Carwen had hated that place...almost. "They said that my asthma was my mom's punishment for having sex out of marriage," she added.

"I still don't understand human ways...I'm sorry to hear they thought that of your mother. It is obvious she cares greatly for you. I don't think she deserves that kind of judgement, even if she did make a mistake. At least she is making up for it...perhaps we should change the subject." KITT suggested. KITT was learning much more about the touchy sides of human life styles, and this kind of subject was one of them. He was quickly learning when to give the people he spoke to a chance to focus on something else. Perhaps not beat around the bush, but in once-light conversations, it was always nice to have the option. "I mean I don't want to pry, I was just curious..."
