God damn was it raining. Connor didn't hate the rain, but he preferred not being soaking wet and shivering cold. It was night time and dark out with lightning clashing with thunder through the sky. It boomed like roaring drums of the Rockies, and poured like it's waterfall. Connor had decided he wouldn't need a coat today and well, he thought wrong. He perked the collar of his shirt up a bit to try and keep his neck warm with his hands in his pant pockets.
He looked around a bit, thinking he heard foot steps but shook it off. What a great day he picked to walk. He couldn't help but mutter as his clothing, hair, and well himself all together became fully soaked in no time. His green hulk eyes however, seemed far from cold and shivering and as he kept his stare towards the ground and the path in front of him, though he couldn't see much anyways in this dark.

Garret was walking down the road, taking his common weekly walk. He usually read during these, but today it was raining. Oh well, it didn't faze him, for he had come up with something to avoid being soaked during his walk a while back. He had just never taken the time to try it out. It worked; he was walking with his thing-a-ma-jig on his back, and since the rain was falling straight down, he could read without worry. All it was was an old book bag, with an umbrella stuck in it, then pumped full of liquid/solidifying foam, sorta like styrofoam. It easily kept him dry. He was good at walking while reading, looking five feet ahead of him over the top of his book.
He had selected a rather old book, but then again, those were the originals, and it seemed as if no idea was new anymore. This one was a rather good book, part of a series called The Dragonriders of Pern. It was the specific book, The White Dragon. It was a wonderful book so far. Garret closed the book, he was getting a little bored, he could continue reading for hours, but he was ready to do something else. He noticed there was somebody in front of him. He looked at his watch, he had been walking long enough, it was time for him to turn back, in about thirty seconds. He'd meet up with the person walking in his direction about that time too, because of the fact that, no matter what, Garret often walked on the wrong side of the road, just because he didn't really like taking the small mental process to think about which side was the correct side. Hello! What are you doing out here? You're soaking wet.

Connor was cursing under his breath a couple times to himself for not wearing a coat. "Stupid weather report, dry and sunny my ass." He continued walking, hearing the clap of his shoes as they hit wet pavement and dirt from the side of the road. He reached up with his right hand and brushed his bangs softly from his eyes, before returning it to his pant pocket. He would have brought his board, but Danielle had broken that. She and him had run into a big Decepticon known as Goliath and she pretty much sacrificed his childhood board to an explosive. Yeah he was happy they hadn't been hit but not for his board that was not dust in the sand.
Connor jerked/flinched violently as he heard a voice call over to him and spun around fast enough for him to almost slip and fall in the mud. To save his balance he withdrew his hands from his pockets and kept his arms at the steady. Connor squinted slightly as he put his arms back down at his sides while lighting's flash blinded him momentarily, before reopening them to take a view of the new comer. "Uh, just walkin' you?" His eyes set on the umbrella contraption before moving them back to Garret curiously.

Rain was pouring, but a teenager didn't seem the bit phased by the thrumming of the rain as it landed against the ground, exploding into harmless drops of water. His hair was soaked, yes, but he didn't give a damn. He had caught some signatures while looking for some Autobots or Decepticons.
Waiting for the two, the blonde watched as they came, his unwavering eyes scowling at Conner. Then they scowled at Garret. What were the two hanging out together for? The son of an Autobot hanging out with Shockwave's son? Talk about betrayel. With another glare to Conner, he walked beside Garret, ignoring Mudflap's son altogether. Garret and him would have a talk.

The rain falling down just bounced off the top of his umbrella, which Garret wasn't even holding. He was talking to someone he didn't know, which was just fine by him, he wasn't too cautious. Just going out for a walk. Garret. Name? He just kept walking. He was mainly waiting for the guy next to him to respond. Pretty soon, a familiar figure appeared through the rain. Garret kept up until he was near the person so he would know for sure who it was.
Hey, long time no see! What've you been... Uh. Why do you look so... Mad? He didn't think he had ever seen Daniel look like this. Well, he hadn't seen Daniel often enough to know what he was like all the time, so this could've just been his customary expression. He had looked angry those times, but never this furious. Garret felt like he was in for something, if not just because of the fact that Daniel hadn't been saying anything, and also possibly because Daniel was shooting glares at both of them, if most of the daggers flew to Garret's new acquaintance.

Connor hadn't known Garret either, not even the name. He seemed friendly enough so no bein uptight or tense. "Connor, nice ta meet cha Garre...." Connor couldn't help but trail off at the new heavy hot yet dark feeling he was getting. Like something sinister staring straight at him, he wasn't sure if this emotion was ''getting the creeps'' or if he was getting sick. Either way.
He spotted Daniel, he didn't know him either but he saw from the glaring he was definitely a hostile one. 'Just walk away Connor don't cause trouble.' But he had no intentions of doing so of course.
[ sorry it's short had to go ]

Daniel looked at Garret, the two beginning to switch names. When two share names, it usually meant a future chat, which could lead to friends, and that was not good. Time to take matters into his own hands.
"Excuse us." His tone was demanding, a tone a leader would give addressing someone lower than himself. He then turned to Garret, waiting a few seconds so the two could have some more privacy.
He knew better than to never trust an Autobot, and that included the techno organics on their side. Daniel gave him a glance, making sure that it was safe to speak to Garret without the kid trying to eavesdrop. "Garret, Shockwave wouldn't be happy with you, and neither would Megatron. That kid, whatever the hell his name is, is the son of an Autobot, I'm picking up Autobot signature readings all over him."

