Walking into the front doors of the NEST base Koryn glanced around at the soilders and oher workers there. THis was alittle nerve racking but what else was there to do? The 17 year old wore camoflauge pants, the bottoms tucke dinto black military style boots alogn with a dark green tank-top with long straps, the bottom a few inches hanging over the the pants.Around the straps of her pants was a balck belt with a silver buckle and ehr hair up in a ponytail like fashin, two strands of her bangs hanging on either side of her face. She sighed as she came up tot he front desk telling who she was and asking for ehr father.
The soldier gave her a hard look before paging her father who came with a large smileon his face, eager to show Koryn around. Maybe she would also eet these Autobots she ahd been told bout plenty of times by now. Following to a side door it closed, echoing down the long hall and finally they came to a aprt of the walk way with rails on either side. Koryn paused ot look down seeing a high platform eblow and a large dooropened to reveal the outside. There were planes and jets outside, some even for loading things.
So where were these Autobots? Were there even any of thm in the base at this current time?

Leo sighed as he went through the clerance levels and entered into NEST for his usual visit...and grading. He usually graded at the base and he let out a low sigh. Looking around slightly, he wondered where everybody was at before giving a shrug, his nice, dark gray, jacket moving with his shoulders before they fell still around his jean tops.
He grinned a little before walking along a little quicker until he got to the rec room. "No destroying the tests this time guys, or I put a laxitive into the coffee," he threatened before he began to get into his set of tests.
This week's pop test...as in about 45 questions or so. It varied between the different forms and he grinned a little as he pulled out a purple highlighter, marking everything up before putting it back into his file folder that held his tests. "Oh, my...cheating already? Naughty, naughty kids," he murmurred.
And there the young man sat, with his jeans, his nice, untucked shirt, with the dark gray jacket, leaned back slightly on his chair. He shook his head a little at the pathetic attempts to cheat.

"Honestly dad, I got another year of high school then I'll join NEST. You make it sound like it's a big deal already." koryn complained as she followe dhim to the rec. room already fumming over him telling her what to do for HER future when she could amek her own choice. "Koryn, don't start arguing here and I'm doing what's best for you." her father insisted as they entered the room, "Now just sit down and I'll be right back." He then disapepared once more out of the door. Mumbbling under her breathe koyrn went and sat ina chair, noting that several toher thigns were transformer-sized in ehre and human-sized as well. But she realized there was someone els ehere, maybe a few eyars older then ehr, who seemed ot be waiting for something. Not giving it much thought Koryn merely sat down and sighed.
"Of all the jobs my dad could ahve gotten." She sighed out loud. It wasn't the fact being in the military helping giant robots would be cool it was jsut tha tit may not be the career for her. But what choice was there? Already she had promised she would help out NEST upon the condition she could still attend college at elast and finish her education for when she did quit NEST, several years from now.

Leo looked up as someone sat next to him. He shook his head a little and stated, "You look like one of my Chemistry students. Here, go over these. They are my basic Chemistry students. You might have fun and you sat at my table, meaning you get to help me grade. Leon Ponce de Leon at your service...most call me Mr. Leon or Leo."
He grinned his cheeky grin, though it had toned considerably the last tie he had smiled it at a pretty girl and leaned back slightly as he went to his AP students. "They just keep getting smarter. Like this one. Little Laula. 13 and hitting a 93%...while trying but she is certainly working on it. She just gets smarter. Her teachers are amazed...her History teacher is just shocked someone is listening for once," he added softly, shaking his head at the test score.
98%.
Averaged that in...she could be at 95% before the semester was out.

Koryn looked over slgihtly at Leo, she had not suspected he was a chemistry teacher, or a techer at all for that manner. "Help grade papers sounds better then ahving to sit here and wait for my father to get applications and things like that. BUt as usual I don't ahve much a say int he matter." She sighed. "Parents can be a big pain sometimes." Upon hereing about the 13 year old Koryn wa simpressed about the grades, it wa shigher then ehr grades this semstr that was for sure. "A 13 year old...she sounds ike she does better in school then i do in Junior year all together." She smiled alittle. "Well no problem in that really, chesmitry wasn't really that hard back when i took it last year." She said with ashurgg.

Leo grinned a little and nodded. "At times, parents can be a pain. Why don't you just tell him how you feel, or does he just not hear you? Does he just have not want to hear, so badly wanting you here or something? And why don't you just ignore it? Sorry. I had parents that were really supportive of me, but they sent me off to one of those high performance places. They wanted me to have the greatest education they could pay for," he responded with a shrug.
He finished up the next AP test and grinned a little. "Oh, he didn't try at all," he stated with a shake of his head, before looking up at her.
"She tries not to flaunt it. If you ever swing by Tranquility High, come visit me. Chemistry Lab 104. First floor of the Lab building," he greeted with a grin and went back to the tests.
"Enjoying this?" he asked.

"You could say my parents don't technically listen to me, even if I tellt hem they don't really care what I say any more." Koryn replied not wantign to go into full detail of the arguments and constant nagging about her future. "Your a teacher at Tranquility? I go to school there already, just I don't have as much freedom as alot of kids. But I'll drop by sometime after school if I can." She said managing to sum up a small smile. Maybe at least knwoing someone who understood this stuff wouldn't be so bad.
At his next question Koryn thought for a moment but didn't really know what to think at this moment. "i guess it's not so bad ehre, I might just be overacting. What got me to come here was first meeting someone called Sam Witwicky or whatever the last name was and then a Autobot called Tailwind I met on a ride near the highway. So I'm pretty much in this without really knowing what I was getting into." She said shrugging.

Leo laughed a little and tossed back his head slightly before shaking it a little, finishing up with his AP class. "Sorry, I shouldn't laugh, but I was talking about the grading. Though, of course, that does help in me understanding you. NEST is more of a military institution...I never really tried to understand it," he explained with a small shrug.
He opened a file folder with his next class and looked up with a grin, "I only have the clearence to get in here because I met the Autobots during the Egypt situation."
Leo shifted and continued to grade his papers, the purple highlighter marking up the tests. "Any questions, there is a Key taped to the front of the folder," he added, jumping around in the conversation they were having.
A shake of his head as more cheaters were discovered and he pulled out an empty blu efolder, before putting all the cheater tests in there. "If any are exactly the same...show them to me before we push it off as cheating," he added, before finishing up a this folder.

Koryn nodded, she felt embarressed for gmixing up th emeaning of his question but looked at the papers rtying to focus on it and also alot of other thigns were on her mind. "Koryn," He rfather's voice made her jump alittle since she ahdn't ehar dhim come in. "Yes?" Shhe said loking at her dad, "HEre,this is some paper work you have to fill out for later." HE said. Taking the large stack Koryn's eyes widened, that was an awful lot of paper work just to look and sign. Looking back up Koryn's father was gone and Koryn sighed in frustration. "I really hate paperwork, feels like a homework all over again." She muttered and began to look over the information.

Leo shifted and gently smiled. "It's quite all right," he responded gently and looked up when her father walked in, though he quickly rescued his tests before they got lost in the paperwork avalanche.
"Do you mind?" he muttered quietly, before settling them away from the paperwork and let out a low whistle.
He forgot how much paperwork there was to get into NEST. He eyed it and shook his head, going back to his own tests and watched the dad go. "A lot of my students are this way too. Their parents just don't listen to them," she responded.