I'm in for it now. Garret looked at Daniel. This tone he had, it practically said, "You should be happy if you don't find yourself dead." When Conner had moved away and Daniel had started lecturing him, Garret paid attention closely, he'd probably learn the cause of this.
Shit! Garret had been pretty loud when he said that. Looking at Daniel, he quieted his voice. Damn it. He's an Autobot? Shit. I'm dead. And I never met the scum before in my life. You got any ideas of how I can make up for this? Because I'm not going to be dying anytime soon. Not if I can help it.

Connor didn't really have time for this, nor did he care for this. He didn't want his Dad mad at him for missing curfew. Though usually Mudflap let ten or twenty minutes late slide, he didn't usually lecture him for being late. He just worried. Connor wasn't exactly keen on worrying his Dad so he started walking again. That one dude was really givin' him the creeps anyways.
His shoes mad the same clapping sound of hard pavement, a she couldn't get Daniel's glares out of his head. He wasn't that far from them, still just started walking. There was something about Daniel that made him think.. Naw. Probably just another one of those trouble makers. Something he'd never sensed before seemed to be making his brain yell at him that that kid had something to do with the Decepticons, well not just the Decepticon, but Megatron himself. He wasn't sure if this was some instinct he hadn't experienced before or if he was being paranoid. But the way he glared at him, peh. He needed to get home so he tried to pull something else up on his mind. "Whatever, later then." He waved them off before replacing his hands back into his pockets and pulling a phone out. Maybe he should call his Dad and let him know he'd be late... Naw, he'll be okay.
Well he didn't want Pops to worry, maybe just a quick call. Flipping the top of his black Razor with a red stripe through the middle up, he dialed in the homing number for Mudflap.

Mudflap was cruising Tranquility when he heard his son's call. His vehicle form's headlights flickered a bit upon connecting to the call, but the flicker was barely noticeable. "Yo little dude, hows it hanging?"

Daniel felt a little more at ease knowing Garret didn't know he was communicating with an Autobot. Well, there was always the possibility of acting, but he seemed shocked and honest. There, for now, was no possibility of a traiter with Garret. He sighed.
"Nice to know you're still on our side. I'm sure Shockwave will let it slip. Just this once. Just... be more careful. I can't keep every techno from associating with the wrong person. Best way to wind up dead. Autobots don't give a damn about us. As long as their kids are safe, then they're happy." He snorted. "If their kids weren't so damn weak, then they'd not have to worry." He almost laughed. "Guess they got that from their parents as well."
He didn't care if Conner heard him or not. There was nothing he could do about it.

Well, there isn't much we can do now in any case. Except beat him up, and I don't think I want to take the chance of a 'worried Autobot' driving up during the process. Garret looked back at Daniel. Yeah, that's where they got the weakness. They most likely wouldn't last more than a week without their Autobot chumps of parents, if that. He looked down at his feet. Garret knew that many of the Autobots would consider him weak, but at least he knew when the right time to get out of a location was, even better, he would injure someone if he was going to die. Eh, it wasn't always about the brawn though. Brains over brawn, that was how it was supposed to go. But, sometimes brawn did win. Garret figured that was why smart people could easily trick weaker muscle heads, and were often the commanders. It's always better to be strong in mind or body, than to be weak in both. And, as far as I know, all the Autobot Techno-organics are weak in both. I haven't gotten close enough to find out otherwise.
{Well, fixed that little mistake. Sorry about that.}

[ Jetta didn't say Mudflap pulled up ]
"Yeah, I was just callin ta say I'll probably get back la-...." Connor stopped in his tracks, hearing exactly what the two had said. His face crumpled slightly to show a bit of anger and frustration. "Later Pops, I have something to take care of." Connor hit the wrong button on his phone, not exactly shutting it off like what usually happened and got him into trouble with minutes. storing his phone into his left front pocket he spun around to face Daniel and Garret, only about fourteen two sixteen feet away.
"Eh, if you've gotta problem come say it to my face! doesn't matter who you think you are, but the dumb shit that just spilled outta your mouth!" Connor wasn't one to usually start fights, to his point of view he was just tellin those tow to mind their own business. He wasn't exactly one big on fighting, but he'd go all out if he had to. But if you wanted to insult his Dad like that, not just any Autobot, you'd surely get his attention which isn't what you always wanted. Two against him, especially Daniel in this case however didn't seem like good odds.
